Hello beauty! And welcome to my May 2021 natural beauty empties!

Advert: this post contains references to PR gifted products. My views are honest and my own. May contain affiliate links.

In my empties posts I share all the beauty products I used up in a month. And this month I have a fantastic collection of well rounded empties for you.

In May, I used up a gorgeous Nordic balm cleanser with arctic bilberry, a silky foot balm with mint and pine, a gentle and hydrating CBD face cream – and much more. There’s also a makeup item, hair care products, and an item from my children.

Would you like to learn more about them? Let’s do it!

May 2021 natural beauty empties

Flow Balm to Milk Facial Cleanser

Flow Balm to Milk Cleanser is a gorgeous dual textured cleansing balm that’s yellow, thick, oily and satisfying. It starts as a thick gel to massage in to the face, shifting makeup and daily grime.

Flow Balm to Milk Facial Cleanser

On contact with water, the cleanser cleverly transforms into an easy to wash away milk. The uplifting fragrance of lemon brought so much cheer to my evening cleanse!

The cleanser was a wonderful gift from Koti Lifestyle, a fantastic online store featuring only Nordic skincare.

Butterwhips Planted Feet Balm

My favourite foot balm, and you can read my full review of Butterwhips Planted Feet Balm. The foot balm has such a gorgeous texture and is delicately fragranced with mint and pine to help deodorise feet and keep them fresh.

Butterwhips Planted Feet Balm

It also contains arrowroot to help absorb excess moisture from the feet, keeping them comfortable all day. Luckily for me, I have another in my stash!

Dragonfly CBD Daily Hydrating Face Cream

A hydrating, comforting and pillowy face cream containing 300mg of antioxidant CBD. My skin really loves this calming and soothing cream.

Dragonfly CBD Daily Hydrating Face Cream

Dragonfly CBD Face Cream helps to protect the skin from the damaging effects of everyday harm, so not only is it a great daily moisturiser, it helps to future proof the skin.

Faerie Minerals Maximum Coverage Foundation

This was the last of my stash of this gorgeous loose mineral powder, and sadly the last that I will buy as it’s no longer available online from a UK supplier.

Faerie Minerals Maximum Coverage Foundation

I love everything about this powder. However, I’m now using MoMineral powder which is absolutely wonderful and based in the UK.

Martina Gebhardt Ginseng Face Lotion

Martina Gebhardt makes the most beautiful and soulful skincare, perfect for a spa-day at home.

Martina Gebhardt Ginseng Face Lotion

This gentle and fragrant moisturiser is said to support regeneration of the skin and was an absolute pleasure to use. I can’t wait to explore from Martina Gebhardt!

Weleda Calendula Shampoo & Body Wash

I’ve lost count of how many bottles of Weleda Calendula Shampoo & Body Wash we’ve used over the years! It’s such a great all around cleanser for small children.

Weleda Calendula Shampoo & Body Wash

Now my little girl needs something a bit stronger to cut through the daily toddler grime in her hair. We’re currently using Artio Kids Wash which is working very well indeed.

EQ Keep Glowing Hair Serum

This was a LoveLula blogger pick, and although I didn’t get chance to write a full blog post on it, the repairing and protecting hair serum served me very well.

EQ Keep Glowing Hair Serum

It’s designed to protect against environmental influences – the sun, heated appliances, etc. And it does all this while adding a nice layer of hydration and taming frizziness.

Definitely a brand to explore some more! Although it’s sadly no longer available on LoveLula, for some reason.

Lavera Basis Sensitiv Cleansing Gel

Lavera is a brand I turn to often for basics, and the Lavera Basis Sensitiv Cleansing Gel is a great value for money gel cleanser for normal to combination skin.

Lavera Basis Sensitiv Cleansing Gel

It cleanses well, and is very gentle. The cleanser doesn’t dry my skin out, and also doesn’t aggravate any hormonal acne. The tube lasts a long time, too! A definite win!

Okanagan Lavender & Herb Farm Nomad Lip Balm

This little pretty came in my package of lip balms for judging in the CertClean Clean Beauty Awards.

Okanagan Lavender & Herb Farm Nomad Lip Balm

What I love about it is the minimal and eco-friendly packaging. The tube is made from cardboard and compostable minus the label. It also has really nice ingredients like rose hip oil, herbs, and avocado, and although a little hard in winter, Cara and I both enjoyed using it.

Laidbare Butter Me Up Body Butter

It was nice to find this little body butter in the LoveLula July 2020 beauty box. It’s light and refreshing, yet nourishing enough to work for dryer skin types.

Laidbare Butter Me Up Body Butter

Given what good value for money it is, there are some quite lovely ingredients inside. Think cocoa butter, avocado and rose hip oils, and Laidbare’s signature fragrance jasmine, bergamot, patchouli, and vetiver.

Mia & Dom Stretch Mark Oil

It’s such a shame that Mia & Dom are no longer operating. This stretch mark oil was so lovely, leaving my skin supple and well moisturised.

Mia & Dom Stretch Mark Oil

Luckily, you can still pick up a bottle from Browns Pharmacy.

Urban Veda Soothing Body Scrub

This exfoliating body scrub does a good job of exfoliating the skin on my body, and it certainly contains some lovely ingredients all brought together under the promise of an Ayurvedic experience.

Urban Veda Soothing Body Scrub

However it contains a couple of ingredients such as methylisothiazolinone which raise a red flag for me.

It really surprised me that a brand who considers itself natural would include this ingredient, so I definitely wouldn’t repurchase this one!

Pai Perfect Balance Blemish Serum

This lovely little serum came in the Naturisimo Vegan Discovery Box. It’s very helpful for sensitive skin with blemishes and during breakouts I tended to use it over problem areas.

Pai Perfect Balance Blemish Serum

It certainly helped to keep my blemishes under control and minimised oil production, helping my skin to remain blemish free.

I love hearing about people’s empties! I am so into facial care lately. What do you recommend for the wrinkles??? Trying to moisturize and do some masks. I also bought a slew of new products for color treated hair!

    • Me too! I am a little obsessed! The most important skincare advice is to wear sunscreen as a preventative. To help with wrinkles, have you tried retinol products before? Definitely worth looking into. Also consider a natural and more gentler alternative called Bakuchiol. These come as oils, serums, moisturisers, etc. Also regular exfoliation is key! Either with a chemical exfoliant such as AHA (glycolic, lactic acids) or BHA (salicylic acid). Let me know if I can help you further!
