Since his birth, we co-bathed with Jonah as it felt safer and more secure, and good for skin-to-skin contact thus supporting breastfeeding, and, well, squeeeeee – bathing with our new baby! We never did figure out which bath support or baby bath to buy and bathing with him felt good. Once he could sit upright at a week past six months, he started to love bath time a lot more and he had more baths on his own in the tub. We still try to avoid bathing him more than twice a week as we think some bacteria is good. But water can be so relaxing, and Jonah got dirtier when he started feeding himself with baby led weaning. At the start we used no bubble bath or any other product in the bath. Then we introduced Weleda Calendula Shampoo and Body Wash to clean his nappy area and hair only.…

I’m a big fan of German brand Eco Cosmetics. One of the first products I tried of theirs was Eco Cosmetics Conditioner, which I bought alongside their moisturising shampoo. What’s great about this brand is that it has so much to offer at a great price. All Eco Cosmetics products are certified organic and vegan, and the brand is totally cruelty free. All their products are made with well water, which makes them more sustainable. My first impression of the Eco Cosmetics range is that the packaging is a little clinical for a green brand. The bottles in the range look very similar. This brand really doesn’t shout about its credentials and benefits – and it should! It’s a good brand, with effective and value for money natural products. So let’s look at Eco Cosmetics Conditioner. Eco Cosmetics Conditioner The standout advantage of this conditioner is the natural ingredients it contains.…

Lavera Sensitive Toothpaste is one of my favourite natural toothpastes. Lavera say that it offers protection from tooth decay, naturally whitens teeth, and gives clean, mint-fresh breath. The toothpaste uses sea salt to clean the teeth thoroughly, yet gently, without harming dentine. There are several toothpastes in the Lavera Basis Sensitiv range – Classic, Organic Mint, and Kid’s varieties. This one is for those with sensitive teeth. As with other Lavera products, it’s Natrue certified. This is not a sensitive toothpaste that offers active protection from sensitivity, like a conventional sensitive toothpaste. These toothpastes contain an active ingredient, potassium nitrite, to seal holes in the dentine. Lavera Basis Sensitiv Toothpaste simply isn’t as abrasive as other natural toothpastes. Let’s have a look at the ingredients. Lavera Basis Sensitiv Sensitive Toothpaste ingredients Aqua, Sorbitol, Silica, Xylitol, Glycerin, Maris Sal, Betaine, CI 77891, Xanthan Gum, Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Algin, Chamomilla Recutita Flower…

Eco Cosmetics Moisturising Shampoo is an effective and value for money organic shampoo. It contains some wonderful plant-based ingredients to treat dry hair. I find it quite amazing that Eco Cosmetics can offer an Ecocert certified shampoo at a very reasonable price! Eco Cosmetics claim the shampoo strengthens and protects the hair, and works well for sensitive scalps. This makes it ideal for those with scalp psoriasis like myself. I’ve had no irritation or discomfort from this shampoo. It cleans as well as a sulfate based shampoo, without any of the harshness. Not much of this clear-gel shampoo is needed to create a really good lather, and it cleans squeaky clean. It has a zingy green tea fragrance which is very refreshing. There’s also a conditioner that goes with it. Let’s take a look at the ingredients. Eco Cosmetics Moisturising Shampoo ingredients Aqua, Olea Europaea Leaf Extract, Coco Glucoside, Lauryl…
