June 2018 natural beauty empties

June 2018 natural beauty empties

It seems like I’ve used many natural beauty products this month – probably true, but there are several single use products in my empties collection, like sheet masks. You’ll also find several regular use products like moisturisers and exfoliators from previous LoveLula boxes. All the packaging has been recycled, where it can be. I hope you enjoy reading my June 2018 natural beauty empties!

Disclosure: 3 Korean sheet masks by Nomad Beauty Collection. Dr Botanicals products, and JOIK Sweet Orange & Mint Body Butter in LoveLula Beauty Boxes sent by LoveLula. JOIK Sweet Temptation Candle, and Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream with points from my allowance as a LoveLula Accredited Blogger. Little Butterfly Floating On Clouds Bedtime Bath Milk by Mama Organica. Weleda Sea Buckthorn Body Oil, and Weleda Skin Food by Weleda. Weleda Stretch Mark Massage Oil, and Weleda Pomegranate Firming Eye Cream by Megan Edwards, Weleda Wellbeing Advisor. Monat samples by Bristol Hair @ Monat. My opinions are honest and my own.

Etude House 0.2mm Therapy Air Mask Calendula

This lovely Korean sheet mask with healing calendula was my favourite product last month. I reviewed it and 3 others in my post how to choose natural Korean sheet masks.

Etude House 0.2mm Therapy Air Mask Calendula

My skin was brightened and softened by this mask, and it’s only £2!

Abib Gummy Sheet Mask Heartleaf Sticker

I’d really love to try this mask again, as it’s great for breakouts. My skin has been free of breakouts recently which is great!

Abib Gummy Sheet Mask Heartleaf Sticker

It boasts some lovely ingredients such as heartleaf, chamomile, chaga mushroom, and peony.

Jayjun Collagen Skin Fit Mask

I liked this mask but I wouldn’t buy it again as it contains phenoxyethanol and artificial fragrance.

Jayjun Collagen Skin Fit Mask

Aside from that, my skin seemed improved by it!

So Natural Facial Design Deep Black Clay Mask

This is a really unique mask, and it’s a lot of fun to use. It works like a normal clay mask, but it’s in sheet form.

So Natural Facial Design Deep Black Clay Mask

However, it’s not a mask I would use again given some of its ingredients – phenoxyethanol, parfum, and methylparaben.

Dr Botanicals Coffee Superfood Renewing Exfoliator

I love this exfoliator so much, it has to be one of my favourites. If I didn’t have so many others in my stash to use, I’d buy this right away. It came in April’s LoveLula Beauty Box.

Dr Botanicals Coffee Superfood Renewing Facial Exfoliator

Not only does it polish the skin by removing dead skin cells, it also feels really nourishing. My skin is so soft after using it. Definitely try it if you can!

Dr Botanicals Kale Superfood Nourishing Day Moisturiser

A good basic daily moisturiser that came in April’s LoveLula Beauty Box.

Dr Botanicals Kale Superfood Nourishing Day Moisturiser

This day cream moisturises well and hasn’t triggered any breakouts for me. It contains kale which has high levels of antioxidants, said to protect the skin.

Little Butterfly Floating On Clouds Bedtime Bath Milk

Jonah and I bathe together at the moment, since he’s going through a phase of disliking taking baths on his own #toddlerlife. We reviewed this bath milk in my post natural products to help your toddler sleep.

Little Butterfly Floating On Clouds Bedtime Bath Milk

It certainly does help us to relax and contains some lovely soothing ingredients like cucumber seed oil and oats. It’s a little pricey though, so we won’t be buying it again.

Lavera Moisture & Care Conditioner

I love Lavera products, especially their makeup. However I have to say this isn’t my favourite conditioner, and although I have reviewed Lavera Moisture & Care Conditioner before, it’s a very old review I keep meaning to revisit.

Lavera Moisture & Care Conditioner

The conditioner is formulated for dry hair and contains almond milk and avocado, yet I need to leave it in a long time to get a good level of hydration, and it’s time I just don’t have.

