Welcome back, beauty lover! Today I’m sharing my review of the haircare brand that’s helped to restore my thinning hair over the last 3 months. It’s Megi Wellness! Our hair truly has the power to make us feel great. After all, when our hair looks good and feels good, we in turn feel good. But if we start to experience hair loss, it can really hit our confidence. For some, this spins into depression and self-loathing. Most people think of hair loss as a male problem, but in fact up to 50% of women experience hair loss too. In pre-menopausal women, this can be due to the hormonal shifts brought about by pregnancy and especially in the postpartum period. For peri-menopausal, menopausal, and post-menopausal women, hair loss is thought to be caused by female-pattern hair loss (FPHL). What can we do about hair loss? Knowing that it is normal, and…

John Masters Organics never fail to impress me with their sublime and luxurious hair and skin care products. I’m a huge fan of their range, which features high-performance natural ingredients to solve real-world beauty problems. Founded in 1991, John Masters Organics is at the forefront of natural and clean beauty products to help us look and feel our very best. The latest addition to their haircare line is the Intensive Repair range featuring hydrating honey alongside protective hibiscus extract. Welcome back, my dear! Today’s review features the superb Dr Barbara Sturm Anti-Hair Fall Scalp Serum! This lightweight hair serum is a real workhorse. It aims to reduce hair loss, thicken weak hair, and soothe a sensitive scalp. As a beauty blogger, sometimes an offer comes along that I simply cannot refuse. So it was when I heard from online store Skinstation, who asked if I’d like to try a beauty product from their range of results-driven skin- and hair-care. Naturally, I jumped at the chance. Who is Skinstation? Skinstation is a specialist online luxury skincare boutique. The store specialises in results-driven skincare, and only carries products subject to rigorous research and development. The store features products from superheroes such as Obagi, Skinceuticals, Dr Levy Switzerland, and of course, Dr Barbara Sturm. This isn’t my first time using German aesthetics skin doctor Dr Barbara Sturm. I also like her Enzyme…

Welcome back, beauty lover! Today, I’m sharing my review of Hair Gain Gummies! Do you suffer from postpartum hair loss? After each of my pregnancies, my hair shed by the bucket-load! And after my third pregnancy I took positive action to slow my hair loss and stimulate new growth by finding a science-backed supplement suitable for breastfeeding mums. I was thrilled to discover Hair Gain Gummies on Cult Beauty! These tasty chews promise to support the growth of normal hair while contributing essential vitamins and minerals, such as biotin, selenium, and zinc. In fact, clinical studies undertaken by the brand show a 78% increase in hair growth and an 86% overall improvement in hair. New mums have enough on their plates without having to worry about postpartum hair loss. But that’s what happens to a staggering 300,000 women a year who suffer from postpartum alopecia – hair loss in the…

Welcome back, beauty lover! Today’s post is all about Typology hair care! If you’ve known me for a while, you know about my love for Typology. In September last year they launched new Typology hair oil and scalp serum products. But wait! Last year, you say? Aren’t bloggers supposed to share the latest products? Well of course, however I had a baby in October last year, so I wanted to wait a little longer to test these hair care products from Typology thoroughly – since I thought they’d be especially helpful in the postpartum period. My scalp is also super fussy in winter, so I thought I’d really be able to put these products through their paces in the winter months – which I have! There are two hair oils – one for fine hair, and one for medium to thick or textured hair. And there are three serums -…

Welcome back, my dear friend! Today I’d love to talk about a beauty brand close to my heart – it’s the wonderful Sakrid Beauty! Sakrid brings us clean and conscious skincare and haircare that’s organic, vegan, and sustainable. The founder of Sakrid, Natalie Elliott, is a true inspiration to women and mums. Not only is she the founder of the clean beauty line, she also talks weekly on her radio show, The Natural Beauty Show – hosted by UK Health Radio. Back in December I was honoured to talk about safe baby skincare on Natalie’s radio show, so do have a listen. I was in good company with guests including Baby Centre and Scentered. But, back to Sakrid. In a market that is so filled with “clean beauty”, what stands Sakrid apart from other clean beauty brands? Natalie’s brand came about during her mother’s fight against breast cancer, making finding…

Welcome back, my beauty friend! Let me tell you all about the natural beauty brand that’s transformed my lockdown hair and skin. Have you heard of John Masters Organics before? The brand creates salon-worthy, effective haircare and skincare products using only organic and natural ingredients. When you look and feel your very best, your beauty speaks for itself. As a leading stylist in New York in the 90s, John Masters was part of an early clean beauty revolution. Because, as his success as a stylist increased, so too did his awareness that the harsh chemicals used in the salon industry may be causing himself, his clients, and the wider world harm. John Masters knew that nature is the best source for clean beauty, so in 1991 he founded his range of haircare products for a gentler and cleaner way to care for hair. In 2019, the brand launched a range…

Hi beauty lovers! Have you heard of Plastic Free July? Plastic Free July is a movement to reduce the amount of plastic waste we produce. The challenge is to refuse single use plastics in July. As a family, we are mindful of the impact of our plastic waste and have been reducing single use plastics for some time. But there’s still huge room for improvement. The most offending single use plastics we still use as a family are without a doubt wet wipes and disposable nappies. I know how harmful they are for the environment, but sometimes getting through life with little kids seems more important. Can you relate? How does this help you? Maybe you’re in the same position as me. We can’t promise a plastic free July, but we can make a start implementing some changes for life. This is what it’s all about! …The truth is that…
