To my dear Cara
Happy birthday, my beautiful eldest daughter! We’re so proud of the girl that you have become. You’re practical, capable, and physically strong and able. You have a lot of courage and you’re always the first to try something out.

But more than that, you’re caring, warm and affectionate. I love our cuddles together and you’re the first to hug me when you can see I’m feeling low.
Your infectious laugh pulls everybody in, and you make everyone welcome once you’ve let them in your circle.
So let’s learn a little more about your year.
Loving Your Siblings

Your relationship with your siblings continues to flourish – and it’s so beautiful! I love watching you share your computer game wins with Jonah. And your imaginary games with Lydia are quite amazing. You care for dolls, build forts, and create dream worlds together.
Lost Your First Tooth

This year, your first few teeth came out, but some not in the best of circumstances! First, the bottom two came out and you were visited by the tooth fairy.
Next, you lost a top tooth. But, this happened because you fell into a wall walking home from school and knocked your front tooth out. Thank goodness it was a baby tooth. I wanted to wrap you in cotton wool. But you made a speedy recovery!
You Went Into Year 1

And with you, some lovely friends and playmates. School is more of a struggle for you than most, reading and writing don’t come naturally yet. But you are putting in so much effort, and both your reading and writing have improved so much since you started school. I’m so proud of you for that!
And I love seeing the art you bring home, and the photos that school post of you enjoying your day.
Started Riding a Bike and a Scooter

I love watching you practise on your bike and scooter! I’d love for us to make more time for this in the coming year.
In Fact, You Love Movement in all its Forms

And it’s a joy to watch you dance. You’re so entertaining and I love making videos of your dance clips for us to watch again later.
Started Playing Roblox
Your brother loves playing Roblox, and you have started to love playing it too. You dress your characters in really sassy clothes and explore the environments of the game.

Despite loving computer games, you still love outdoor play, Squishmallows, colouring, drawing, slime, and everything else that 6 year olds love.

Cara, I’m wishing you a happy birthday and I’m so excited for another year together – my caring and brave girl.

All my love, mummy xx
