Welcome back, beauty lover! And welcome to my June 2020 natural beauty empties. What a month June was for content on my blog. I used up quite a few skincare products, too.

June was about oils – 2 well-loved facial oils, plus a lash oil. I used up 2 day moisturisers, an Ayurvedic body wash, herbal conditioner, healing balm, and even a soothing aromatherapy candle!

Plenty for the littles too, including a gentle dragon fruit children’s conditioner, soothing coconut scalp cream, and creamy calendula body wash.

Are you ready to learn more about them? Let’s go!

Beauty Cleanse Skincare Mean Green Superfood Drops

Mean Green Superfood Drops by Beauty Cleanse Skincare is my star empty this month. It’s a potent serum-in-oil that restores tired, dull skin to its velvety best.

What I love about this oil is its versatility – I use it for face, hair, nails, cuticles, softening my hands, and as a makeup primer. It’s the one product I don’t want to be without.

My skin always glows after using Mean Green Superfood Drops – I’m so glad I have a second bottle! I’ve seen a noticeable improvement of the eczema on my hands when regularly using the green drops. This could be because the drops deliver such a powerhouse of beneficial ingredients. There’s natural vitamin C, amino acids, and omega 3, 5, 6, 7, and 9 together plus natural UV shields and anti-inflammatory agents.

Mean Green Superfood Drops oil texture and colour

I love buying from female formulators who really care. Beauty Cleanse Skincare was founded by lovely Saman, who truly cares about improving our health and wellness. Her ethos is holistic – choose plant-based inside and out, care for people, planet, and animals.

We believe you only need fewer clean products that are kind to skin & support its natural barrier function without cluttering up the bathroom or the landfills

Beauty Cleanse Skincare

And if you’re interested in the backstory, I first reviewed Beauty Cleanse Skincare‘s Mean Green Superfood Drops last year, and I’ve been a huge fan since then.

The rebranded Mean Green Superfood Drops

They’ve recently rebranded and become Beauty Cleanse Skincare, but the formula for Mean Green Superfood Drops remains the same. To add to the excitement, the brand added the new anti-fatigue Carrot Algae Marine Drops to their line too.

Definitely check out their website or Instagram to support them!

HYP Candle in Calm

This candle, aimed at pregnant mums, brought me a great deal of calm while I was expecting Cara – I wrote about it in my third trimester essentials.

HYP Candle in Calm

As candles go it smells beautiful – it has a very bright, natural and subtle fragrance; it isn’t overpowering. It did burn quite heavily down the wick, and so I feel like a lot of wax has gone to waste. I’ll probably salvage the wax from this candle for future projects.

Urban Veda Soothing Day Cream

My mum used this one up. She found it nicely moisturising and enjoyed the spicy sandalwood fragrance.

Urban Veda Soothing Day Cream

Urban Veda is an interesting brand who create skincare to suit your Ayurvedic dosha.

Good Bubble Conditioner with Dragon Fruit

This was Cara’s conditioner. She’s currently using the detangle spray from the same range.

Good Bubble Conditioner with Dragon Fruit

It’s a very gentle conditioner that doesn’t weigh down baby-fine hair. But it’s good for the whole family’s everyday conditioning.

Kokoso Happy Scalp Cream

It can be hard to know how best to deal cradle cap. It doesn’t harm your child’s skin, but it can be unsightly. This gorgeous cream from coconut experts Kokoso to the rescue!

Kokoso Happy Scalp Cream

With organic coconut oil and purifying celery seed extract, it softens and reduces the appearance of cradle cap. My daughter got a lot of use out of this one, and luckily her cradle cap is improving as she gets older.

Urban Veda Soothing Body Wash

This is a lovely comforting body wash that contains sandalwood and other botanicals aimed at soothing sensitive skin.

Urban Veda Soothing Body Wash

I really enjoyed this shower gel, and I’m still working through several Urban Veda skincare essentials.

Sukin Nourishing Conditioner

This nourishing conditioner came in the March 2018 LoveLula box. It’s a really nice, lightweight herbal conditioner – it detangles and conditions well.

Sukin Nourishing Conditioner

This particular conditioner is no longer available on LoveLula, but more conditioners are available from Sukin.

Mádara Deep Moisture Gel

Normally I love most things from Mádara, but this I have mixed feelings about! It’s definitely not for my skin type, as it’s aimed at oily skin. It came in the March 2019 beauty box.

Mádara Deep Moisture Gel

It is actually a lovely light gel that does a great job of hydrating skin and keeping it hydrated through the day. But I don’t like the alcohol content that seems to make my eyes water after application! Sorry, Mádara!

Bowe Organics Lash Oil

This lash oil treatment came in the August 2018 LoveLula beauty box. It’s another product I’m on the fence about. I ended up using it as a hair treatment for my dry ends.

Bowe Organics Lash Oil

My lashes were soft after using it, but I really don’t like the feeling of oil in my lashes. The ingredients are lovely for all kinds of hair treatment, though – including rosehip, jojoba, and castor oils.

Weleda Nipple Balm

Weleda Nipple Balm is at the bottom of my list not because I like it the least, but because I reviewed it so many times in my empties before!

Weleda Nipple Balm

I’ll repeat myself – I love this balm! It’s perfect for breastfeeding mamas, but it also makes a brilliant multipurpose balm. Dab on to grazes or bites, or treat any kind of dry or cracked skin. It’s a real little gem!

Weleda Calendula Shampoo & Body Wash

Another long time favourite, Weleda Calendula Shampoo & Body Wash is a definite winner with my children.

Weleda Calendula Shampoo & Body Wash

It’s gentle, fragrant, cleans well, and it’s great value for money!

Natural beauty samples

Not many samples this month, I am doing well with my promise to minimise these sachets!

Natural beauty samples

This month I have Kokoso Baby Coconut Oil (love this one), and Rahua Colour Shampoo and Conditioner (still on the fence about this – it smells and feels gorgeous but didn’t see or feel much improvement).

Final thoughts on June 2020 natural beauty empties

So that’s it for June empties. I really hope you enjoyed them, and maybe even found something you might try! If you have any questions about the products featured, please do let me know. I’d love to hear from you!

Coming up in July, I have some wonderful goodies from Typology to share – honestly, this brand is blowing me away – it’s so different. I’ve also been trying a “be sexy” herbal tincture from Blooming Blends. Girl, do I need it.

Also! Big news! I’m reviewing the LoveLula Beauty Box again, so look out for my reviews of the June and July boxes, as well as my LoveLula July picks for plastic free beauty and wellbeing.

Finally, I’ll be talking about Plastic Free July and sharing the swaps I’ll be making to reduce my plastic waste.

Remember to subscribe to stay in touch with all the newness!

What skincare did you love in June?

Until next time!

Helen

I would love to try the Urban Veda too. Face cream is so important both night and day. You’ve got a mighty good line-up of skin care here.
