The Rose Tree Radiance Facial Essence review

Ethical beauty brands that bloggers love

I was so delighted to receive The Rose Tree Radiance Facial Essence earlier this year. Back in February, I reviewed The Rose Tree Intensive Balm. Since then, I’ve been using this gorgeous facial oil every day.

In case you didn’t catch my review, The Rose Tree is British brand founded by the amazing Olga Rumble. The Rose Tree creates luxury organic and natural skincare to nourish the skin and mind. Olga describes the brand as:

British luxury designed for modern women who want to look and feel amazing in today’s frantic-paced lifestyle.

The Rose Tree Radiance Facial Essence is super clean, full of beneficial ingredients, and comes in gorgeous recyclable glassware with an easy to use dropper.

If you think you can’t use face oil because you have combination skin, this face oil will definitely change your mind! Before using it, I was skeptical about using oil on my face as I was sure it would weigh my skin down and exacerbate my hormonal breakouts.

Olga does say that it appears unlikely that applying oil to an already oily face will help. But actually, because this oil mimics skin’s natural oils it can help oily skin, leaving it deeply moisturised and radiant.

Look and feel

The facial essence is a beautiful golden colour. It glides on to the skin and absorbs really quickly. The facial oil has the delicate aroma of roses.

Golden facial essence in the dropper

To use, after toning with a rose hydrosol, I put 4 drops into my palm, smooth my palms together, then gently press the face oil into my skin, neck, and décolletage. After a few moments, I apply my moisturiser.

Let’s have a look at some of the beneficial ingredients in the face oil.

The Rose Tree Radiance Facial Essence ingredients

Avocado Fruit Oil (Organic), Camellia Oil (Organic), Frankincense Oil (Organic), Hazel Nut Oil (Organic), Marula Oil (Unrefined & Fairly Traded), Palmarosa Oil (Organic), Raspberry Seed Oil, Rose Fruit Oil (Organic), Rosemary Leaf Extract (Organic), Sea Buckthorn C02 Extract (Organic), Vitamin E.

Marula oil

Native to South Africa and Swaziland, this oil has been used for centuries by local women as a cosmetic oil. It helps reduce redness in the skin and softens the appearance of scarring.

Palmarosa oil

A wonderful oil for acne prone or combination skin since it balances oil production, and helps with cell regeneration. It also smells of roses which is very up-lifting.

Final thoughts on The Rose Tree Radiance Facial Essence

My skin feels so well hydrated after using this oil. I shied away from face oils for a long time, but I can imagine buying this oil again since it’s so light but effective. It doesn’t cause breakouts, so if you’re looking for a facial oil for your combination skin, this is one to try.

I also really love the smell – I feel really cared for when I use it.

I can’t recommend this brand highly enough. It feels good to use a natural beauty product that comes from a female entrepreneur with real dedication to natural skincare.
