Welcome back, skincare lovers!
In this post, I am delighted to introduce the wonderful System Nature, skincare to transform your skin.
System Nature really captured my attention as a unique natural skincare brand. Not only are they advocates of natural values and sustainability, but they bring real performance to our daily skin care rituals.
I thought my skincare routine couldn’t get any better, but listen—this system is actually improving my skin after just 7 days. I am glowing!
100% natural formulation with Bakuchiol and Mandarin Extracts helps visibly improve fine lines and wrinkles, without retinol-like side effects.
System Nature offers us all of the performance of retinol, without any of the risks or side effects. It makes the perfect choice for pregnant ladies, breastfeeding mamas, and sensitive skins.
The brand’s founders are two leading professors from Leeds: one a professor of organic chemistry, the other a professor of sustainable packaging.
For two decades they’ve condensed their scientific knowledge and poured it into this product line—the formulas, extraction process, and sustainability.
I was so pleased to see the guys joined by a female co-founder.
Tell Me More About The Products
The system comprises three products, suitable for all skin types—a cleansing balm to shift the day’s dirt and makeup, a sumptuous eye cream that plumps and hydrates, and a rich yet lightweight moisturiser for your daily glow up.

All three contain bakuchiol, a natural alternative to retinol.
Fun fact: Bakuchiol is an emerging cosmeceutical agent with promising anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties [1].
Other natural ingredients common to the formulas, such as grapeseed oil, and mandarin peel, help to form a powerhouse of products for the beauty and health of your skin.
How Does The Brand Tackle Sustainability?
Sustainability is baked into System Nature products right from the point of product design. Let’s look at how this works in practise:
- A sourcing philosophy that prioritises local, over nationwide, over international.
- Avoiding all water-intensive oils, silicones, clays, mica, or oxides, as these ingredients often come with earth and human cost.
- Shunning ingredients that harm ecosystems, regardless of their vegan status.
- Passing forward by-products from their production processes for further use.
- 100% recyclable packaging.
The system offers the perfect sustainable routine for healthy skin.
So let’s take a look at the products in more detail now.
System Nature Cleansing Balm
An innovative natural cleansing balm is the first step in your System Nature routine.

The brand claims that their 100% natural balancing formula easily yet gently removes makeup and impurities without disrupting the skin, and is suitable for all skin types.
Ingredients
Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil, Avena Sativa Kernel Flour, Vegetable Glycerin, Propanediol, Polyglyceryl-3 Distearate, Prunus Persica Kernel Oil, Oryza Sativa Bran Cera, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Coco-Glucoside, Aqua, Citrus Nobilis Peel Extract, Tocopherol, Psoralea Corylifolia Seed Extract, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil.
A quick glance over this brief INCI list puts me at ease that this cleanser is carefully formulated with only natural ingredients. The key ingredient is bakuchiol, our skin-loving bio-retinol star.
Carrier oils include grapeseed and peach kernel oils, and we can see them alongside oat kernel flour and rice bran wax, which together form the basis of the balm. The balm contains glycerine to help the skin balance hydration.
Initial impressions
The rich brown colour of System Nature Cleansing Balm makes a welcome change to the usual white or yellow cleansing balms I use. I love the natural colour of the ingredients shining through! The balm has a waxy, hard consistency, and looks concentrated. I can’t wait to feel the exfoliating aspect of the balm on my skin!
Using the balm—colour, scent, skin feel, skin after feel
On a dry or slightly damp face, use a spatula or clean fingers to take a small amount of the balm into the palm of your hand.
Transforming this emulsified balm there is little scent, only the aroma of its natural ingredients. Massaging it into my skin, the balm feels creamy yet gently scrubby thanks to its exfoliating grains. The experience feels really satisfying and soft on the skin. The grains aren’t a problem around my eyes, it’s easy to keep them away.
When the balm is ready to come off, simply add more water and watch it transform into a gorgeous, easy to remove milk. To remove makeup, I use a wash cloth. It’s also fine to not use a wash cloth with this balm, it completely transforms and is easy to wash away with the fingertips.
Final results from using the balm
My skin is left feeling silky smooth, and my makeup is gone. All ready for the next step.
This balm is really unique in my opinion: it does more than just cleanse. At the start of the week I wasn’t sure that my skin would tolerate daily exfoliation, but my skin really loves it!

System Nature Eye Cream
A luxe eye cream to visibly improve lines, wrinkles and puffiness. The eye cream is clinically proven, 100% natural, and suitable for all skin types.

