Welcome back, my dear empties lover! And welcome to my March 2022 natural beauty empties. This month’s empties post is a little bit different as it’s in collaboration with my beautiful friend Renata at Green Life in Dublin. She is a doyenne of green beauty and everything healthy, and a lovely lady too, so do check out her blog and YouTube channel. You can find Renata’s empties post for the first quarter of the year. There are so many goodies here – some new to me (Living Libations Everybody Loves The Sunshine With Zinc Beach Balm sounds great!) and some already loved (Better You Magnesium Oil)! The empties came thick and fast through the whole of March. I actually can’t believe how many natural skin and hair care products I finished off! Perhaps because I know we’re moving house soon, I’m so eager to whittle my stash down. This month…

Hello, dear friend! And welcome to my November 2020 natural beauty empties. November has been a really busy month for me on my blog. It also feels like the month that we say goodbye to autumn, as the last of the leaves fall from the trees and the days really do get noticeably shorter. We prepare ourselves for winter! My skincare is the same, and you’ll find this in my November empties. There’s a skin-saving repair lotion, beautiful smoothing bakuchiol serum, gentle shea moisturiser that works in any routine across all seasons, plus lots more. And for children there’s gentle baby hand sanitiser, vanilla body wash, and more. Have fun with my November 2020 natural beauty empties! November 2020 natural beauty empties Odylique Repair Lotion One of my all time favourite moisturisers and my hero product this month. This beautifully scented, naturally golden moisturiser is recommended by homeopathic doctors to…

Do you love neroli skin care products? Me too! Neroli is uplifting, romantic and calming. Perfect for post lockdown emotional support. And so many natural beauty bloggers love neroli skin care too! One of my favourite memories as a young girl was sitting under my mum’s mock orange tree in the garden, listening to the bees buzzing around the fragrant blooms. When mock orange (aka “Philadelphus Virginalis”) is about to blossom, my thoughts turn to neroli (aka Bitter Orange, “Citrus Aurantium”). My favourite way to enjoy the benefits of neroli is in skin care. My favourite place to shop them? LoveLula of course! So this post is all about neroli – what it is, neroli skin care benefits, and my roundup of blogger neroli skin care favourites. What is neroli in skincare? Neroli in beauty care is created by adding neroli essential oil or hydrosol to skin and hair care…

It’s been 6 months since I last reviewed the LoveLula Beauty Box, although I’ve still enjoyed receiving the odd box. I took a break to relax in the later stages of pregnancy and of course settle in with our new baby. But this month I’m back with it and so glad to share my LoveLula February 2019 Beauty Box review! February’s beauty box contains 5 full-size natural beauty products. It’s worth £60, but costs just £14.95 as a monthly subscriber. Let’s jump straight in and take a look at the natural beauty products. PHB Ethical Beauty Gentle Moisturiser PHB skincare has recently undergone a transformation, with new products in redesigned packaging and glass containers. I like PHB although I did suffer a reaction to one of their cleansers, which is rare for me. But I was delighted to discover this hypoallergenic fragrance-free moisturiser in the box. Although I don’t consider…

November, wow! This month has been all about my darling baby Cara Grace who was born this month. There are only 4 items in my empties this month, for obvious reasons. With a 2 week old baby plus a toddler to care for, my routine has been stripped right down to the very basics. Natural beauty brand Weleda appears in my empties every month without fail, and this month I used another small tube of Weleda Skin Food. I also used up eye gel, shampoo, and maternity pads. Where possible I’ve recycled my packaging. Enjoy my November 2018 natural beauty empties! Full-size natural beauty products Disclosure: this post contains references to PR gifted products and products I’ve chosen with my credits as a LoveLula Accredited Blogger. My views are honest and my own. Weleda Skin Food My review of Weleda Skin Food is so overdue – but it hardly needs…

