December has been a whirl of caring for my new baby and my toddler, while getting used to being a family of 4 and furiously preparing for Christmas. What a month!

I’ve used a beautiful facial oil, deodorant, healthy breastfeeding snacks and teas, and a haircare sample. There’s even a makeup empty, which is rare for me!

I always reuse and recycle my packaging. I hope you love my December 2018 natural beauty empties!

The Rose Tree Radiance Facial Essence

This wonderful facial oil lasted me a good 10 months. It’s a fabulous radiance booster and a delight to use.

The Rose Tree Radiance Facial Essence

I have so many other facial oils in my stash to use, but I know I’ll return to this one.

Faerie Organic Matte Finish Fair Foundation

I’ve used this makeup for about 6 years now, and I’m perfectly happy with it.

Faerie Organic Matte Finish Fair Foundation

Back when I had a full time job I could afford to have it shipped from the US, but I’m going to look for something in the UK for my next purchase of foundation. I have another pot of this lovely makeup to use before I seek an alternative. I’m thinking about something nice from Inika.

Elsa’s Organics Deodorant in Dew

This is the citrus variety of Elsa’s super-effective natural deodorant. I’ve since moved on to the plastic-free Elsa’s Creme in a tin, which is very nice indeed and great if you want to ditch plastic packaging. I’m working my way through all the Elsa’s deodorants before I review them here.

Elsa's Organics Deodorant in Dew

I did find Dew to be slightly grittier than Love and Ocean, but perhaps that’s because my bathroom is colder. I’ve yet to try the Sensitive version. Expect my full review of the entire range in spring.

Rahua Classic Shampoo and Conditioner Sample

It’s a natural beauty blogger’s nature to sample her way through all the wonderful brands that are available to her. I’ve heard great things about this brand, so naturally I wanted to try them.

Rahua Classic Shampoo and Conditioner Sample

I treated myself to using this sample on Christmas Eve, and was really pleased with it. The most impressive benefit for me was the shine it brought to my hair. The key ingredient is omega 9-rich rahua nut oil. Definitely a brand to explore some more! Read my review of Rahua Voluminous Shampoo & Conditioner.

Healthy snacks and drinks

Weleda Nursing Tea

This organic herbal nursing tea is a great way to stay hydrated while breastfeeding. It contains a blend of fenugreek, anise, fennel, caraway, and lemon verbena.

Weleda Nursing Tea

It smells strongly of fenugreek when brewing, but the taste is very refreshing. Cara and I are looking forward to our second box now!

l packed these into my labour bag for hospital but didn’t get around to eating them.

Deliciously Ella Energy Balls

They made a lovely breastfeeding snack, though!

Final thoughts on my December 2018 natural beauty empties

I hope you’ve enjoyed my December 2018 natural beauty empties.

In January, I’ll be talking about breaking the cycle of over-washing hair and sharing my views on a very special haircare brand, Tabitha James Kraan. If I can manage it with my little ones, I’ll be reviewing Earth Mother Soul Sister Hand Cream, Weleda Skin Food, and Sophie the Giraffe Baby skincare.

What natural beauty did you use in December? Let me know in the comments! And stay in touch by subscribing.

Until next time!

Helen

These all sound like wonderful products to try! I’ll have to see if I can find that brand of natural deodorant in the US.
