Have you ever felt trapped in a cycle of over-washing where you absolutely have to wash your hair every day? Not only that, but your hair doesn’t look that great for it? If your hair is defined by dry ends and greasy roots, then you’re going to love this natural and organic luxury haircare range from Tabitha James Kraan. It’s transformed the way I care for my hair!
Owned and run by Tabitha and Dennes James-Kraan, the multi-award winning system encourages proper cleansing and conditioning only 2 to 3 times a week, with dry shampoos in-between if needed. There’s also a fabulous hair oil for another level of nourishment.
There’s some solid wisdom behind the Tabitha James Kraan system.
Hair thrives when it is nurtured by nature.
Tabitha James Kraan believe that regular shampoos with harsh detergents trigger a cycle of over-washing. By replacing chemical cleansers with natural cleanser soapbark, and washing only 2 to 3 times a week, balance is restored and the cycle is broken.
Key ingredients include oat milk to soften the hair and heal scalp conditions, and aloe vera to provide moisture by penetrating the hair shaft. There’s also sea buckthorn and argan oils which provide essential proteins, omega oils, and vitamins. White tea and nettle enhance colour and texture, chestnut powder cleanses, and amethyst stone helps to calm the mind.
Tabitha’s love of vintage and metallic tones shows in the gorgeous eco-friendly containers.
Let’s take a closer look at a cleanser and conditioner from the range.
Tabitha James Kraan Organic Hair Cleanser
What’s the difference between a hair cleanser and a shampoo? Perhaps an attempt by TJK to differentiate a harsh stripping shampoo from a mild, sulfate-free, non-lathering shampoo such as this one.
Tabitha James Kraan describe it suitable for all hair types. Pure, balancing, and moisturising, with aloe vera, oat milk, organ oil, and essential oils of rose, patchouli, and ylang ylang – it smells amazing, warm and slightly floral. The scent lasts on hair too which is great as there’s no synthetic fragrance.
Dispense about 5 pumps into the hand and work well into the scalp. You can repeat if you wish but I don’t find it necessary.
I really love that it cleanses well and seems to soothe my scalp psoriasis. I highly recommend checking out the benefits – they’re very impressive and all true in my case.

Tabitha James Kraan 4-in-1 Organic Conditioner
This conditioner is a multi-use wonder, suitable for all hair types. It’s a regular conditioner, a luxury leave in treatment, a nourishing scalp cream, and a finishing cream to add texture and definition.
It uses oats and oils of rosehip, argan, coconut, rose, patchouli, neroli, chamomile, and ylang ylang for soft, fragrant, manageable hair without any build-up – and it’s silicone free!
Each pump dispenses a very small amount. This is helpful for styling, but not so helpful in the shower.
This is one of my favourite conditioners, it works so well for me. My hair is very fine, yet the conditioner never weighs it down, and the level of conditioning is just right.

Final thoughts on Tabitha James Kraan haircare
This is an amazing range of natural haircare products based on sound haircare wisdom from a true expert – effective, eco-friendly, and super-luxury!
What I really love about these products is that they continue to improve the hair over time. I’ve been using mine since May and I can honestly say there’s been a big improvement in the hydration and manageability of my hair. I used to use silicone-based conditioners and serums, but gave them up a few years ago and just put up with frizzy ends. Thankfully, my frizziness has improved since using TJK.
I really want to try the dry shampoo next!
Have you tried this brand? I’d love to hear your thoughts on the brand and products!

Oh, I actually have scalp psoriasis so I need to check this out. The smell sounds amazing too, I love anything with rose.
Oh it sounds perfect for you! I hope you get to try it.
I need to look into this. I agree that hair responds best to natural products.
Yes, I’ve found that mine does. My hair does like silicones, but I don’t like to use them as they’re synthetic.
This is great and very helpful! I can’t wait to try it.
I’m so pleased! Hope you enjoy! 🙂
I know I overwash my hair but it’s such a hard habit to break. This system looks like it would really make a difference!
It certainly is, it was easier for me as I have a new baby who wants my attention 😀
I love that it’s so gentle! I want to try the dry shampoo also!
Yes! I actually got some last week and it’s really good! Will be reviewing it soon.
Natural haircare is my favorite I’ll have to check it out.
Brilliant, me too 🙂
These sound such lovely products and right up my street! I don’t wash my hair everyday, but In honesty I do prefer freshly washed hair. It picks up cooking smells and just ends up manky *reaches for dry shampoo. I’d love to know how you get on with the dry shampoo from this range if you do go
ahead and try it! Fab post. x

Thanks so much Samantha! I love the freshly washed feeling too. But if I blow dry and tongs everyday I’m in trouble, lol. I actually got some last week so will let you know what I think. First impressions good! Xx
