Botanicals skincare – sumptuous basics

Botanicals skincare

This is my first post after the birth of my darling Cara Grace. In it, I’d love to share with you some sumptuous basics I’ve been using from the fabulous Botanicals skincare range.

Disclosure: review of PR gifted samples. My views are honest and my own.

I was over the moon to be asked to try some products from the Botanicals range, and selected some lovely skincare basics to suit my skin type. This was my first time using Botanicals skincare – I’d noticed the brand popping up on LoveLula with other bloggers singing the brand’s praises.

The brand aims:

to provide a range of personal care products which are as close to nature as possible. Those that harness the pure power of plants.

What I really love about Botanicals products is that all the products are handmade in Britain, are Soil Association certified organic, and suitable for vegans.

The brand was founded by Wendy Stirling in 2004 after her daughter reacted to a “herbal” shampoo. In researching the founding of her brand, she discovered that cost and shelf life dictate mainstream product ingredients – rather than consumer and environmental health and wellbeing.

It sounds like Botanicals is really making a difference, so let’s see how I got on with the products!

Sumptuous basics with Botanicals skincare

Botanicals Nourish Cream Cleanser

I love a good cream cleanser to remove my makeup or SPF. This organic cream cleanser is suitable for normal, dry, or mature skin, so is perfect for my skin. It boasts some really lovely ingredients – skin-nourishing rose, antioxidant white tea, hydrating palmarosa, and revitalising rose geranium.

Botanicals Nourish Cream Cleanser

The cleanser removes makeup perfectly, and leaves my skin feeling so soft and supple. It has a beautiful fragrance of rose and rose geranium. This cleanser is now a firm favourite of mine!

Botanicals Gentle Moisturiser

Since having Cara, my routine has to be very simple. With this in mind, I chose this moisturiser which nicely hydrates my skin without needing to use a facial oil as well. Suitable for normal, combination, and sensitive skin types, it has a very delicate fragrance and absorbs really quickly, which is perfect for me right now.

Botanicals Gentle Moisturiser

The moisturiser promotes the natural balance of the skin. Skin is treated with nourishing jojoba and avocado oils along with marigold, and a cheerful and balanced essential oil blend of mandarin, lavender and chamomile.
