In this post, I share my April 2019 natural beauty empties. During April I’ve used up quite a lot of products – go me! The star product this month is a gorgeous balm that I’ve been using on my psoriasis, which is still covering my hands and arms and is something I’m just about managing. There’s also luscious lip balm, coconut baby wash and konjac sponge, hand cream, moisturiser, sun cream, shampoo, and a handful of travel and sample sizes. Enjoy my empties! Natural beauty empties Bria Balm I’ve absolutely loved using this and it’s a definite repurchase. The silky balm is batch produced to relieve dry, itchy skin that’s prone to eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis. With replenishing borage oil, repairing rosehip, and cooling chickweed to calm itching, it’s helped manage my psoriasis keeping it comfortable and reducing its severity. Definitely one to try if you or your little ones…
I’m always eager to try out any new baby care range, so I was really excited when I found out Odylique had launched new organic baby care products under the name Odylique Baby. Odylique are amongst my favourite brands for those with very sensitive skin because they use only the cleanest of ingredients. So hearing about Odylique Baby made complete sense! The brand describes itself as genuine, nurturing, and unique – which is an accurate description. It feels like I don’t need to check the ingredients list since I trust the brand so much! But I do though, just because it’s interesting. I love that the products are handmade in small batches on a family farm in Suffolk. Ingredients are sourced locally and sustainably with no air-freight since everything comes from the UK or Europe. Odylique never tests on animals and even won an RSPCA award for their commitment to…
March has flown by! I’ve sampled so many amazing new brands and products, it’s felt like Christmas every day. In my empties this month you’ll find a gentle face moisturiser, organic conditioner, foaming and gel face washes, hand sanitiser, creamy body wash, sumptuous body butter, and a Mother’s day treat I ate too soon – oops! Enjoy my March 2019 natural beauty empties! Natural beauty empties Botanicals Gentle Moisturiser This moisturiser is one of my favourites. It’s so gentle and mild, and the fragrance is wonderfully delicate. Even though it moisturises effectively, I’ve been blemish free throughout my time using it. Read my full review of Botanicals moisturiser plus cleanser. Botanicals Gentle Moisturiser Buy Now – £22.50 at Botanicals Ezápé Naturals Rosemary Body Butter (plus secret butter!) I couldn’t wait to start using this again after Cara was born. It’s such a fantastic winter balm and the fragrance is so…
Ready to learn about my January 2019 natural beauty empties! It’s been a year since I started to document my natural beauty empties. I still get a real buzz from finishing a product and including it here. My empties posts are such a nice way to round up the everyday things we use as a family and highlight the stars of my routine. Since the birth of my daughter in November, I’ve had less time for using natural beauty products. But in January things have been a little easier, so I’ve been able to regularly use some of my favourite products again. Hooray for looking after myself! Expect to find luxury face oil, creamy shower wash, sweet smelling baby bath oil, natural hairspray, and a well-loved pink clay konjac sponge. I hope you find it helpful. December has been a whirl of caring for my new baby and my toddler, while getting used to being a family of 4 and furiously preparing for Christmas. What a month! I’ve used a beautiful facial oil, deodorant, healthy breastfeeding snacks and teas, and a haircare sample. There’s even a makeup empty, which is rare for me! I always reuse and recycle my packaging. I hope you love my December 2018 natural beauty empties! I have so many other facial oils in my stash to use, but I know I’ll return to this one.…
November, wow! This month has been all about my darling baby Cara Grace who was born this month. There are only 4 items in my empties this month, for obvious reasons. With a 2 week old baby plus a toddler to care for, my routine has been stripped right down to the very basics. Natural beauty brand Weleda appears in my empties every month without fail, and this month I used another small tube of Weleda Skin Food. I also used up eye gel, shampoo, and maternity pads. Where possible I’ve recycled my packaging. Enjoy my November 2018 natural beauty empties! October, how excited I am to see the end of you! This is a particularly poignant empties post for me, as it will be the last before our new baby is born. Expect to find some quite everyday items this month, like natural deodorant, cleansing milk, and oil-free night serum, along with Jonah’s empties – bubble bath, toothpaste, and nappy cream. Naturally, I’ve recycled and reused my packaging. I hope you like my October 2018 natural beauty empties! Take the guesswork out of your post-pregnancy planning – here are the postpartum essentials you’ll want to stash at home and pack in your hospital bag in the UK. As an experienced mum of four children, I love sharing what worked for me postnatally. I took so much needless stuff to hospital with my first child – I wish I knew then, what I know now! The postpartum period is such a beautiful and special time. But it can be overwhelming, too – especially as a first time mum. After all, not only have you just given birth – whether vaginally or via c-section, you’re experiencing huge physical changes too. A drop in hormones often leads to mood swings – baby blues are a real thing! And not to mention – you now have a brand new little one…
Looking for the most natural beauty and skincare while you’re expecting? Welcome back my friend! In this post, I’m sharing the labour essentials that have got me through four unmedicated Hypnobirth labours. I first shared this post while expecting my second baby in 2018. We’ve welcomed two more babies since then, so I’ve had plenty of trial and error finding out what products are worth your money, and which are not. These are the items you’ll use to make your Hypnobirth labour easier and more comfortable! A useful tip: I take my labour essentials with me separately so I can access everything easily without it getting mixed into my other postpartum and hospital bag items. Having these items in an easy to access pack makes me feel so well-prepared in my final weeks. I hope you enjoy reading about them!
