Festive lactation cookies
These festive lactation cookies have all the goodness of regular lactation cookies, but with a delicious festive twist. As with regular lactation cookies, they contain brewer’s yeast, linseed, and oats, which help support healthy milk production.

Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and the sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the egg and beat in well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the linseed with the water. Let it sit for 3 minutes before adding to the mix.
  4. Add the orange zest to the mix.
  5. Add the brewer’s yeast and salt.
  6. Sieve the flour and spice into the mix. By now, your house should be smelling like Christmas!
  7. Add the oats, cranberries, and raisins, and mix well.
  8. Shape spoonfuls of the cookie mix into balls and place on a lined and greased baking sheet.
  9. Flatten the balls a little to form a cookie shape.
  10. Bake the festive lactation cookies at 180°C/356°F/Gas Mark 4. And obviously try one!
