I’m always eager to try out any new baby care range, so I was really excited when I found out Odylique had launched new organic baby care products under the name Odylique Baby.

Advert: this post contains references to products I’ve chosen with my credits as a LoveLula Accredited Blogger. My views are honest and my own.

Odylique are amongst my favourite brands for those with very sensitive skin because they use only the cleanest of ingredients. So hearing about Odylique Baby made complete sense! The brand describes itself as genuine, nurturing, and unique – which is an accurate description. It feels like I don’t need to check the ingredients list since I trust the brand so much! But I do though, just because it’s interesting.

I love that the products are handmade in small batches on a family farm in Suffolk. Ingredients are sourced locally and sustainably with no air-freight since everything comes from the UK or Europe. Odylique never tests on animals and even won an RSPCA award for their commitment to animal welfare.

All the products in the Odylique Baby range are Soil Association certified. The range uses organic cold-pressed plant oils such as extra virgin olive oil and shea butter, which have been used for a reassuringly long time in baby skin care.

These products are for everyday care of your baby’s skin, plus are excellent for treating dry skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

Let’s take a look at this gorgeous organic baby care range.

Odylique Baby Gentle Wash & Shampoo

This is a gentle soothing vegan baby wash and shampoo suitable from 3 months old. It contains organic aloe vera, chamomile, and extra virgin olive oil which together respect the natural oil and acid balance of your baby’s precious skin.

Odylique Baby Gentle Wash & Shampoo

We use it as a body wash, shampoo, and we add a few pumps to the bath for a relaxing soak for both our baby and our toddler.

It has a refreshing citrus and slightly herbal fragrance. The consistency is quite thin, and sometimes the product shoots out a little too quickly. It lathers really well given it’s free from sulphates and other harsh detergents. I find one pump is enough for my baby’s hair and all over her body. My toddler takes a full pump on his mop of hair and a couple for his body. The wash leaves them both fresh and clean. I do find the shampoo leaves a bit of residue on my baby’s hair – maybe I’m using too much!

What I love about this bottle is that it’s made from recycled plastic milk bottles and itself is fully recyclable.

I’d definitely buy this shampoo and body wash for my bairns again as I love how gentle it is and that the ingredients are so clean.

Odylique Baby Repair Lotion

I bought this primarily for myself as I’ve been suffering with terrible psoriasis. A few of the ingredients really caught my eye. Odylique describe the lotion as “a powerpack of natural skin healers traditionally used to alleviate distressed, itchy, irritated or allergy-prone skin”.

Odylique Baby Repair Lotion

Suitable from 3 months old, you can use it as a rich everyday baby lotion, but it’s also a treatment for dry skin conditions – I’m using it on a persistent patch of dry skin on my baby.

It contains moisturising cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, a therapeutic amount of aloe vera to heal, and bio-active chamomile – a known anti-inflammatory. I was really interested to learn it contains chickweed, which helps to relieve itching.

With a soothing chamomile fragrance, the lotion is thick, rich, and incredibly soothing. It feels like it really gets to the root of the problem with my very dry skin. It’s a bit like Weleda Skin Food, but less oily and more calming. And it sinks in really quickly! This lotion really does deliver. My skin is calmed for several hours and my psoriasis patches are less scaly.

After applying it, I finish with a thin layer of the balm to lock in moisture.

Odylique Baby Organic Soothing Salve

A good baby salve or balm is an essential in your baby’s skincare collection. This one is a multi-use product suitable from birth up. It’s perfect to keep at the nappy change area, but it’s not going to fit into your nappy bag! Its primary use is to protect skin from dampness and chafing. You can use it on the nappy area, on dry skin patches, and on cradle cap.

Odylique Baby Organic Soothing Salve

The pure and rich balm contains just shea butter, coconut oil, high oleic sunflower oil, castor oil, and bio-active chamomile to calm and relieve soreness.

Odylique recommend using it after the lotion to seal in moisture and protect skin from dampness.

The salve is fragrance free but smells like shea butter. Its texture is almost waxy, but it melts beautifully. It sinks in really well if used straight after the lotion or while skin is damp.

It certainly provides another level of protection, keeping skin moisturised that little bit longer. There are so many uses for your whole family for this gorgeous balm. Because it’s water free it’s very pure and rich, and the tub is huge so it’s great value for money.

Final thoughts on Odylique Baby

I’m so pleased that Odylique has created a baby skincare range, and it’s everything you’d expect from the brand. Organic, gentle, and with carefully selected ingredients to take wonderful care of your baby’s skin – especially if it’s sensitive or eczema-prone. The range is great for adults with allergies or dry skin conditions, too – I feel it’s greatly improved my psoriasis.
