December 2019 natural beauty empties

Hi natural beauty lover! I can’t wait to share with you my December 2019 natural beauty empties with you! I hope you had a lovely Christmas? We had a nice quiet relaxing time with family. This time of year is such a time for reflection and renewal, I love it.

And in my final post of the decade, I present to you a varied and interesting selection of natural skincare and beauty empties. You’ll find vitamin C serum, gel cleanser, hand balm, moisturising lipstick, eye treatment cream, natural shampoo, massage oil, lip balm, and more!

My photography in this post is so dark, there’s been little sun here in north east England!

Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum

Heading towards 40 I was eager to introduce a vitamin C serum to my anti-ageing routine. See my post on getting started with a vitamin C serum.

Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum

I found Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum on the recommendation of the lovely Kari on her blog. After an initial settling in period, my skin took to it really well. I love that it contains not just a stable form of vitamin C, but also vitamin E, ferulic acid, and hyaluronic acid. A definite repurchase!

Antipodes Juliet Gel Cleanser

This is a gorgeous gel cleanser from Antipodes Skincare. With superfruit kiwi and hibiscus flower, it’s great for skin with breakouts; oily, combination, or normal skin.

Antipodes Juliet Gel Cleanser

It claims to balance oil and have a brightening effect, which the ingredients support. However it’s hard for me to say whether it’s had a brightening effect on my skin. I think the results would be mild since it’s a wash-off product.

My favourite aspect of this cleanser is how clean my skin feels after using it. The scent is absolutely divine, rich and fruity. On the downside, it is quite messy and I often find a glob of brown goo in the shower from the bottle.

The Rose Tree Soothing Hand Balm

This brand is epitomised by soft, sumptuous skincare products that soothe the mind and body.

The Rose Tree Soothing Hand Balm

The hand balm is a little bit of calm in a jar that leaves hands silky and smelling wonderful. I recommend it in my natural beauty stocking fillers.

NATorigin Lipstick in Papaya

I selected this lipstick as part of my hunt to replace my MAC Vegas Volt lipstick.

NATorigin Lipstick

It’s incredibly easy to wear – very moisturising, well pigmented, and easy to apply. Definitely recommend this if you fancy trying a lip product between a tinted lip balm and lipstick.

Lumen Vitae Primal Light Eye Treatment

I reviewed Lumen Vitae skincare in an earlier post. A wonderful family-founded natural skincare brand with products to make a real difference to your skin.

Lumen Vitae Primal Light Eye Treatment

Primal Light really inspired me to use an eye cream again. I love how light yet hydrating it is. The ingredients include arnica to combat dark circles, and French brown algae to lift lines.

Poapoa Natural Shampoo

A conscious natural soap brand making a real difference.

Poapoa Natural Shampoo

Poapoa Natural Shampoo is refreshing and cleansing – a top product with my husband. Read my full review of Poapoa.

Essential Care Labour Massage Oil

This was unopened in my oil collection from around 2016. It’s discontinued now!

Crazy Rumors Hot Cocoa Lip Balm

This came in a LoveLula box and I was really grateful for a chance to try Crazy Rumors. These lip balms get a lot of love and there are so many kinds to choose from.

Crazy Rumors Hot Cocoa Lip Balm

Hot Cocoa is such a great lip balm for winter, it’s a little bit of decadence!

Aronia Original 100% Pure Aronia Juice

Kindly gifted by Omninatural, I was pleased to be introduced to this interesting drink for its beautifying and flu protection promises!

Aronia Original 100% Pure Aronia Juice

Apparently its high polyphenol content helps fight oxidative stress and helps the skin in its regeneration. It would be nice to include this drink in a skincare routine.

I also used up Westlab Epsom Salts, but didn’t take a picture. Pick up a bag at your local “variety” shop – it’s a relaxing and soothing bath experience, and costs so little to do.

Final thoughts on December 2019 natural beauty empties

It’s so satisfying to finish up every last drop of a natural beauty product. I really enjoyed these empties!

Next month I have some special skincare to share from Tamaar Skincare and Native Essentials. Also, I’m talking about stabilised vitamin C serums and why you should include them in your natural skincare routine. Why not subscribe to stay in touch?

What did you use up in December? Let me know in the comments.

Until next time!

Helen

    1. Haha! Look into retinol based products, they can help build new collagen and have the most research behind them. And of course use sunscreen daily!
