Enjoy my March 2021 natural beauty empties!

Kathleen Citrus Cheer Bubble Bath & Shower Gel

This was my first Kathleen product. I loved it, and I’d really like to try more from Kathleen! It came in the LoveLula June 2020 Beauty Box.

Kathleen Citrus Cheer Bubble Bath & Shower Gel

I used it mostly in the shower as I find it hard to make time for baths. It’s quite thin as a shower gel and the screw format bottle would definitely be easier in the bath, but oh my – the fragrance! It’s like grown up, sophisticated lemon with its addition of beautiful rosewood. Using it brought me so much cheer and uplifted me ready for my day.

NK Naturals Winter Botanical Mist

A gorgeous copper distilled botanical mist made specifically for winter skin – I enjoyed it to the last drop. I loved featuring NK Naturals Winter Collection in February.

NK Naturals Winter Botanical Mist

The mist certainly helped my dry winter skin with its calming lemon balm hydrosol, soothing frankincense, and healing yarrow. Now I’m looking towards NK Naturals Spring and Summer Collections!

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel

There’s so much to love about this nutritious rosy cleansing balm. First and foremost, it’s an effective cleanser with interesting ingredients such as MSM and pumpkin enzymes.

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel

But it also makes for a cheerful cleansing experience, with the soft pink fragrant gel that gently melts into a grime shifting oil when massaged into the skin.

The rose geranium fragrance is a real mood booster, and the balm emulsifies beautifully with water, making it a breeze to rinse away. I’d love to try more from Oskia, and I’d definitely invest in a full size Renaissance Cleansing Gel in the future.

John Masters Organics Leave-In Conditioning Mist with Green Tea & Calendula

This little treasure came in a Naturisimo Discovery Box, and I’m in love with it! It’s a really lightweight way to tame unruly ends and sticky up bits. I think it would work really well for most hair types. It works well layered with richer hair serums, too.

John Masters Organics Leave-In Conditioning Mist with Green Tea & Calendula

I also really loved to use it between washes to tame my dry ends. It’s silicone free, so no worries about build up or harming the environment. I’m definitely going to treat myself to a full size bottle soon!

Weleda Tinted Lip Balm in Nude

A really lush tinted lip balm from my long term love, Weleda. I have so many of these in my stash! They keep lips soft while providing a delicate tint.

Moi Vert Fragrance Free Natural Deodorant

This natural and fragrance free deodorant came in the LoveLula October 2020 Beauty Box. It worked really well for me at first, but I saw diminishing effects and was finding myself a little smelly as the day wore on.

Moi Vert Fragrance Free Natural Deodorant

On the plus side, it’s the first bicarbonate of soda deodorant not to irritate me, so there’s that. I think if I were to buy it, I’d have to go for the fragranced version, since the shea butter aroma of this deodorant is very strong!

Ayumi Glow Turmeric & Papaya Glycolic Face Toner

I’m a fan of using glycolic toners – used sparingly my skin appreciates this form of exfoliation. Ayumi Glycolic Toner came in the LoveLula September 2020 Beauty Box.

Ayumi Glow Turmeric & Papaya Glycolic Face Toner

The toner, with aloe, turmeric, and papaya left my skin feeling soft and refreshed, and didn’t irritate me. On first sniff and a glance at the ingredients, I was sure it would irritate me, due to the strong fragrance and certain ingredients like sodium hydroxide high up the ingredients list.

It’s a good value for money toner though, and I can’t argue with the results. But the fragrance and ingredients don’t sit well with me given the alternatives available.

Skin Elixir samples

I was so kindly sent these samples by the lovely Shona, founder of Skin Elixir. The products interestingly contains black seed oil to quickly transform lacklustre skin.

Skin Elixir samples

I tried out samples of the Magnificent Night Oil and the Frankincense & May Chang Moisturiser.

The oil really is magnificent, and the sensuous fragrance stays with me even though it was over 3 weeks since I used it up! The fragrance is so different from other oils I’ve tried – in quite a mysterious way! It contains moringa, calendula, and pomegranate to boost collagen and increase elasticity. There’s also cold pressed virgin black seed oil and essential oils of vetiver, rose absolute, and sandalwood for a treat for skin and senses.

As for the moisturiser – I was skeptical at first, as the formula is more like a balm and I’m sometimes reluctant to use heavy balms on my face. The first night I used it, I applied way too much and was left with residue on my face. But the following night I pared down the application and found the moisturiser to absorb faster, leaving behind a comforting pillow of all night moisture. If you wake up to dry skin, you have to try this one! The may chang fragrance is amazing, too!

Using this duo, my skin was like velvet. I love the pampering and luxurious feel of these skincare finds! I think they’d work wonders for dry and maturing skin.
