March 2020 natural beauty empties

Here are my March 2020 natural beauty empties. Another month of empties, and how much life has changed since my last empties post. In the light of the Coronavirus pandemic, my post about skincare empties seems trivial, but I’m finding solace in my skincare and carrying on my blog as normal. And you know what? Taking care of my skin is still incredibly important to me! It’s pretty much my rock.

In March, I used up hydrating day cream, silky tinted lip balm, a zesty lemon hand smoothie for sore hands, tea tree balm, and lemongrass & chamomile soap.

Enjoy!

Lumen Vitae Ray of Light Day Cream

I was kindly sent Ray of Light Day Cream and others in the Lumen Vitae range to try. This soothing cream took me no time to use up – I loved it. It’s hydrating and calming, perfect for wearing in the morning after a night with Lumen Vitae Moonlight glycolic moisturiser on.

Did it live up to its claims to hydrate, nourish, and protect my skin? Definitely! My skin remained hydrated and I saw the effects of cyathea cumingii, a natural biochemical lifting active, on my skin immediately and with continued use.

Definitely check out the entire range of this gorgeous skincare line created by a brother and sister team with a passion for skincare.

JOIK Silky Lip Balm in Pastel Pink

It took me a whole year to use this cutie up! It came in the LoveLula May 2019 Beauty Box. At first, I wasn’t a big fan of the colour on me. But as time went on I loved the subtle pink sheen.

JOIK Silky Lip Balm in Pastel Pink

It’s a little harder in texture than other tinted lip balms I’ve tried, but it’s still easy to apply and leaves lips feeling so soft and well nourished.

Definitely one to try again!

Odylique Lemon Butter Hand Smoothie

If you’ve been frequently washing your hands like literally everybody has during this Coronavirus crisis, then Odylique Lemon Butter Hand Smoothie is the perfect treatment.

Odylique Lemon Butter Hand Smoothie

This hand cream helped to soothe, hydrate, and de-wrinkle my hands with anti-ageing ingredients like rich avocado, healing calendula, and toning lemon. I’d certainly repurchase this hand cream and it may well become a go-to item in my collection.

Balm Balm Tea Tree Face Balm

This fabulously versatile little balm with tea tree can help with all kinds of skin complaints. It came in the July 2018 LoveLula Beauty Box so it’s taken me a while to use up – a little goes a long way.

Balm Balm Tea Tree Face Balm

I’ve used it as a boo-boo balm for myself and my children, to treat dry areas of skin on my face, as a spot treatment, and it’s also a perfect foot balm. Bonus: all Balm Balm products now come in glass. I’ll be sure to recycle this one though!

Alter/native Lemongrass & Chamomile Soap

This was a lovely Christmas gift from my mum. Thanks mum! It’s a really gorgeous zingy soap which leaves hands feeling soft and clean.

Alter/native Lemongrass & Chamomile Soap

The only downside with this soap is that it’s quite soft, so storing it in a draining soap dish is a good way to stop it turning to mush.

Samples

This month I shopped my stash of samples with Cara – what fun we had rifling through them all! Many of my samples are going out of date, and I would hate to waste them.

March 2020 natural beauty samples

I’ve got Weleda Hydrating Iris Facial Lotion, Weleda Wild Rose Smoothing Facial Lotion, Alteya Organics Purifying Facial Cleanser, Comfort Zone Specialist Hand Cream, and D’Alchemy Age-Delay Eye Concentrate.

My long term plan is to avoid bringing in any new samples, since they’re not an eco-friendly option. Expect more next month as I use up those in my collection close to their use-by date.
