Welcome back, my beauties! I hope this post finds you well. Today I’m sharing my blogger pick for May, the wonderful Inika Phytofuse Renew Resveratrol Serum.

It’s fair to say I collect skincare like philatelists collect stamps. So when I learned that Australian brand Inika had recently added the Phytofuse Renew skincare line to its already very highly esteemed line of makeup, I jumped at the chance to try it.

Wait, Inika now do skincare?

They certainly do! And it’s the first 100% natural, vegan and organic botanical skincare range enriched with Phytofuse Renew. This appears to be a proprietary extract developed by Inika based on rose of jericho, a “rehydrating desert resurrection plant”. Rose of Jericho is clinically known for its anti-pollution, protective, and healing properties.

5% proven active ingredients. 2X the potency found in mainstream skincare ranges.

There are several products in the Inika Phytofuse Renew skincare line, including some really gorgeous sounding products I can’t wait to try – Caviar Lime Exfoliator, Camellia Oil Cleanser, Micellar Rosewater, Resveratrol Rich Night Cream, and Botanical Face Oil.

Some of Inika’s new skincare products contain resveratrol, including the serum I tried. So let’s learn more about the ingredient resveratrol!

What’s resveratrol?

Resveratrol is a natural antioxidant from the skin of grapes, peanuts, all berries, and even dark chocolate. Like other antioxidants, it protect the cells against damage that leads to cellular ageing (source).

Inika describe the serum as a “miracle in a bottle”, targeting regeneration of the skin and assisting in reducing fine lines. The concentrated serum contains 14 botanical oils to intensively nourish and protect.

Included is rose of jericho, which Inika promises will improve skin density and increase its moisture levels while forming a barrier against water loss. What’s really clever about it, is that it shields the skin to reduce the carbon residue that accelerates ageing. And of course the main ingredient resveratrol, which helps to neutralise free radicals to maintain skin structure and boost collagen production.

The benefits sound so exciting for me at 40 years old!

I love that the serum comes in a gorgeous glass jar with a recyclable lid. The pump bottle protects the precious contents. This serum is really quite thick, and smells absolutely beautiful – floral and woody. The fragrance is 100% natural fragrance from certified organic essential oils.

Texture of Inika Phytofuse Renew Resveratrol Serum

I use the serum after toning and before moisturising – Inika claims it boosts skincare results and revitalises the skin. It sinks in like a dream and leaves no greasy after-feel.

My results? I’ve used Inika Phytofuse Renew Resveratrol Serum for about a week now. It takes several weeks of use to see true results. But I felt like my skin really changed for the better after using this serum for 3 days. It took on that soft translucency that softens fine lines and adds polish to the skin. Of course, all that extra hydration adds a cheeky little glow. I’m really happy!

The serum future-proofs my skin with its beautiful ingredients. I can’t wait to see long term results, and I’ll be sure to update you in my empties post! Subscribe to stay in touch.
