Welcome back, beauty friend! And welcome to my April 2020 natural beauty empties. April was a great month for empties! I had chance to use up many more products because my husband is working from home and I have a little bit more time in the morning. Coronavirus lockdown – there are some benefits. Not only that, but I’ve been shopping my stash every week. This month I wanted to focus on using up my sample collection. The ultimate goal is to reduce the number of these little sachets coming in. Sample sachets are a terrible waste of packaging – there are better ways to get samples! So, future thinking applied. But a lot of my samples were running out of date, and I didn’t want to waste them. So I’ve been living like I’m on holiday, with lots of variety – it’s been fun! I also have lots of…

Welcome to my February 2020 natural beauty empties! I’m late posting my used up products again and while I don’t have many empties for February, they’re all natural beauty products I’ve really enjoyed using. I’ve got anti-ageing face cream, illuminating vitamin C serum, nude lip gloss, gentle baby shampoo, soothing eye cream, zesty body oil, and a comforting buttermilk soap for the whole family. Read on to learn more! February 2020 natural beauty empties D’Alchemy Age Defence Broad-Spectrum Remedy This is a wonder of a cream, softening lines while deeply hydrating and I’m very sad to have emptied it! I reviewed it and other D’Alchemy moisturisers some months ago. The cream is great for normal to dry skin and “provides intensive skin regeneration, lightens up discolouration, fills up wrinkles, and prevents loss of firmness and density” – great news for me – this year I seem to look a lot…

In this post I share my May 2019 natural beauty empties. Weleda feature in most of my empties posts – they’re one of my favourite natural beauty brands. This month my favourite empty is their wonderful Age Revitalising Concentrate – it’s such a star product! Also from Weleda is their Skin Food Light, and creamy body washes. Other empties include bubble bath from Sophie the Giraffe, natural deodorant from Elsa’s, Odylique face moisturiser, tinted lip balm from Burt’s Bees, and a handful of samples. Enjoy my empties! Natural beauty empties Weleda Evening Primrose Age Revitalising Concentrate This is a lovely lightweight serum to use under moisturiser as an anti-aging treatment. Evening primrose in the serum helps stimulate skin’s natural protective and regenerative abilities – perfect as I head towards 40! I’m quite sure Weleda Age Revitalising Concentrate makes a difference to my skin – hydrating and plumping out wrinkles. Weleda…

It seems like I’ve used many natural beauty products this month – probably true, but there are several single use products in my empties collection, like sheet masks. You’ll also find several regular use products like moisturisers and exfoliators from previous LoveLula boxes. All the packaging has been recycled, where it can be. Another month has passed, and I’m really enjoying keeping track of the natural beauty and healthcare products our family uses each month. I hope you enjoy reading my March 2018 skincare empties. Boy has this month been tough! First, my external hard drive blew up which contained all my precious photos, and I stupidly hadn’t backed up for 2 years. All Jonah’s baby photos from my DSLR would’ve been lost. Luckily, it had a tiny bit of life in it, so we were able to copy the files onto a new drive. What a relief! I’ve learned my lesson and am now taking weekly backups. Secondly, Jonah picked up a stomach bug and was properly sick for the first time. We really weren’t prepared for it. Then we caught it too, so we were all poorly and feeling very sorry for ourselves. Now we’re looking forward to a healthy April…

It’s a thing amongst beauty bloggers to share their empties each month. I’m always incredibly curious to learn what gorgeous natural skincare and beauty products other beauty bloggers have used up. So I thought I’d hop on the bandwagon by sharing my own January 2018 skincare empties! I appear to have consumed a lot of skincare in January. However, some of these products have been open since 2013 (I don’t adhere to use by dates). In January I made a conscious effort to use up old products, for several reasons. First, I’ve been sent new and lovely skincare products to test this month, and need to make room. Second, I’m now a LoveLula Accredited Blogger with an allowance each month. I have a burning desire to break out of my comfort zone to try new things! Third, I’ve been taking better care of myself and actually using the products in…

This post focuses on how to prevent and treat nappy rash. Does your little one suffer with nappy rash? So many babies and toddlers do. Whether it’s teething, colds, food intolerances or eczema. Sometimes it takes some sleuthing to get to the “bottom” of it. This post will help you figure out how to prevent and treat nappy rash with natural remedies, lifestyle changes, and natural nappy creams. Towards the end of my pregnancy, I started to give nappy cream some thought – maybe I would need nappy cream in my hospital bag, and at my baby’s changing area? I pondered if mainstream nappy creams would be full of junk ingredients, like a lot of mainstream baby products. Like a lot of parents to be, a Bounty newborn baby pack was thrust into my hands, with its free mini tube of Sudocrem Nappy Cream. Scanning over the ingredients (including sodium…