This little beauty has fast become one of my favourite eye creams. The area under my eyes is quite prone to irritation from my retinol eye cream. To counteract this, I’ve been swapping it out with System Nature Eye Cream.
I love the immediate hydration and all-day moisture it provides and that I can use it day and night. It’s formulated with smoothing bakuchiol extract, one of my favourite cosmeceuticals with actual science behind it [2].
Clinical studies show that after 12 weeks:
- The appearance of the eye area improved by 46%.
- Skin showed significant and visible improvement in lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, elasticity and firmness, without the undesirable effects of retinol.
- Skin showed overall reduction in signs of photodamage including even toning effects.
Ingredients
Aqua, Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil, Polyglyceryl-3 Distearate, Oryza Sativa Bran Cera, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Vegetable Glycerin, Undecylenoyl Glycine, Psoralea Corylifolia Seed Extract, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Levulinate, Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil, Citrus Nobilis Peel Extract, Sodium Anisate.
As with the cleansing balm, the key ingredient is bakuchiol. In my opinion, bakuchiol is a key ingredient in an eye cream, making it effective for use during the day unlike retinol-based counterparts.
Looking at the rest of the ingredients, we can see natural and sustainable safflower seed oil, along with grapeseed oil, which are both really nice carrier oils for skin. Rice bran wax also features in the eye cream, and it contains glycerine to help the skin balance hydration.
Initial impressions
On opening both the creams, I was really happy to find products that look natural rather than the white creams we see so much of. Also, this is a big jar, so you get plenty for your money.
Using the eye cream—colour, scent, skin feel, skin after feel
There is no scent to the eye cream. The colour is a pleasing oatmeal.

Taking a little of the eye cream from the jar, it feels rich yet lightweight, and has a sumptuous creaminess.
I dab a small amount around my eye area and the cream sinks in well. There is no noticeable sticky after-feel. I love how rich and hydrating the eye cream feels, without being heavy.
My eye area looks so hydrated and well cared for, and appears more “glowy”. After a week of use, I notice the crepey-ness around my eyes has also improved. Overall, it is great for my mature and normal/dry skin.
Final results from using the eye cream
I’m thrilled with the results from this eye cream, and I feel like it’s perfect for my skin type.
If you’re looking for something to reduce crepey skin, plump the undereye area, and brighten and tone the skin, then this is well worth your money!

System Nature Moisturiser
A bioactive moisturiser to visibly firm the skin, boost elasticity, and reduce pigmentation. The moisturiser promises to match retinol in its efficacy, without any of the side-effects such as redness and peeling.

I absolutely love that the System Nature brand backs up its claims with some facts from its consumer tests:
- 90% saw improvement in roughness and dryness after 12 weeks.
- 39% saw improvement in skin firmness within 12 weeks.
- 82% said their skin felt more hydrated after 2 weeks use.
It really is impressive and gives me a lot of faith in the brand.
I’ve been using the moisturiser alongside my usual tretinoin prescription with great results so far, and no irritation.
Ingredients
Aqua, Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil, Prunus Persica Kernel Oil, Polyglyceryl-3 Distearate, Vegetable Glycerin, Oryza Sativa Bran Cera, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Undecylenoyl Glycine, Prunus Avium Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima Oil, Psoralea Corylifolia Seed Extract, Xanthan Gum, Coco-Glucoside, Sodium Levulinate, Citrus Nobilis Peel Extract, Sodium Anisate, Tocopherol, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil.
Looking over the ingredients, I see the ingredients have much in common with the eye cream, with the addition of Cherry Kernel Oil, and Avocado Oil. I love these blends of carrier oils for their skin benefits.
Using the moisturiser—colour, scent, skin feel, skin after feel
Just like the eye cream, there is no real scent to the moisturiser. It shares the same oatmeal colour.
The texture is thick but lightweight.
Smoothing the cream into my skin, it feels so rich and yet it’s not at all greasy. It absorbs into my skin beautifully and leaves no stickiness behind.
I love how rich and hydrating the moisturiser feels without being heavy, I think this texture is a real win for the brand!
Final results from using the moisturiser
This moisturising cream gives day long hydration and moisturisation. My skin feels plump, soft, and well cared for.
Also, my fine lines appear lessened and my skin looks healthier—and less dehydrated.
I’m really happy with this moisturiser: it irons out fine lines, plumps, and smooths, and I would definitely buy it again.
