Welcome back, skincare lover! In this post we’ll be looking at my Cult Beauty Christmas haul including the Best of 2021 Goody Bag.

My husband chose some gorgeous gifts for me this year – everything from Cult Beauty – and the clever human bagged the long awaited free gift with purchase goody bag while he was at it.

I can’t wait to show you what I got! Plus talk about the bag. It’s a real treasure trove – packed with 28 products – and worth over £370.

A selection of Cult Beauty Christmas gifts

There are so many great natural and clean gifting options on Cult Beauty, and plenty to help busy parents unwind, relax, and feel beautiful.

But before we take a look at what my husband gifted me, let me express my gratitude. Thanks so much, Martin! I’m so grateful we can afford little luxuries at Christmas.

So, let’s look at what my husband bought – my Cult Beauty Christmas gifts!

Cult Beauty Christmas gifts

Cult Beauty sell a wide range of natural, clean and sustainable brands. Their Cult Conscious initiative helps you find cleaner, greener, and kinder beauty. You should check it out!

Biossance Advent Calendar

Probably the most valued of my Cult Beauty Christmas gifts! A week or so before Christmas my husband presented me with the “feel-good holiday gift of the season”. Promising 12 days to your healthiest skin, this sustainably produced advent calendar is infinitely better than a chocolate advent calendar, and that’s big for me!

Most valued Cult Beauty Christmas gift! Biossance Advent Calendar

The calendar is a great way to sample the brand – I made so many amazing Biossance discoveries! My favourites are the Squalane + Omega Repair Cream and Squalane + Antioxidant Cleansing Oil, which I’d love to buy in full size.

Herbivore Moment to Escape Set

A dreamy gift set containing Coco Rose Body Polish and Coco Rose Soft Glow Body Oil. These two full size products in a curvy coffret are just perfect – which busy mum (or dad) wouldn’t like the opportunity to spend 30 minutes in the bath or shower with them?

Herbivore Moment to Escape Set - Cult Beauty Christmas gift set

Surprisingly, the Coco Rose products don’t smell like rose but do have a soft coconut scent and gorgeous texture. Coco Rose products leave me with soft, silky touchable skin, which is really boosting my confidence.

The cult Skin Food in lip balm form. I’m a huge Skin Food fan, and it’s great to try another item in the Skin Food family. With sunflower seed oil, rosemary, calendula, and chamomile extracts – it promises to soothe and protect.

Weleda Skin Food Lip Balm

Skin Food Lip Balm is light, fragrant, non greasy and hardworking. I’ve stepped up my outdoors time in the last few weeks and this lip balm is working well to protect my lips.

Weleda Calendula Baby Lotion

I absolutely adore Weleda Calendula, and it is my first time trying the lotion after using the Calendula Shampoo & Body Wash, Calendula Bath, and Calendula Nappy Cream.

After seeing Weleda’s calendula fields first hand at their blogger event, I have a real soft spot for Weleda! And the Body Lotion is all I could wish for! Soft, fragrant, gentle, and an effective moisturiser for all my little ones.

Pixi Glow Tonic

Believe it or not I’d never tried this before my husband gifted it. It does contain some lovely ingredients, but also some unnecessary ingredients like artificial fragrance and colourings. I’m using The Ordinary’s 7% Glycolic which is similar in formulation but contains no fragrance or dyes.

Now let’s take a look at the Cult Beauty Best of 2021 Gift Bag!

Cult Beauty Best of 2021 Goody Bag – the items I love

This gift with purchase showcases the best skincare, makeup, and hair care at Cult Beauty. It comes with a £15 Cult Beauty voucher and 2 reusable bags, too.

To qualify for the goody bag, my husband must’ve spent £185 or more on my presents this year. Yikes! Thanks hubbie!

And let me say, some products I was super excited to try. Yet, there are others that I wouldn’t choose for myself. There are also some that aren’t suited to nursing and pregnant mamas due to their ingredients.

Shall we take a look now?

Omorovicza Queen Cream

It was love at first sight when I spied the fabulous Onorovicza Queen Cream in the goody bag!

Omorovicza Queen Cream

Admittedly, I wasn’t quite sure what to do with it! Well, it’s “a balmy moisturiser-meets-primer that replenishes your skin and blurs imperfections to create a smooth canvas”. I’m enjoying every minute!

Briogeo Be Gentle Be Kind Avocado + Kiwi Moisture Superfood Mask

I was very excited to find this in the goody bag. Briogeo Superfood Mask boasts an absolute smorgasbord of natural ingredients such as spirulina, chia seeds, and cocoa. It promises to revive and replenish stressed and damaged hair back to its shiny and smooth glory. I found it nicely softened my dry ends and added a lovely shine. A really nice hair mask!

