In this post, I’d love to talk to you about Earth Mother Soul Sister Hand Cream. I ordered this hand cream from LoveLula last January – used it less often over summer, then came back to it this winter. I’ve had a good year to test it thoroughly.

So let’s look at the hand cream. First, it’s Soil Association certified organic so you can rest easy it’s only full of good ingredients. Earth Mother Soul Sister claim that the hand cream hydrates and nourishes, which I’ve found to be accurate. It contains some absolutely gorgeous ingredients, true to the aim of the brand. We’ll look at those in a moment.

The cream comes in a small plastic pump bottle. One or two pumps is enough for a full application. It is delicately scented with a light citrus fragrance. The consistency is thin but feels creamy when smoothing in.

The cream sinks in quite quickly with a little massage. I can feel the natural oils working their magic on the surface of my skin until they sink in. As I mentioned in the introduction, I love that this cream is rich enough for winter, but light enough for summer. If you work on a computer then you’ll appreciate the lack of greasy after feel.

As for the results, my hands look less wrinkly and chapping soothed. The effects of the hand cream last a few hours in winter. In summer, I would probably only apply it once after washing up or other water exposure.

How do the ingredients help?

A base of hemp seed oil and shea butter protect the skin from drying out. Almond oil softens and smoothes and helps nails, too.

Calendula and sea buckthorn repair and regenerate the skin, while aloe vera nurtures and hydrates chapped skin.

Finally, organic essential oils of bergamot, lavender, and lime add a beautiful fragrance.
