Becoming an official Weleda Cleaner Beauty Ambassador was a really proud moment for me, since I’ve long sung the brand’s praises. As part of my role, I was delighted to be offered the chance to try Weleda Evening Primrose Age Revitalising Concentrate.

Disclosure: PR gifted product. My views are honest and my own.

The serum has been on my radar for some time. I love oil-free serums, especially in my nighttime skincare routine. It’s part of the Weleda Evening Primrose range for mature skin, based on Weleda’s ‘Lead Plant Philosophy’- a range of super-nutritional regimes to support skin at different life stages.

Weleda describe the serum as a highly-effective skin-firming treatment to revitalise mature skin. Weleda note that as we age, our skin loses its elasticity and bounce. The serum aims to counteract this by energising cell renewal, strengthening the skin, and boosting its radiance.

Dropper for Weleda Evening Primrose Age Revitalising Concentrate

This fragrant serum is perfect for all skin types. My skin is normal to combination type, and the serum doesn’t overload it. I use a pearl-sized drop after cleansing and toning, and before moisturising. I use it both day and night. It’s not sticky and sinks in quickly.

Let’s have a look at the ingredients.

Weleda Age Revitalising Concentrate ingredients

Water (Aqua), Alcohol, Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil Unsaponifiables, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Distillate, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Plukenetia Volubilis Seed Oil, Centella Asiatica Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Althaea Officinalis Root Extract, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Extract, Xanthan Gum, Arginine, Fragrance (Parfum), Limonene, Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Geraniol, Citral, Farnesol.

How do the ingredients help?

Evening primrose oil is the star ingredient of the serum. It has anti-ageing capabilities thanks to its high level of antioxidants. EPO also smoothes the skin, reduces fine lines, and treats dark circles around the eyes.

Sacha inchi is rich in omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9. Omega oils are useful to smooth and calm the skin, relieve dry skin, strengthen skin’s resistance to the environment, and provide youth-boosting antioxidants.

Gotu kola herb boosts moisture, speeds wound healing, and is rich in antioxidants.

Final thoughts on Weleda Age Revitalising Concentrate

After a month of use, I feel like my skin is more radiant. Yes, even with a month old baby and a toddler to care for!

The serum has softened the fine lines on my forehead, which I’m really happy about. It’s perfect for my skin type and mature skin needs, and is so welcome in my daily natural skincare routine.

Along with the skincare benefits it brings, using Weleda Age Revitalising Serum is a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

I’m so excited to see how the serum helps my skin with continued use.

I love primrose. This looks like such a wonderful product. The older I get the more I need great skin care product. I try to encourage others to take care of their skin and stay out of the sun!
