I’ve been using Green People Day Solution for perhaps five years now. It is a staple in my natural skincare routine, along with Green People Gentle Cleanse and Makeup Remover, and Green People Foaming Face Wash.
As with all Green People products, it’s certified organic, and in fact has 88% organic ingredients.
The moisturiser is certified by Non Food Certification Company (NFCC).
Who should use Green People Day Solution?
Green People describe Day Solution as being light and balancing, which I would say is an accurate description.
My skin is best described as combination – it suffers both dryness and greasiness, and is prone to hormonal breakouts. I simply can’t use overly-rich face creams as I get very oily and my breakouts get worse. At the same time, my skin gets quite dry, especially on my forehead. So I really need something non-greasy, non comedogenic, yet moisturising.
Tough call, isn’t it?
Yet, Green People Day Solution works so well on my combination skin. I think it would also work well for normal skin. People with dry skin would definitely need something richer.
Both myself and my husband use the moisturiser daily. My husband’s flaky skin has entirely cleared since using it – he swears by it. And since the packaging and scent appeal to both sexes, he’s quite happy using it!
Let’s have a look at the beneficial ingredients.
Green People Day Solution ingredients

If you experience spots or acne (which I do, especially once a month), prebiotics can be a helpful addition to your daily skincare routine. Prebiotics ‘feed’ good bacteria (probiotics) to ensure that bad bacteria are kept in check.

According to Green People, willow bark extract works to fight acne, irritation and inflammation. Willow bark extract contains salicylic acid which exfoliates dead skin cells. It also contains flavonoids and tannins, which provide antioxidant benefits, helping to shield skin from external pollutants.

Day Solution contain bromelain – pineapple enzymes that break down dry skin, and help to control breakouts.
Pineapple is high in antioxidant vitamin C. It can brighten dark spots and reduce the look of wrinkles.
One of the best herbs for all round healthy skin. Chamomile is anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal.
Chamomile is a traditional remedy that has been in use for a long time. For this reason, it’s one of the few herbs whose efficacy has been rigorously studied.
In trials, chamomile was 60% as effective as hydrocortisone cream at healing contact dermatitis.
Green People use organic, freeze-dried aloe vera. On their Beauty Hub, they note that aloe vera has 75 nutrients, 20 minerals, 12 vitamins, 18 amino acids, and 200 active enzymes. This impressive nutritional profile is what makes skin treated with aloe vera heal faster.
Aloe vera helps the skin to retain moisture, yet it’s not at all greasy – making it a great choice for moisturising combination skin.

Green People use rose geranium in several of their skincare products, including their Gentle Cleanse and Makeup Remover.
It’s such a great oil to use on the skin since it’s anti-inflammatory, helps cells to renew, controls greasy skin, and helps with dry skin conditions like eczema.
Amazingly, rose geranium can improve the look of wrinkles, and is used in treating depression.
Using Green People Day Solution
Day Solution is a thick, yellow-white cream in a pump dispenser. I find one pump is more than enough for the face and neck area. I don’t like dipping my fingers into cream, so I prefer this dispensing method.
The cream doesn’t take long to sink in, and doesn’t feel greasy.
It smells like rose geranium, which I find really nurturing and comforting.
How effective is Green People Day Solution?
The effectiveness of face cream is a very personal thing and depends on skin type, the season, and personal preferences.
The benefits for my skin when using Green People Day Solution are:
- My skin feels well hydrated and the effect lasts all day
- I have soft and smooth skin after using it
- It controls my breakouts whilst still moisturising
- I don’t get flaky skin any more since using it
- It doesn’t leave a shiny look to my skin
- The cream provides a great base for mineral foundation – my makeup doesn’t slide off after use

Final thoughts on Green People Day Solution
Green People Day Solution is an amazing moisturiser. It controls breakouts with the wonderful benefits of prebiotics, willow bark, and pineapple.
Aloe vera heals and moisturises without grease. Rose geranium beautifies the skin, controls inflammation, and adds a luxury natural scent to the moisturiser. All my needs in a moisturiser are addressed by Green People Day Solution – it helps control my spots and has kept my skin free of flakiness. I love it!
Now that I’m not earning a full-time wage, this cream does seem expensive compared with some others. However, it’s certainly great value for money, which is why I keep using it.
