Welcome back, beauty friend! And welcome to my April 2020 natural beauty empties. April was a great month for empties! I had chance to use up many more products because my husband is working from home and I have a little bit more time in the morning. Coronavirus lockdown – there are some benefits.
Not only that, but I’ve been shopping my stash every week. This month I wanted to focus on using up my sample collection. The ultimate goal is to reduce the number of these little sachets coming in. Sample sachets are a terrible waste of packaging – there are better ways to get samples!
So, future thinking applied. But a lot of my samples were running out of date, and I didn’t want to waste them. So I’ve been living like I’m on holiday, with lots of variety – it’s been fun!
I also have lots of full size products to share too. And I know it looks like a lot of products to use in a month, but remember that I opened some of these products 2 years ago!
So let’s get started on my April 2020 natural beauty empties! There’s so much to cover – from the gorgeous Antipodes Lime & Patchouli Cleanser, to night serum, body wash, glycolic night cream, and more! I suggest you grab a tea, coffee, or a cheeky vino – this is going to be a long one!

Antipodes Hallelujah Lime & Patchouli Cleanser
This gorgeous cleanser has been making my day since I chose it as my reward for being a helpful member of the LoveLula Natural Beauty Club. I really love the feel of it on my skin, and the fragrant lime and patchouli essential oils that uplift and refresh the senses.
It’s a really effective cream cleanser, on par with balm and oil cleansers at shifting makeup as the first part of a double cleanse.
As for the ingredients, organic avocado oil gently but deeply cleanses, and carrot seed oil improves the overall health of skin. This cleanser is so good! I’d buy Hallelujah over and over again!

J Botanics Age Defy Night Serum
This night serum from family-run brand J Botanics won my heart straight away. It’s like a comforting pillow of hydration, plumping lines and softening skin while loading it with antioxidants.
And the brand has a kind heart – a portion of every sale goes to children’s cancer charities. Definitely consider J Botanics for healthy skincare for parents and children.
Poapoa Natural Body Wash
If you like skincare to make a real difference to the lives of people who produce it, you should consider Poapoa! They make soap and bath products using raw ingredients where workers have been paid a fair price for their skills.
This earthy body wash is highly concentrated – it lasted me months and I’ve enjoyed every drop.
Lumen Vitae Moonlight Night Cream
Elegant and healthy Lumen Vitae skincare offer a complete range of natural products suitable for all skin types and concerns.
Moonlight is a soft and pillowy night cream with exfoliating glycolic acid to gently remove dead skin cells for a brighter, refreshed complexion.
Mill Creek Botanicals Biotene H-24 Conditioner
Earlier this year, I reviewed Mill Creek Botanicals Biotene H-24 Shampoo & Conditioner. I promised to update you when I reached the end of the bottles as to whether they give thicker, fuller hair in the long-term.
I’d say, yes! But there’s a but. I think the effect is cosmetic. With the next wash using a different shampoo and conditioner, the effect is lost. I did find my hair was fuller and thicker, but at the expense of softness and silkiness. We can’t have it all, can we? It’s good to know that supplementing with biotin, whether through food or skincare, only really works if you’re deficient – you can’t grow extra hair by taking more.

Butterwhips Scrummy Yummy Baby Butter
This was a lovely gift from Butterwhips when Cara was born. We really love the soft melting texture and baby soft natural fragrance.
Slather it on sore bums, give a relaxing baby massage, or drop a bit in the bath – it’s all good for both mother and baby!
Naissance Peppermint Essential Oil
Naissance is such a fantastic resource for natural beauty lovers! It’s a treasure trove of high quality carrier oils, essential oils, and raw ingredients.
I’ve used this peppermint oil for all kinds of things beauty and home – ant repellant, mixed with carrier oil as a foot soak, or inhaled from a tissue to soothe cold and flu symptoms.

Weleda White Mallow Nappy Change Cream
Love this fabulously soothing nappy cream. As parents, we turn to it again and again to take away redness and irritation.
Weleda White Mallow Nappy Cream uses zinc oxide to soak up excess moisture and calm the skin. White mallow soothes and stops the formula from drying out skin.

Kit & Kin Stretch Mark Oil
I featured this fragrant massage oil in my pregnancy natural beauty tips back when I was expecting Cara.
I love the handy spray bottle and the formulation of 15 nourishing oils to boost skin elasticity including strawberry seed oil, mandarin and neroli. It smells absolutely lush! Great whether you’re expecting or not!

Mia & Dom Soothing Nipple Balm
When Cara was born, I was so kindly sent this balm by Pure Skin Lab. Unfortunately, this beautiful brand is no longer available. You can see it on LoveLula, but I think they’ve sadly gone away for good.
I actually used this balm as a hand and cuticle balm, and it does really well as a regular balm wherever you want to use it. It’s a great non-lanolin alternative to other nipple balms.
Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream
As I’ve mentioned in previous empties posts, I’m still working through some Burt’s Bees products with the intention of not buying again.
I’m still unsure of their animal testing status in China. It’s a shame since this is a lovely zesty cuticle balm that really does help tatty cuticles!

Weleda Pomegranate Creamy Body Wash Travel Size
You really can’t go wrong with Weleda’s creamy body washes. The pomegranate range smells absolutely divine.
Creamy, refreshing, and non-drying with a gorgeous natural fragrance that uplifts and soothes.
Weleda Pomegranate Creamy Body Wash
Weleda Pomegranate Body Lotion Travel Size
Same goes for the body lotion! I’ve always loved Weleda – they’re one of the first natural beauty brands I tried.
As you can see I wanted every last drop out of this lovely body lotion!
Weleda Pomegranate Body Lotion
The Handmade Soap Co. Body Lotion Travel Size
This cute little travel sized body lotion came as part of a travel set that I recommended as a Christmas gift.
It’s such a zesty and bright body lotion, and works really well to keep dry skin at bay.