JOIK Sweet Temptation Candle

I’m not a big scented candle user, and you can read why I think scented candles aren’t healthy. But I do really love them, and have a few around the house for occasional use.

JOIK Sweet Temptation Candle

This is one of the best natural scented candles I’ve tried. It has a gorgeous sexy sweet vanilla scent. If you’re looking for a healthier scented candle then JOIK is a great place to start and there are several other fragrances to choose from.

Lavera Orange Feeling Fresh Deo Spray

Not technically an empty, since I bought this in 2012 and found it lurking in my husband’s car! In fact, it’s no longer called Lavera Orange Feeling Fresh Deo Spray, and is now called Lavera Body & Wellness Revitalising Deodorant Spray.

I’m a big fan of Lavera deodorant, and I really loved this aluminium-free deodorant. With its fresh orange scent, it’s perfect for summer and very refreshing.

Westlab Epsom Salts

Epsom salts are a staple in my house, and go into almost every bath for their relaxing and soothing properties. Epsom salts have a multitude of uses so they’re always nice to have to hand.

Burt’s Bees Hand Salve

I no longer buy Burt’s Bees, as I’ve mentioned in previous empties posts. But I do have a stash of products of theirs to use up. I like this salve, but it’s nothing special to me given Burt’s Bees may be testing on animals in China.

Weleda Sea Buckthorn Body Oil

This gorgeous oil came in the Weleda Three Drawer Gift Set that was kindly sent to me by Weleda. This is such a gorgeous gift box and I’m slowly making my way through the drawers of shower gels, body lotions, and body oils. Weleda’s sea buckthorn range takes advantage of this hardy plant whose berries are full of linoleic, linolenic, and palmitoleic acids and vitamin E.

Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream

I chose this cleansing cream thinking it would make a good makeup remover. It doesn’t. It works better as a second stage cleanser after makeup has been removed. You can’t use it around your eyes because it contains almond meal which works its way into the eye. This is a lovely product, however, as it gently exfoliates and moisturises while it cleanses. It smells gorgeous, too.

Weleda Skin Food

Skin Food needs little introduction and regularly appears on my empties posts. This sample came from my Weleda goody bag that I gratefully received at their Insight Day last month.

We’d packed all my toiletries away and I just needed a fix!

JOIK Sweet Orange & Mint Body Butter

I received this sample in June’s LoveLula Beauty Box. I’m considering buying a full size version of it since it’s really lovely! Very moisturising without being too rich.

JOIK Sweet Orange & Mint Body Butter

The scent is lovely too, and the mint isn’t at all overpowering.

Monat Replenish Hair Masque

I received a Monat sample bundle last month, from which I’ve tried the shampoo and conditioner and really liked them. The masque claims to repair and hydrate hair and deliver nutrients to help minimise frizz and split ends. It sits in between shampoo and conditioner.

Monat Replenish Hair Masque

My hair was definitely improved by this masque, but I didn’t get quite as good results as I expected – for the price, I would expect to be very impressed. The masque contains a silicone, propoxytetramethyl piperdinyl dimethicone, which I don’t understand the implications of using just yet, so avoid.

Weleda Stretch Mark Massage Oil

I fell in love with this at the Weleda Insight Day and bought a full sized bottle at the new Weleda shop in Derbyshire. What an amazing shop!

With a base of sweet almond oil and wheatgerm oil, and extract of organic arnica, it also contains a beautiful blend of rose, neroli and myrrh which makes it smell absolutely gorgeous.

I’m not convinced the oil will prevent stretch marks from forming, but I fully appreciate the benefits of regular massage with a wonderful nurturing oil such as this one.

Weleda Pomegranate Firming Eye Cream

This was a free sample from the lovely Megan Edwards, Weleda Wellbeing Advisor. She has sent me many samples in the months we’ve known each other and I’m really grateful for her expertise!

This is a lovely eye cream that seems extra moisturising – however I’m not sure an eye cream can offer me anything over my normal moisturiser, so I don’t think I’d buy full size.
