Do you love neroli skin care products? Me too! Neroli is uplifting, romantic and calming. Perfect for post lockdown emotional support. And so many natural beauty bloggers love neroli skin care too! One of my favourite memories as a young girl was sitting under my mum’s mock orange tree in the garden, listening to the bees buzzing around the fragrant blooms. When mock orange (aka “Philadelphus Virginalis”) is about to blossom, my thoughts turn to neroli (aka Bitter Orange, “Citrus Aurantium”). My favourite way to enjoy the benefits of neroli is in skin care. My favourite place to shop them? LoveLula of course! So this post is all about neroli – what it is, neroli skin care benefits, and my roundup of blogger neroli skin care favourites. What is neroli in skincare? Neroli in beauty care is created by adding neroli essential oil or hydrosol to skin and hair care…

Welcome to my October 2019 natural beauty empties! It’s been an average month for empties this month. I’ve been busy testing all the beautiful lip balms for the Clean Beauty Awards 2019, which has been so much fun with a bit of testing routine thrown in. I’ll be posting my review of all the entrants in a separate post some time soon. There’s volumising shampoo, cream cleanser, hydrating face cream, body butter, pawpaw balm, green tea shower gel, plus 3 travel size products. It’s time for my July 2019 natural beauty empties! I do love sharing my empties. There’s something so satisfying about finishing a natural beauty product to the last drop. I love recapping it all, and I hope you might find something you like amongst the treasure trove of items. I’ve used up quite a few products this month. I had a huge sort out of my stash which was very rewarding. We also bought new bathroom storage, which prompted a resurfacing of some close-to-empty products to finish up. My favourite product this month is a special skin treatment called bakuchiol. It’s an amazing replacement for retinol that’s safer for mamas who are pregnant or breastfeeding. There’s also a luscious balm, rose water, adult and kids toothpaste, epsom salts, face mask powder, body lotion, and face cream and mineral powder samples. I hope you enjoy my empties, and if you have…

Are you pregnant and suffering with uncomfortable swollen feet, or feet that cramp painfully during the night? If so, then I really hope my DIY pregnancy foot scrub can help you as much as it’s helped me! Disclosure: this post contains references to PR gifted products. My views are honest and my own. My scrub contains beneficial ingredients known to help with swollen and cramping feet. Like other foot scrubs, it will help keep your feet lovely and soft. I’m 39 weeks pregnant now, so my feet love this gorgeous scrub. I adapted it from a post by the lovely Wellness Mama, specifically with pregnancy feet in mind. How can a pregnancy foot scrub help? First, epsom salts slough off dead skin and help with cramping by replenishing magnesium levels. Tamanu oil aids drainage and circulation. To soften rough skin, add calendula, olive, or almond oil – I prefer calendula for its ability to soften…

Since I’m a few weeks into my third trimester, I thought it would be a good time to share my third trimester essentials and a 7 month pregnancy update. The third trimester brings a whole new set of needs, doesn’t it? For me, it’s all about preparation. Things are about to get real! There’s the practical preparation, like washing my baby’s clothes and planning who will care for Jonah. But there’s also the physical and emotional preparation for labour, birth, and life with a newborn! During my third trimester with Jonah, I followed a HypnoBirthing course with my hospital. This pregnancy, I’ve used the same HypnoBirthing practise since the start of my third trimester. I have a nice daily routine of listening to affirmations, breathing practise, guided relaxation, and drinking raspberry leaf tea. Soon, I’ll be doing perineal massage and eating dates. Third trimester essentials checklist Emotionally, I’ve been up and…
