Welcome to my June 2019 natural beauty empties! It’s been a quiet month for skincare in June. I’ve stepped down from receiving LoveLula boxes and credits for the time being so I can blog about my children and relax more once my bairns are in bed. It’s sad, but I had to prioritise. So, on to this month’s empties, which my kiddies have dominated. My favourite product this month is a very special children’s lotion that’s great for all the family. If you have an itchy skin condition, you need to try this one. There’s also a hair and body wash, rose oil hand cream, dragon fruit bubble bath, creamy body wash, and a liquid organic foundation sample. I hope you enjoy my June empties! Natural beauty empties Odylique Baby Repair Lotion This is a rich and soothing lotion with cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, aloe vera to heal, bio-active…
In this post I share my May 2019 natural beauty empties. Weleda feature in most of my empties posts – they’re one of my favourite natural beauty brands. This month my favourite empty is their wonderful Age Revitalising Concentrate – it’s such a star product! Also from Weleda is their Skin Food Light, and creamy body washes. Other empties include bubble bath from Sophie the Giraffe, natural deodorant from Elsa’s, Odylique face moisturiser, tinted lip balm from Burt’s Bees, and a handful of samples. Enjoy my empties! Natural beauty empties Weleda Evening Primrose Age Revitalising Concentrate This is a lovely lightweight serum to use under moisturiser as an anti-aging treatment. Evening primrose in the serum helps stimulate skin’s natural protective and regenerative abilities – perfect as I head towards 40! I’m quite sure Weleda Age Revitalising Concentrate makes a difference to my skin – hydrating and plumping out wrinkles. Weleda…
Before this month’s LoveLula box arrived, I was craving something a little bit unique and different. Well, LoveLula impressed me again! My favourite item of the box is just that. May’s subscriber box contains 4 full-size natural beauties, plus a great sample. The value of the May box is £76, but it costs just £14.95 as a monthly subscriber. I hope you enjoy my review of the LoveLula May 2019 Beauty Box. Mádara Re:gene Volume Rebuild Lifting Mask Now, when I discovered this item in my box, I felt like I’d come across something different and special that might bring about the instant gratification we all crave from skincare – even though we know short term results are probably cosmetic. Mádara promise that the mask delivers visible lifting, plumping, and wrinkle-smoothing properties. Interestingly, it claims to restore the youthful, V-shaped contours of a younger person. It does this using birch…
In this post, I share my April 2019 natural beauty empties. During April I’ve used up quite a lot of products – go me! The star product this month is a gorgeous balm that I’ve been using on my psoriasis, which is still covering my hands and arms and is something I’m just about managing. There’s also luscious lip balm, coconut baby wash and konjac sponge, hand cream, moisturiser, sun cream, shampoo, and a handful of travel and sample sizes. Enjoy my empties! Natural beauty empties Bria Balm I’ve absolutely loved using this and it’s a definite repurchase. The silky balm is batch produced to relieve dry, itchy skin that’s prone to eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis. With replenishing borage oil, repairing rosehip, and cooling chickweed to calm itching, it’s helped manage my psoriasis keeping it comfortable and reducing its severity. Definitely one to try if you or your little ones…
I’m always eager to try out any new baby care range, so I was really excited when I found out Odylique had launched new organic baby care products under the name Odylique Baby. Odylique are amongst my favourite brands for those with very sensitive skin because they use only the cleanest of ingredients. So hearing about Odylique Baby made complete sense! The brand describes itself as genuine, nurturing, and unique – which is an accurate description. It feels like I don’t need to check the ingredients list since I trust the brand so much! But I do though, just because it’s interesting. I love that the products are handmade in small batches on a family farm in Suffolk. Ingredients are sourced locally and sustainably with no air-freight since everything comes from the UK or Europe. Odylique never tests on animals and even won an RSPCA award for their commitment to…
It’s always a treat to receive the LoveLula beauty box! The April edit contains 4 full-size natural beauty treats. There are also 2 lovely little samples to whet your whistle. This month’s box is worth £63, but costs just £14.95 as a monthly subscriber. Read on to learn more about the LoveLula April 2019 Beauty Box. Alteya Organics Chamomile Water This is my favourite item in the box. I love a good flower water, and chamomile is such a wonderful herb for adults and children alike. Alteya Organics describe the water as therapeutic grade, refreshing and toning, uplifting and energising. I’ve used it in several ways already – to replace the toner in my evening routine, to soothe my toddler’s skin after sun exposure, and on my baby’s cradle cap and to clean her nappy area. We really love it! Alteya Organics Chamomile Water Buy Now – £16.65 at Alteya…
My feet caused me such embarrassment as a teenager. Not only were they sweaty, yet dry and cracked, they were often uncomfortable from wearing the wrong shoes. At thirty something, I know the right footwear, alongside a solid foot care routine is the best way to healthy, soft, sweet smelling feet. In this post, I share my review of Botanicals Foot Rescue Balm, a wonderful natural product that works so well as part of my foot care routine. I’m already a big fan of Botanicals – their Gentle Moisturiser and Nourish Cream Cleanser are particularly good natural skincare basics. So I jumped at the chance to try this beautiful foot balm. All Botanicals products are handmade in Britain, Soil Association certified organic, and suitable for vegans. Botanicals balms are made entirely with plant derived ingredients – no animal products or mineral oil. The oils used are cold-pressed, making for a…
March has flown by! I’ve sampled so many amazing new brands and products, it’s felt like Christmas every day. In my empties this month you’ll find a gentle face moisturiser, organic conditioner, foaming and gel face washes, hand sanitiser, creamy body wash, sumptuous body butter, and a Mother’s day treat I ate too soon – oops! Enjoy my March 2019 natural beauty empties! Natural beauty empties Botanicals Gentle Moisturiser This moisturiser is one of my favourites. It’s so gentle and mild, and the fragrance is wonderfully delicate. Even though it moisturises effectively, I’ve been blemish free throughout my time using it. Read my full review of Botanicals moisturiser plus cleanser. Botanicals Gentle Moisturiser Buy Now – £22.50 at Botanicals Ezápé Naturals Rosemary Body Butter (plus secret butter!) In this post I’m sharing my review of the super-luxurious Rahua Voluminous Shampoo and Rahua Voluminous Conditioner. You should definitely read this post if you’re considering investing in this expensive duo. I first came across Rahua because my blogger friends posted reviews about their experiences with the products. Excited by the buzz, I bagged myself a sample. Intrigued by the brand, I then invested in Rahua’s fabulous natural hairspray. My hair is decidedly normal, but it’s fine and somewhat thinning. For the past 2 months, I’ve experienced some pretty severe postpartum hair loss. And due to stress my psoriasis has flared again, leaving my scalp irritated and dry. It’s a tricky situation, though, as overly moisturising formulations tend to leave me with greasy roots. I don’t like to wash my hair every day (lazy mama), so that’s always a consideration when choosing a shampoo and conditioner. What I really wanted…
It’s been like Christmas for me this month with 2 gorgeous beauty boxes to review. The LoveLula March 2019 Beauty Box is a real treasure trove of skincare and makeup from both well-known and new brands. The March beauty box contains 4 full-size natural beauty products and 3 sample sachets. It’s worth a whopping £70, but costs just £14.95 as a monthly subscriber. When I got the box in my hands this month, I was startled at how light it was compared with previous months. It took a few moments for me to realise that this box must contain MAKEUP! How exciting! So let’s have a look at this month’s fabulous box! Mádara Deep Moisture Gel I’m a big fan of Mádara natural skincare, especially their cleansers, so I was really excited to find this light gel moisturiser in the box. It’s intended for oily and combination skin, but I…
