Lavera Basis Sensitiv Conditioner review

Lavera Basis Sensitiv Conditioner

In this post, I’m reviewing Lavera Basis Sensitiv Conditioner.

I really like the Lavera range. It’s a great value natural range, and some of their products have become regulars on my natural beauty shopping list, for instance the deodorant.

Lavera Basis Sensitiv Conditioner is a light moisturising conditioner that promises not to weigh hair down. It’s suitable for all hair types, and vegans. I love that all Lavera products are Natrue certified.

The silicone-free conditioner contains no nasties like mineral oil or harsh preservatives. It contains avocado oil to soften the hair, plus other hair-loving ingredients such as beer, almond milk, oat, and wheat proteins.

It comes in a squeezable tube. Whilst the texture is thick, it’s not greasy, and doesn’t overload my fine hair. The conditioner smooths on nicely. I would definitely leave it on for two minutes or more to feel the full benefit of the ingredients.

The conditioner’s fragrance is the signature Lavera fresh scent that is used across many of their products. I liken it to a fresh herbal scent, almost like a cola drink scent.

Let’s take a look at some of the beneficial ingredients.

Lavera Basis Sensitiv Conditioner ingredients

Water (Aqua), Alcohol, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Myristyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Fragrance (Parfum), Lauryl Laurate, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Betaine, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Sodium PCA, Beer, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, PCA Glyceryl Oleate, Xanthan Gum, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Seed Extract, Avena Sativa (Oat) Straw Extract, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Extract, Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Hydrolyzed Corn Protein, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Tocopherol, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Limonene, Geraniol, Linalool, Citral.

Avocado

A well-known hair conditioning agent, avocado moisturises the scalp and hair. It contains helpful fats, amino acids, and vitamins.

It can help to prevent further damage by helping hair to retain moisture. A fabulous addition to any natural conditioner!

Almond milk

Almonds are nutritious to eat, but they also help care for your hair when applied as almond milk. Almond milk contains proteins that can help to strengthen hair. And the fatty acids in almond milk are great conditioning agents, helping to reduce dryness and frizziness.

Almonds

Almond milk contains a wide range of nutrients that may help in hair care, such as potassium, magnesium, manganese, selenium, zinc, and vitamins A, B, D, and E.

Beer

Using beer to wash hair has been reported to help with hair growth.

I’m not sure how legitimate that claim is, but beer contains silica, minerals, amino acids, and vitamin B. It can act as a conditioning agent, adding shine to the hair.