This post is all about the ritual of oil-free night care – why you might want to try going oil-free at night, the benefits to your skin, how to do it, and my pick of wonderful oil-free night serums. By oil-free I mean serums containing no or very low amounts of oil. No base or carrier oils, just small amounts of beneficial essential oils. It’s a little unusual as a beauty blogger to avoid all the lovely oil-based night creams and serums on offer. But it’s something I’ve done for about 10 years, and I feel my skin benefits. Maybe it’s for you, too? It was Dr. Hauschka that inspired me to switch to oil-free skincare at night. Just read this quote from Annette Greco, Head of Galenic Development at Dr. Hauschka, on nighttime with Dr. Hauschka skincare. During the day, your skin can use the protection and nourishment offered by…

Not many full-size products this month, since I’ve been ploughing through samples. Expect to find items from the August LoveLula Beauty Box, along with Korean sheet masks, lavender baby wash, an effective natural deodorant, and a relaxing pillow spray. As always, I reuse and recycle the majority of my packaging. I hope you enjoy my August 2018 natural beauty empties! Full-size natural beauty products Disclosure: CHOBS sheet masks by CHOBS. REN Pillow Spray, Gallinée Hand Cream, and Kimberly Sayer Ultra Light Facial Moisturiser in LoveLula Beauty Boxes sent by LoveLula. Elsa’s Natural Deodorant Stick, and PHB Brightening Body Wash with points from my allowance as a LoveLula Accredited Blogger. Weleda Sea Buckthorn Body Lotion by Weleda. Monat samples by Bristol Hair @ Monat. My opinions are honest and my own. CHOBS sheet masks I had such fun trying out these 6 CHOBS sheet masks. They make a great skincare treat and are available in…

My consumption of skincare and beauty this month was considerably less than last month. Because we were on holiday last month, my empties are dominated by travel sizes! Here are my May 2018 skincare, beauty, and health empties – I really hope you enjoy reading about them! Full size skincare, beauty, and health products Disclosure: I was gifted JUN-i Face Oil by Skin Organics Beauty Box, and Monat samples by Bristol Hair @ Monat. I received Elsa’s Natural Deodorant, PHB Brightening Eye Gel, and Botanico Vida Omega Oil from LoveLula, but my opinions are honest and my own. Elsa’s Natural Deodorant in Ocean Oh yes, I love this deodorant. It came in the LoveLula March Beauty Box, and, for me, works even better than mainstream aluminium based deodorants. Expect a full review soon. In the meantime, I urge you to buy this deodorant and never look back! Elsa’s Deodorant in…

We got back off holiday and I found my LoveLula May 2018 Beauty Box had been delivered to a neighbour. Since boarding the plane home I was looking forward to opening it! My May box contains 5 natural skincare and beauty products, 4 of which are full size. The LoveLula May 2018 Beauty Box is worth over £46, but costs just £13.95 as a subscriber. Let’s take a look at what’s inside this month’s box. Disclosure: I received the LoveLula May 2018 Beauty Box to review by LoveLula, but my opinions are honest and my own. Alteya Organics Bulgarian Rose Water I use rose water everyday, so I was really pleased to find this beautiful rose water in my LoveLula box. This is my first time using an Alteya product – the brand creates some amazing botanical products. LoveLula stock several different types of Alteya rose water, including a gorgeous white…

I’m so excited to share this post about natural alternatives to MAC Vegas Volt Lipstick! It’s the first I’ve planned in a series where I’ll be replacing some of my less than healthy skincare and beauty with healthier alternatives. And if you’re looking for a roundup of 6 gorgeous coral hued lipsticks for spring, you’re in the right place! Let’s rewind to 2015, when we were planning our wedding. Our theme was orange floral, and my makeup matched the theme. My makeup artist chose MAC Vegas Volt Matte Lipstick for my lips. Have you used it before? It’s a shocking coral that I never would’ve picked myself, but when she tried it on me, I loved it. Reader, I confess. I fell off the natural beauty wagon when we got married. It was like I forgot why I’m so careful about what I use. There was also a craving to…