Herbivore Cloud Jelly Plumping Hydration Serum

This strawberry coloured serum was already on my wish list and doesn’t disappoint. It contains tremella mushroom, which interestingly holds up to 500 times its weight in water and is scientifically proven to retain moisture better than topical hyaluronic acid.

Mario Badescu Witch Hazel & Rosewater Toner

This couldn’t smell any more like roses! It’s perfect. I suspect the fragrance isn’t 100% natural, and it does contain synthetic colourants. But it’s a beautiful experience – refreshing, hydrating, and a real mood booster.

Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum

A white shiitake mushroom and vitamin C blend to reduce dark spots and even out the skin tone. Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Serum fits so easily into my routine and I can’t wait to see its brightening effects.

This brand is all over my Instagram, so I was bowled over to find the Enzyme Cleanser in the goody bag. I really love how it cleanses and exfoliates all in one. Since it’s best suited to oily skins, I’ll use it twice or three times a week. Hello, silky skin!

Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant

ESPA Yuzu & Ginger Cleansing Sorbet

I’ve heard so much about this brand. So I was happy to learn that Protini Polypeptide Cream is packed with incredible levels of amino acids, growth factors, and signal peptides, and nothing too controversial. Fun to try, but not to buy!

Makeup by Mario Master Mattes Liquid Liner ~ this liner is a real beauty, however it contains an ingredient, BHT, that is controversial. I’d rather not use it, since there are healthier alternatives.

Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream ~ oh gosh, this smells so good but so strong! I’m not sure I can handle it! Certainly not while breastfeeding as I don’t want its smell all over my baby.

Tower 28 Milky Lip Jelly in Coconut ~ it’s lovely but contains a fair dose of synthetic ingredients. If you’d rather go completely natural I’d recommend Inika Lip Gloss.

MDO Intense Hydrating Moisturiser ~ super hydrating and moisturising with a gorgeous rich texture, too. I wouldn’t buy it because I’m unsure of its impact on the environment.

NARS Lipstick in Orgasm ~ I was so happy to find this in the goody bag, but disappointed at some of the ingredients, including BHT.

Natasha Denona Mini Love Palette ~ this is fun, but I’m not sure about the ethics of the Natasha Denona brand. They certainly use carmine in their makeup so they can’t be called cruelty-free. Is the mica mined sustainably? Who knows! I tend not to buy from makeup brands who don’t discuss sustainability on their FAQs.

IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumising Mascara ~ contains silicone, but also has nice ingredients like peptides and horsetail, too. I’m not convinced it’s better than my favourite mascara, but it’s good nonetheless.

Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer ~ a mixed bag of natural and not-so-clean ingredients in this primer. It does the job, though.

Amika Flash Instant Shine Mask ~ honestly, I didn’t notice a difference to my normal conditioner and I’m not a fan of benzophenone-4 in my haircare.

Kate Somerville Total Repair Cream ~ silicone, PEG, and BHT. Not for me, I’m afraid.

Malin + Goetz Botanical Deodorant ~ a bit of a strange one. Such a hard deo to apply, with almost a lip balm like texture and it did almost nothing for my body odour. Did I get a dud?

The items I can’t use due to breastfeeding

Unfortunately I can’t use Medik8 Intelligent Retinol 3TR, Verso Daily Glow with Retinol 8 & Vitamin C and Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Extra Strength Daily Peel because they contain retinol, and I’m nursing.

I really enjoyed Hum Hair Sweet Hair Gummies. In fact, my nails grew long and strong while I was munching them daily. However, I don’t want to buy full size as the gummies contain PABA, which hasn’t been tested for safety on nursing mothers and their nurslings.

Final thoughts on Cult Beauty Christmas haul

I hope you enjoyed learning about my Cult Beauty Christmas haul? There are so many clean and green choices and Cult Beauty have made it easy to find them. My husband chose wisely!

The GWP goody bag is a great way to discover new brands and products, many of them “clean”. In general, I would’ve liked to see more wellness or relaxation items in the goody bag, though.

Do you love Cult Beauty? Did you get any Cult Beauty Christmas gifts? Let me know in the comments!

And remember to follow me and subscribe to my blog to hear about my content when I publish it.

See you next time!

  1. I got the same goodie bag and it was such a great one. The Biossance serum made me break out, I do love the mario eyeliner but the brush is a bit too thick for my tastes. OVerall it was such a good value for money and tbh I still haven’t tried everything

  2. I’ve been looking for a new deodorant and that kopari looks like it’s perfect for making the switch from my chemical-laden one.

  3. I’ve honestly never heard of any of these brands but they sound fabulous! I’m on the hunt for a new cleanser. I want to try that superfood one.
