In this post, I’d love to introduce you to Alteya Organics Hand Cream, a lovely rose oil based hand cream I’ve been using the last few weeks.

Officially titled Alteya Organics Age Defense Hand Cream, this hand cream is perfect for all ages, but is particularly suited to mature skins. It not only actively treats the signs of ageing like dehydration and skin discolouration, but it future-proofs skin against further pigmentation.
It’s true that hands are one of the first places to show the signs of ageing. Along with the face and neck, they’re the body part most frequently exposed to damaging UV rays, wind, and cold.
When you think about all the things your hands do on a daily basis, it’s no wonder they start to age faster than everywhere else. And despite how we live and what we do, collagen is inevitably lost from the skin over time.
That’s why, along with other lifestyle and preventative measures, hand cream is a must to keep your hands looking good for their age. So let’s take a look at this gorgeous natural hand cream and see how it can help.
Alteya Organics Hand Cream
This Natrue certified organic hand cream promises to deeply nourish the skin and help fight signs of ageing by revitalising skin and reducing the appearance of age spots. Alteya Organics claim the conditioning and restorative formula, based on pure certified organic rose oil, protects, firms, and rejuvenates skin, healing dryness and dehydration.
The hand cream is vegan, not tested on animals, non-GMO, gluten-free, and contains no synthetic preservatives including phenoxyethanol.
What piqued my interest in this hand cream are the special ingredients it contains, including pracaxi oil, mango seed butter, and pumpkin seed oil. We’ll take a look at those in a moment.
Now let’s see how I got on with the hand cream.
My experience using Alteya Organics Hand Cream
Alteya Organics Hand Cream comes in a squeezable screw cap plastic tube.
The cream is thick, rich, and has the fragrance of rose. My hands immediately feel softened and nurtured. The first time I used this natural hand cream, I was so surprised how quickly it was absorbed.
Immediately after use, fine lines appear softened. Since I don’t yet have age spots, I can’t say how well the cream works at lightening them. However the skin on my hands certainly does look brighter after use and I’m continuing to see results a few weeks in.
It protects hands from the elements well. During winter I’ve been using it 2-3 times per day. My hands do get terribly dry and I feel this cream helps.
I’ve used it during eczema flare ups on my hands, and it worked to soothe them during this time and didn’t exacerbate my eczema.
Let’s take a look at the ingredients.

How do the ingredients help?
Of course, rose otto is the star ingredient in this gorgeous hand cream. Alteya claim it refreshes, nourishes, and soothes the skin. Rose otto fights free radicals and stimulates collagen production, which helps slow down the ageing process. What is really interesting about rose otto is that it has a toning and astringent effect on capillaries, which is a definite plus for ageing skin on the hands.
Pracaxi oil is a completely new ingredient to me! And fascinatingly, pracaxi oil actually inhibits melanin production, future proofing skin against age spots.
Mango seed butter is one lovely ingredient! Mango seed butter plumps the skin and firms its appearance.
Pumpkin seed oil is a fabulous anti-ageing ingredient, since its high levels of vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids help skin stay soft, improve skin tone, and help with skin renewal.
Slowing down the signs of ageing
Aside from using a hand cream, what else can we do to slow down the ageing process?
Healthy lifestyle is obviously key, but try these hand care tips to keep your hands in top condition:
- Minimise exposure to the sun by using natural sunscreen daily
- Avoid over exposure to water, as this can strip oils from the skin
- Use a gentle natural hand wash rather than harsh soaps
- Wear gloves during cleaning to reduce exposure to cleaning agents
- Exfoliate regularly
- Consider treatment serums such as vitamin C, retinol, or bakuchiol
Final thoughts on Alteya Organics Hand Cream
Alteya Organics Hand Cream is wonderfully nurturing as an everyday hand cream, and contains some really interesting ingredients to help with the signs of ageing. Its potential ability to prevent pigmentation is a big plus, and used alongside a sunscreen it makes a great defence against ageing.
It’s a pleasure to use, and for me it does live up to its claims to reduce the signs of ageing. The benefits of this natural hand cream increase over time, so it’s definitely worth trying even before your hands start to show signs of ageing.
