This soothing, calming and antioxidant rich CBD based skincare range is a real treat you should know about! As a long time admirer, I have good experience of the range and its effects on my skin.

So, before we dive into these products, shall we quickly remind ourselves what is CBD, and why would we use it in skincare? Let’s do it!
What is CBD?
CBD is short for cannabidiol, a compound naturally present in the hemp plant. CBD does not cause the high associated with the cannabis plant. In fact, THC, the compound that causes the high, is minimised in CBD products to trace amounts.

Sounds good doesn’t it? Shall we now take a look at the Holland and Barrett CBD Skincare I’ve been using for the past few months?

First up, and perhaps my favourite Holland and Barrett CBD product is this lightweight and refreshing CBD Day Serum. I’m on to my second bottle of this now, which is rare for me as I like to try lots of new serums and rarely come back to them!
Holland and Barrett describe this vegan serum as super concentrated to give the skin a moisture boost.
It contains both CBD and nourishing hemp seed oils, which the brand claim will help to regulate the skin’s oil production despite your skin type. I love that it contains soothing aloe too. The serum is said to reduce the effects of inflammation, and is okay to use if you have problem skin.
Housed in a glass bottle with dropper, it’s mostly recyclable, too!
I absolutely love this serum! From the creamy, pearly texture, to the bright light natural fragrance containing ylang ylang and bergamot, and of course the soothing and calming daily moisture it brings.
In fact, I actually use it twice a day and not just in the morning. Because in the evening, I like my serum to bring about calm and hydration – and Holland and Barrett CBD Serum does just that. Also, if I’ve overdone acid toners or retinol, this is the serum I reach for! It’s so calming – bringing down any redness and tightness.
For the price, this serum is a real gem and definitely worth a try!
Overall verdict: a calming, soothing, and moisturising serum that’s great value for money.

Holland & Barrett CBD Day Cream
Next up is the wonderfully moisturising Holland and Barrett CBD Day Cream. Just like the serum, the Day Cream contains both CBD and hemp oil to regulate oil production while offering a boost of youth thanks to its concentration of antioxidants. It’s suitable for all skin types.
The Day Cream is 100% vegan and comes in a recyclable glass jar with aluminium lid. Scooping the white cream from the jar, I love the refreshing scent that’s very similar to the serum.
Applying the cream, I find that the texture is light yet beautifully rich. The cream sinks in fast and leaves a natural finish with a hint of moisturising oil to keep my skin soft all day. My skin looks plump and hydrated and I love how the cream works so well with the rest of my skincare routine.
Using Holland and Barrett CBD Day Cream, it’s great to know that my skin is so well protected against premature ageing. And I should add, at £14.99 the price is incredible for CBD skincare!
Overall verdict: intense moisture for all skin types with a youth boost thanks to CBD and moisture regulating hemp seed oil.

Holland & Barrett CBD Night Cream
Completing the range, Holland and Barrett CBD Night Cream is everything I want from a night cream. Deeply moisturising, long lasting, and not too stimulating before bed!
The Night Cream does feel very similar to the Day Cream in its colour, texture, and fragrance. However it’s richer than the Day Cream, enriched with lovely nourishing shea butter to boost the skin’s uptake of vitamins and fatty acids throughout the night.
It’s also vegan, housed in glass, and applies in very much the same way as the Day Cream.
My skin feels so soft and nourished when I wake!
Overall verdict: a nourishing CBD night cream to leave the skin moisturised, well cared for, and protected in the long term.

Final thoughts on Holland & Barrett CBD Skincare
I really can’t get enough of Holland and Barrett CBD Skincare! This is basic skincare done right – and with all the benefits the hemp plant has to offer. The range is incredibly good value for money and is a fabulous place to start if you’re new to CBD skincare!
