Just a quick post today to let you know about the skincare finds I picked up at Persephone Beauty.
Persephone Beauty is a natural and organic online beauty store showcasing handpicked conscious beauty. It was founded by lovely wife and husband team Laura and Chris, and named after Persephone – the beautiful Greek goddess of all things nature and springtime.
We named ourselves after Persephone because she represents a feminine connection to nature, with spring coinciding with her annual return from Hades.
Laura had the idea for Persephone Beauty during her pregnancy, when like so many of us, she really began to scrutinise and question the ingredients in her skincare and beauty. She truly cares about finding the right skincare, and you can find all her edits on Persephone Beauty. I completely trust Laura’s judgement on what skincare is safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding, too.
What stands Persephone Beauty apart? The belief that there’s more to skincare than simply its price or results – production and sourcing methods are so important. But buying green beauty can be overwhelming – there’s so much choice, and we can’t always tell if something was produced in a conscious manner.
Persephone Beauty showcase only beauty brands who share the same values of clean, cruelty-free, eco-friendly skincare. They take the guesswork out of making a good choice!
Now let’s get on to these goodies!
UpCircle Coffee Face Scrub in Citrus Blend
UpCircle caught my attention many times before I decided to give this face scrub for sensitive, dry, and dehydrated skin a try. If you haven’t heard of UpCircle before, they make beauty products out of repurposed ingredients that would ordinarily go to waste, like coffee grounds, apricot stones, and chai spices.
This coffee-based face scrub promises to buff away dead skin cells to reveal brighter, glowing skin. Caffeine in the coffee increases blood flow, while orange oil reduces inflammation.
I’m really impressed with this scrub. I love the aluminium tube which is completely recyclable. As you would expect, this scrub looks and feels a lot like coffee grounds with a gorgeous citrus kick. Definitely do this scrub first thing in the morning for a zingy wake up!
To use, I very gently massage a blob of UpCircle Face Scrub into my face. It rinses away easily with tepid water, leaving a rich shea butter and rosehip oil moisturising layer behind which keeps my skin feeling comfortable after the scrub.
My skin is smoother and brighter after using the scrub, and I love the UpCircle ethos of reuse, repurpose, relove! If you like your scrubs as scrubby as can be, give this a try!

Evolve Daily Defence Moisture Mist
I’m a big fan of floral mists, and these mists with benefits take it to the next level with added ingredients to boost moisture levels in the skin.
This mist promises to help soothe dry and irritated skin, firming and protecting it from dryness and signs of dehydration. I love the key ingredients – moringa peptides for environmental protection and prickly pear to calm. There’s also hyaluronic acid to ramp up skin’s hydration levels.
I’m currently using this after cleansing my skin and before applying serum or moisturiser. The glass spray bottle is very effective indeed, distributing a fine even layer of the delicately fragranced mist over my skin.
Daily Defence Moisture Mist certainly helps to keep my skin’s hydration levels up and it’s so relaxing. I’m using it on my hands too, to hydrate them before applying a healing balm.
A gorgeous mist with a lovely ingredients list and a real feel good factor!

I am all about natural facial products and in need of a mild scrub, may have to snag this one!
Yes! This one is quite “scrubby” so I’d advise going gently with it.
Sounds like great product, I will have to try it out. Thanks for sharing this.
Yes! They really are. Thank you!
Coffee and citrus?? Sign me up! This sounds amazing.
Exactly! So fragrant.
I’ve actually been looking for a mist like you suggested and a good scrub. I’m excited to look at trying these!
I think you’d love them both. I recently finished the mist and it’s a definite repurchase.
This face scrub sounds like something I should look into. Thanks!
It’s really lovely, but a little strong so I go gently with it.
