I’m new to beauty subscription boxes – the LoveLula December 2017 Beauty Box is my first ever beauty box review. I was so excited to receive my box, and even more excited to share it with you! This gorgeous beauty box contains 8 natural beauty products and 3 full-sized products. The total value of the beauty box is £58, yet it costs just £13.95 as a subscriber. Disclosure: I received this box to review by LoveLula, but all my opinions are honest and my own. What’s in the LoveLula December 2017 Beauty Box? Mádara SOS Instant Moisture + Radiance Hydra Mask This gorgeous face mask from Latvian skincare company Mádara is ideal for harsh December weather. It’s an intensive treatment mask that wipes off, or is left on. I’ve also found it to be a very good winter barrier cream. This mask is great if you’re a busy mama who…

This post will help you choose the best natural beauty Christmas gifts for yourself or your loved ones. I would absolutely love to receive any of these fantastic natural beauty gifts! That’s because on Christmas morning, you can find me under the Christmas tree, smelling the outside of presents trying to find “the smellies” gift. I eagerly open it, only to be disappointed. It’s a beauty product I definitely wouldn’t use because it contains unhealthy ingredients. Sigh. It’s disheartening isn’t it? As happy as I am to receive a lovely gift, I feel so strongly about natural skincare I just can’t go back to using mainstream toiletries from big brands. I donate unwanted Christmas gifts to my favourite charity, as there will always be someone who does use these products and donating them ensures they don’t get wasted. Without further ado, let’s dive straight into my pick of natural beauty…

In this post, I’m reviewing the beautiful Weleda Nipple Balm. Weleda is my absolute favourite natural skincare brand. As a family, we use so many of their gorgeous natural beauty and baby care products. I was totally delighted to discover that the latest Weleda product is a nipple balm. Weleda is so supportive of the mother and baby journey, it’s really lovely. There’s a range of calendula bathing products, nursing oil, and tummy oil – and now this nipple balm helps to complete the range. Why do I need to use nipple balm? My baby is almost 16 months old – but recently my nipples have been damaged by Jonah’s teeth. He’s cutting four molars and four canines all at the same time. Biting isn’t really the problem, although he has clamped down on my nipple a couple of times. It’s the digging in of his teeth when he’s nursing…

Lavera Sensitive Toothpaste is one of my favourite natural toothpastes. Lavera say that it offers protection from tooth decay, naturally whitens teeth, and gives clean, mint-fresh breath. The toothpaste uses sea salt to clean the teeth thoroughly, yet gently, without harming dentine. There are several toothpastes in the Lavera Basis Sensitiv range – Classic, Organic Mint, and Kid’s varieties. This one is for those with sensitive teeth. As with other Lavera products, it’s Natrue certified. This is not a sensitive toothpaste that offers active protection from sensitivity, like a conventional sensitive toothpaste. These toothpastes contain an active ingredient, potassium nitrite, to seal holes in the dentine. Lavera Basis Sensitiv Toothpaste simply isn’t as abrasive as other natural toothpastes. Let’s have a look at the ingredients. Lavera Basis Sensitiv Sensitive Toothpaste ingredients Aqua, Sorbitol, Silica, Xylitol, Glycerin, Maris Sal, Betaine, CI 77891, Xanthan Gum, Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Algin, Chamomilla Recutita Flower…

We’ve been using Odylique Gentle Herb Shampoo for a couple of weeks now. I recently weaned my husband off Head and Shoulders and he did have a bit of a moan about this shampoo, with its lack of suds and sludgy appearance. Odylique claim it can be used on baby too, but since I’m still wading through a giant bottle of Weleda Calendula Shampoo and Body Wash for little J, I’ve yet to try it on him. The shampoo is suitable for problem scalps, although it didn’t make a lick of difference to the psoriasis on my scalp. As a result, I’ve given up hope of any external product helping with that! If you’re swapping from a shampoo with harsh detergents you may well see a difference in the condition of your scalp, because of all the scalp loving ingredients the shampoo contains. Let’s have a look at the beneficial…
