In this post, I share my September 2018 natural beauty empties! Not reviewing the LoveLula box this month has seen quite a dramatic decrease in the number of samples I’ve used. Expect to find fragrant rose waters, delicious pregnancy teas, unscented body moisturiser, foaming cleanser, day cream, summery body lotion, and more! As always, I reuse and recycle my packaging. This post is all about the ritual of oil-free night care – why you might want to try going oil-free at night, the benefits to your skin, how to do it, and my pick of wonderful oil-free night serums. By oil-free I mean serums containing no or very low amounts of oil. No base or carrier oils, just small amounts of beneficial essential oils. It’s a little unusual as a beauty blogger to avoid all the lovely oil-based night creams and serums on offer. But it’s something I’ve done for about 10 years, and I feel my skin benefits. Maybe it’s for you, too? It was Dr. Hauschka that inspired me to switch to oil-free skincare at night. Just read this quote from Annette Greco, Head of Galenic Development at Dr. Hauschka, on nighttime with Dr. Hauschka skincare. During the day, your skin can use the protection and nourishment offered by…
In this post, I review Weleda Gentle Cleansing Foam. I’m a big fan of cleansing foams. If I’ve been wearing makeup or SPF, I use a cleansing foam as the second step in a double cleanse. I also use a cleansing foam in my morning shower to refresh my skin. As a huge Weleda fan, my excitement when they released this cleansing foam was very real! I immediately bought some from my Weleda Wellbeing Advisor. My bottle is all used up now, so I gave it a thorough testing over several months. Ideal for normal and combination skin, and suitable for vegans, Weleda promises a gentle, non-drying deep cleanse that refreshes the skin while harnessing valuable plant extracts. The aim is to gently remove daily dirt, excess oil, and make-up in the kindest, most effective way. Key botanicals include organic witch hazel and marshmallow along with a sprightly blend of essential…
Welcome back! In this post I’m sharing the best perfume for pregnant women. Starting with whether perfume during pregnancy is safe, why to choose natural perfumes, and sharing some recommendations for pregnancy safe perfumes. I’m talking about natural fragrances that are non-toxic, clean, with natural ingredients that are less likely to overwhelm your heightened sense of smell. Buckle up, because this is a deep dive into perfume for pregnant women. If you’d prefer, you can skip straight to the perfumes, or download the free PDF list. When I fell pregnant with my first baby, one of the first pregnancy symptoms I noticed was how I perceived fragrance. No longer could I stand many of the fragrances in my collection. Synthetic fragrance had me gagging, it was awful! Have you experienced this? Many pregnant women experience this heightened sense of smell, thanks to hormonal changes. And if you previously loved fragrance…
In this post, I review the healthy and delicious Copura Coconut and Aloe Toothpaste. I don’t review toothpaste very often on my blog. I have quite sensitive teeth and I need to use a sensitive toothpaste once a day to keep my teeth calm. As I’ve mentioned in other toothpaste reviews, I’d love a natural brand to bring out a natural toothpaste containing the magic ingredient potassium nitrate. Maybe I should DIY it. Anyway, that’s another post! Disclosure: I was gifted Copura Coconut and Aloe Toothpaste by Copura. My views are honest and my own. I use natural toothpaste once a day, so I was happy to try Copura Coconut and Aloe Toothpaste and excited to see how it could benefit my teeth and mouth. Most people know about the dental benefits of coconut and aloe, they’re such lovely ingredients. Copura claim the ingredients will provide a complete new oral health…
In this post, I’m sharing my favourite Mádara cleansers. It goes without saying that cleansing is one of the most important steps of any skincare routine. Most people have figured out their favourite way to cleanse, whether it be with oil, balm, gel, or a creamy or milky cleanser. Personally, I like thick creamy cleansers, and foaming or gel cleansers. Although it’s not for everybody, I double cleanse after wearing makeup. I like the way my skin feels perfectly clean afterwards. Double cleansing keeps my hormonal outbreaks to a minimum, and my combination skin happy. I have tried both the oil and balm cleansing methods, but found it a little harder to remove my makeup – although I know others swear by it. As part of the LoveLula blogger scheme, I’m always on the lookout for new creamy cleansers to remove my makeup, and foaming or gel cleansers to complete my…

Have you heard of Alteya Organics before? If so, you’ll know they’re a wonderful family-owned Bulgarian brand with a focus on rose-based organic natural beauty products. If not, as an ambassador for the brand, I can’t wait to tell you all about them and their lovely products. Alteya Organics provide caring natural beauty products for mamas and their babies. The range includes face care, body care, sunscreens, nappy cream, and of course their wonderful rose water. Regular readers of my blog will know I’m a huge fan of The Rose Tree natural beauty products. So far I’ve tried their Radiance Facial Essence and Intensive Balm. Recently, the brand launched a range of luxury body oils – I’ve been trying The Rose Tree De-Stress Body Oil with Juniper and Grapefruit. I really love The Rose Tree brand and their natural beauty products. The brand is spot on – luxury and classy, yet completely down to earth. You’ll find no false promises or flashy buzzwords. Here’s a quick introduction to The Rose Tree De-Stress Body Oil from The Rose Tree: Disclosure: I received The Rose Tree De-Stress Body Oil to review by The Rose Tree. My opinions are honest and my own. A luxuriously scented, light yet nourishing dry body oil which leaves skin subtly scented and silky soft, made with 92% organic ingredients. The oil comes in a sleek,…
Do you like sheet masks? I do! Have you tried CHOBS sheet masks before? They’re fast becoming my favourite sheet masks yet. In case you haven’t heard of CHOBS before, they’re a South Korean organic and natural beauty company. CHOBS = Charm and Health Organic Beauty Store. K-Beauty is a real big thing right now, but it’s so hard to find natural and certified organic Korean beauty. This is why I love CHOBS so much. Their products are Ecocert and Cosmos certified, vegan, and cruelty-free. You can really trust the ingredients and formulations to be high quality and safe. The sheets themselves are pure Tencel sheets, made using sustainably sourced wood by environmentally responsible processes. Disclosure: I received CHOBS sheet masks to try by CHOBS, but my opinions are honest and my own. When I heard from CHOBS UK I was so honoured to be offered the chance to try their…
