Welcome back, my beauty friend! Today I’m sharing my thoughts on a wonderful foundation that’s been on my wishlist for a while – it’s the gorgeous RMS Beauty “Un” Cover-Up Cream Foundation!

RMS makes some seriously desirable makeup. I’m a big fan of their “Un” Cover-Up Concealer, so when I heard about their cream foundation a few months ago, I added it to my wishlist right away. Honestly, I’d been shamelessly using that concealer all over my face then setting it with rice powder. I can’t get enough of the coverage and feel.

And the cream foundation is even better. It’s easy to apply, gives great coverage and leaves a glowing finish that’s like my own complexion but better. And this is coming from someone who hadn’t used cream foundation in what must be 10 years.

I’m not ready to give up my beloved loose mineral foundation just yet, but I love this wonderful addition to my growing makeup collection.

Who is RMS Beauty? The brand was founded by makeup artist to the stars Rose-Marie Swift. She developed her makeup line to focus on living-ingredient-based products that offer true artist-quality performance and is described as a pioneer of the clean beauty movement.

In this review we can learn about the product, plus I’ll share my reel trying on the product. Let’s learn some more about RMS “Un’ Cover-Up Cream Foundation!

RMS Beauty “Un” Cover-Up Cream Foundation

RMS Beauty “Un” Cover-Up Cream Foundation is described as “a rich nourishing cream foundation that provides natural buildable coverage with a flawless, lightweight, luminous finish.” It is recommended for all skin types, but I think it would work best for normal and drier skin types.

Texture of RMS Beauty Cream Foundation

In fact, when you consider its ingredients “Un” Cover-Up is makeup with skincare benefits. The cruelty free foundation is formulated with jojoba and buriti oils, along with RMS’ proprietary blend of adaptogenic herbs including ashwaghanda and turmeric. The formula promises improved skin tone, texture, hydration and overall radiance.

Ingredients

Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Cera Alba (Beeswax)(Cire d’abeille), Oleic/Linoleic/Linolenic Polyglycerides, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Lauroyl Lysine, Silica, Propanediol, Pentylene Glycol, Tocopherol (non-GMO), Mauritia Flexuosa (Buriti) Fruit Oil, Herbs Infused in Golden Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil: Hypericum Perforatum (St. John’s Wort), Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail), Calendula Officinalis (Marigold), Hemidesmus Indicus (Country Sarsaparilla), Curcuma Longa (Turmeric), Withania Somnifara (Ashwagandha), Glycyrrhiza Glabia (Licorice), Olea Europaea (Olive Leaf). May Contain [+/-]: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499).

The shades, 16 of them in fact, run from lightest alabaster to deep espresso chocolate. My shade, 00, seems like a great match for my pale, cool skin tone.

Using the included metal spatula, it’s easy to take some from the weighty glass jar. Applying the foundation, I notice its mild oily aroma. It’s fun to apply and easy to blend. I prefer to use my fingers but I really should look into getting a foundation brush.

The foundation definitely feels more “there” than the mineral powders I’m used to, but the coverage is great and my skin feels really nourished. I notice a little settling in my fine lines (I’m 42), but the foundation lasts well throughout the day without becoming patchy.

On the downside, I do notice some transfer if I don’t set my base. I use rice powder. You can also use RMS Beauty “Un” Powder.

I would like to see a sustainable sampling service given the price.

All-in-all, a sumptuous luxury foundation in sustainable packaging that gives an even, luminous base while nourishing the skin with precious herbs and oils. It’s a beauty!
