Just like a Mean Green Superfood Smoothie full of fruits and veg can give a burst of essential nutrients to the body, these beauty drops will give a similar boost to the skin and hair making them instantly nourished, revived and refreshed.

Before we take a deep-dive into this product, and since this is my first time trying Beauty Cleanse Skincare, let’s take a quick look at this quirky London-based brand.

Beauty Cleanse Skincare aims to simplify complicated beauty routines without compromising on results.

Part of the brand ethos is to use clean beauty products and live a healthy, ethical life through plant-based options. Although I’m not vegan myself, it’s certainly a mindset I support as I was vegetarian/vegan for 10 years. I agree with Beauty Cleanse Skincare when they say that plants can bring huge benefits to our skin.

So let’s go ahead and take a closer look at this super green beauty!

Mean Green Superfood Drops

Mean Green Superfood Drops aim to bring us skin that is radiant and bursting with health. They actually help to strengthen skin’s natural barrier, combating breakouts and dryness.

A unique combination of vitamins and omega oils including 3, 5, 6, 7, and 9 work to replenish and soothe, promoting radiant-looking skin. The superfood drops are high in linoleic acid, which helps to maintain skin’s moisture, leaving it hydrated and supple.

They’re 100 percent natural, 74 percent organic, vegan and cruelty-free. Suitable for all skin-types and non-comedogenic.

Read on to learn the ingredients plus my experience using Mean Green Superfood Drops.

The ingredients

Broccoli Seed Oil, Rosehip Oil, Squalane, Jojoba Oil, Coco-Caprylate, Red Raspberry Seed Oil, Tamanu Oil, Pomegranate Seed Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil, Chia Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Sunflower Seed Oil, Organic Spearmint Oil, Organic Lemongrass Oil.

How do the ingredients help?

I was pleased to learn that all the oils in Mean Green Superfood Drops are cold pressed.

Broccoli seed oil has been suggested as a natural alternative to retinol. This is because it contains a form of vitamin A which speeds up cell renewal, without the side effects that retinol can sometimes cause. Broccoli seed oil also contains linoleic acid, which promotes ceramide production. Ceramide primer: ceramides are lipids (fats) that help form the skin’s barrier and by boosting ceramide production you help boost this layer, retaining moisture and plumping up the skin.

Rosehip oil is another health-boosting, anti-ageing powerhouse. Rich in linoleic and linolenic acids, alongside vitamin A, the oil helps with signs of photo-ageing.

Red raspberry seed oil is anti-ageing and anti-inflammatory.

Tamanu oil promotes the growth of new tissue, speeding the healing process and reducing scarring from spots.

Squalane helps to keep skin moisturised by sealing its outer layer without added heaviness.

I have normal skin showing signs of ageing, with the occasional hormonal breakout. I’ve been using the product for about a month now. Let’s see how I got on!

My experience with Beauty Cleanse Skincare Mean Green Superfood Drops

I use Beauty Cleanse Skincare Mean Green Superfood Drops as the last step in my daily AM and PM routine. The oil comes in a UV protective white glass bottle with dropper. The dropper delivers a few drops into my hand.

This is a mid-weight oil, not too thick but not thin. The colour is absolutely glorious.

These drops have a very interesting and unique fragrance. I can definitely detect the tamanu oil, which has a spicy, vegetable fragrance. There is also refreshing mint in the fragrance blend. It actually reminds me of one of my favourite perfumes, which is lovely!

The feel is silky and non-sticky, light and almost weightless. I was surprised how quickly the drops sink in, leaving a non-shiny finish after a few moments.

My nails and hair benefit too. I use the drops as an overnight treatment for my hair once or twice a week, leading to super-soft hair the next day. I also like to smooth a few drops through to finish my dry hair after washing to tame my fly-aways and keep the super-soft feeling alive.

Finally, I massage the drops into my cuticles right before bed. I’m hoping this daily practise will stop my feeble nails from splitting, but it’s too soon to see any benefits yet. I blame breastfeeding for 3 years. Ha!

One immediate benefit of this oil is the glow it brings to my skin, appearing to soften and blur my fine lines and wrinkles. My skin has certainly felt very well nourished during the time I’ve used the drops.

The packaging doesn’t hurt the environment, but actively supports it!

These drops are so healthy and versatile, making them a great addition to your collection of beauty oils.

Final thoughts on this green beauty

Using Mean Green Superfood Drops is an investment in the health of my skin. I get a daily glow, plus I feel like I’ve given my skin the vitamins and fatty acids it needs to stay healthy and youthful.

And I absolutely love that this oil is a natural alternative to synthetic actives like retinol and can really help the anti-ageing cause. Time will tell how this oil will help keep my skin looking young. I’ll be sure to update you in my empties post when I reach the end of the bottle.
