Welcome back, my friend! If you’re looking for prescription eyeglasses without the hassle of visiting a real store, then consider GlassesShop. In this post you’ll find my honest and comprehensive GlassesShop review. I chose two pairs of glasses from the shop using their virtual 3D Try On service.

So, let’s start this GlassesShop review!

Choosing your eyeglasses – frames and lenses

There is so much choice on the GlassesShop store! Whether you’re looking for cheap eyeglasses or something special (diamond cut eyewear, anyone?).

I found it helpful to browse the Best Sellers first. It’s been a while since I wore glasses (even though I need them to see clearly) and I feel like I’ve fallen out of touch with what is popular, dare I say trendy. But I found everything I desired and more, especially since the glasses are helpfully categorised according to frame shape, style, gender, and more.

The online try on service

After shortlisting several glasses and adding them to my favourites, it’s time to whittle that list down. Here, the GlassesShop 3D Virtual Try On service is really useful and gave me a really good idea of what the glasses would look like before committing to buy them. Use your webcam (or phone camera) in real time to see how the eyeglasses look.

If this isn’t enough, you can request a free Home Try On service to get a feel for the quality and materials, and of course whether the frames suit your face and personality. Select up to 5 frames to sample at home.

I decided on the Saxton Oval Rose Gold Eyeglasses, I love the slim arms and the beautiful rose gold colour of the frames. They look really delicate and pretty. Secondly, I went for the Poppy Cat Eye Multicolor Eyeglasses – two very different styles. The Poppy glasses make a bit more of a statement and are chunky and colourful.

Ordering your eyeglasses

Now you’ve chosen the frames, if you need prescription lenses you can enter your RX (the prescription) and PD (pupillary distance). You can do this by manually entering the details, or you can upload your prescription. I entered my details manually into the site.

Next, choose the lens type. I chose high-index blue blocker lenses, which is perfect for anybody who spends a lot of time on a computer or using a mobile device. Alternatively, choose clear, transitions, or photochromic lenses, or prescription sunglasses.

Next, select your lenses package to upgrade your lenses. I chose the standard upgrade for £36.30 which gives me 1.61 blue blockers, anti-scratch, anti-reflective, and UV coating.

Shipping is free for orders over £53, which is a nice bonus. Payment is via credit card, PayPal, Amazon Pay, and AfterPay. The glasses, I believe, come directly from the country of manufacture, China. Delivery is fast, taking about 1 week to the United Kingdom.

The glasses arrive packaged very nicely and securely.

The glasses

The quality of the glasses is top notch. Indeed, they seem sturdy and well-made. The prescription seems to be perfect – it’s nice to be able to see clearly again. The glasses fit me really well, but if you receive yours and you find they need adjusting, you can do this yourself at home. Here’s how you can adjust the fit of your glasses. Naturally, the glasses come with a glasses case and cleaning cloth.

If you need to return your glasses

It’s reassuring to note that GlassesShop offer a 30-day exchange and return policy. You can get a free exchange or 50% refund (only pay for the shipping) if you’re not happy with your glasses. Additionally, glasses come with a 30-day warranty and a 365-day frame guarantee.

Final thoughts on GlassesShop

I’m so happy with my glasses – the style and quality are perfect and I’ve had so many compliments on how nice they are! The process of choosing eyeglasses from GlassesShop is far easier than I anticipated. I’ll definitely order this way again with complete confidence.
