Eco Cosmetics Moisturising Shampoo is an effective and value for money organic shampoo. It contains some wonderful plant-based ingredients to treat dry hair. I find it quite amazing that Eco Cosmetics can offer an Ecocert certified shampoo at a very reasonable price!
Eco Cosmetics claim the shampoo strengthens and protects the hair, and works well for sensitive scalps. This makes it ideal for those with scalp psoriasis like myself. I’ve had no irritation or discomfort from this shampoo. It cleans as well as a sulfate based shampoo, without any of the harshness.
Not much of this clear-gel shampoo is needed to create a really good lather, and it cleans squeaky clean. It has a zingy green tea fragrance which is very refreshing.
There’s also a conditioner that goes with it.

How do the ingredients help?
Olive leaf extract has a moisturising and smoothing effect on the hair. There have been some studies into its use to treat hair loss. Great for postpartum hair like mine!
Mallow contains a gel-like substance that attracts moisture to dry hair strands. What a perfect addition!
Wheat protein has long been used in shampoo. It thickens and adds volume plus offers a multitude of benefits to dry hair, including increasing its flexibility to prevent future breakage.
Final thoughts on Eco Cosmetics Moisturising Shampoo
This is an ideal shampoo for dry hair – my hair is incredibly soft after using it. I have found that it sometimes leaves me with greasy roots if I use too much or wash too frequently.
I really love the Eco Cosmetics brand. Their products are great value for money, effective, certified organic, and have reassuringly short ingredients lists.
