Lavera makeup review

Lavera makeup

In this post I’m sharing my favourite Lavera makeup.

Lavera is one of the first brands I chose when I started to buy natural beauty. I’ve already posted about some of my favourite Lavera products, such as Lavera Colour and Shine Shampoo, Lavera Deodorant, and Lavera Sensitive Toothpaste.

The Lavera makeup range is really comprehensive. Each product I’ve tried from the range is good quality and excellent value for money.

One of the great things about Lavera is that all of their products are NATRUE certified. I come back to Lavera time and time again!

I used my favourite Lavera makeup items to create this natural daytime look.

For my base I used Dr. Botanicals Kale Superfood Nourishing Day Moisturiser, and Faerie Minerals Maximum Coverage Foundation in Porcelain.

My review of Lavera makeup

Lavera Mineral Eyeshadow Quattro in Smokey Grey

Disclosure: I received Lavera Glowing Highlighter, Lavera Soft Eyeliner, and Lavera Butterfly Effect Mascara to try by Lavera. My opinions are honest and my own.

This was one of the first Lavera makeup items I invested in. I have the Smokey Grey palette, but there’s also a Cappuccino Cream, and Blue Platinum palette.

As you can see, I’ve used a lot more white than any of the other shades. In the selfie above, I’m only wearing the white shade as I’ve tried to achieve a minimal look.

The eyeshadow is easy to apply, doesn’t crease, has excellent coverage, and is long lasting. Its natural fragrance comes from essential oils.

A staple in my makeup bag, and I’d love to try the Cappuccino Cream palette.

Lavera Glowing Highlighter in Shining Pearl

This is my first time using a highlighter, and I’m really enjoying having the extra dimension to my complexion.

Lavera Glowing Highlighter in Shining Pearl

It’s easy to apply and naturally fragranced. It’s based on moisturising castor and jojoba seed oils with some really nice plant extracts such as sea buckthorn and mallow.

Lavera Soft Eyeliner in Brown

What I like about this eyeliner is how soft it is. I can line my waterline with it, which I love.

Lavera Soft Eyeliner in Brown

It’s a rich chocolate colour, but also comes in black, grey, golden brown, blue, and green. It contains jojoba, shea butter, and candelilla wax.

I find it does smudge more easily than harder eyeliners, but I carry it with me for touch ups.

Definitely one of my favourite natural eyeliners!

Lavera Butterfly Effect Mascara in Black

Lavera offers about a dozen natural mascaras for all kinds of different looks. I chose Butterfly Effect Mascara and I’m impressed with the results.

The mascara contains silk to fill and lengthen stumpy lashes. It has a helpful curved brush to help you reach into the fiddly corner lashes and give your lashes extra curl.

After use, my lashes are well defined, lengthened, and thicker. It’s not quite as long lasting as some, and I do get some smudging by the end of the day.

All in all, a good value mascara that can be used everyday or layered for a more dramatic look.

Lavera Glossy Lips in Hazel Nude

I’m wearing this natural lip gloss in the selfie above. I really love it, and wear it daily! The colour is a gorgeous nude that looks so natural. The finish is glossy, but it doesn’t feel sticky. There are 7 other shades that I’m itching to try!

Lavera Glossy Lips in Hazel Nude

On me, it lasts an hour or so if I’m not eating or drinking, which seems pretty standard for most lip gloss.

Along with nourishing jojoba and shea butter, the lip gloss also contains sea buckthorn and mallow. I would say it does moisturise, but not as well as a traditional lip balm.

Perfect for daily use and a natural shiny lip!

Lavera Beautiful Lips Lipstick in Matt’n Peach

I featured this highly pigmented lipstick in my post natural alternatives to MAC Vegas Volt. I absolutely love this hot coral colour, and the lipstick itself is very good quality for the price.

Lavera Lipstick in Matt'n Peach

It’s not the most moisturising of lipsticks, but it stays very well and is so highly pigmented, it’s perfect if you want a dramatic look.
