Hello again, lover of empties! And welcome to my August 2021 natural beauty empties.
Advert: this post contains references to PR gifted products. My views are honest and my own. May contain affiliate links.
August has been a quiet month for blogging as I wind down towards the end of my pregnancy with our third child. But I still have a ton of empties for you, as my skin needs extra care during pregnancy.
In August I used up a sumptuous night cream for hands, kombucha power toner, and a eucalyptus body wash. Plus a £155 facial serum – is it worth it? And for the littles, body wash and hand sanitiser foam.
Shall we take a look at them all in more detail now? Let’s do it!
August 2021 natural beauty empties
Kiss The Moon Love Night Cream for Hands
Without a doubt, Kiss The Moon Love Night Cream for Hands is a holy grail product for me.
It’s so silky and fragrant and perfect to use just before bed or if waking in the night. The fragrances of rose and ylang ylang are so comforting and really help to relax the mind before bed.

Youth to the People Kombucha 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner
This AHA toner from Youth the the People combines the power lactic and glycolic acids along with prebiotic ferments to bring a beautiful glow with no manual scrubbing.
I found it so easy to slide into my routine, although a little strong to use daily, it wasn’t irritating and I found myself with glowing skin with regular use.

Plant Apothecary Be Well Body Wash Eucalyptus and Bergamot
The star of the month’s empties photo for so many reasons. Be Well Body Wash contains essential oils traditionally used to boost the immune system. Eucalyptus and bergamot are both bracing and refreshing, yet this body wash doesn’t overwhelm at all. In fact, it’s a really lovely daily pick me up.
I also love the concentrated formula and tiny bottle that fits so neatly in my shower caddy.
Noelie by BK Ultra Lift Boost Complex
This serum was so kindly gifted by a friend. When I researched it, I nearly fell off my chair. It costs three times what I would normally pay for a facial serum – available for £165.
It’s described as an exclusive, bioactive active ingredient mix for renewed energy and moisture, and recommended to intensively regenerate and increase suppleness and hydration.
I did find this serum to deeply hydrate my skin but I didn’t see any noticeable improvements in the month it took me to use it up. The scent is slightly like fermented sugar beets, and quite unusual. However, it’s not a serum I would buy again due to the price and also because I didn’t hear back from the brand on questions I had regarding the product, either.

Odylique 3 in 1 Maca Mask
How I love this simple and effective little mask! I featured it in my favourite natural face masks. This is a customisable powder face mask, and I love the delicately minty fragrance, plus how it can be tailored to suit my skin’s needs.
With green and white mineral clays to deeply cleanse, and maca and baobab fruit to recharge the skin with vital vitamins and minerals, it also contains sugar cane and organic oats to gently exfoliate. A definite repurchase!

Black Palm Moonage Daydream Facial Moisturiser
Black Balm Natural Cosmetics is one of my favourite skincare finds of 2021. This moisturiser is so nourishing and soothing whether using in the morning or evening.
With frankincense and neroli, my skin is left soft, smooth, and comfortable after each use.

Antipodes Grace Gentle Cream Cleanser & Makeup Remover
Antipodes make such lovely skincare products focusing on natural ingredients from their native New Zealand.
Grace is a pure, gentle, and soothing cream cleanser that works just as hard as a balm or oil cleanser to dissolve grime and makeup and leave skin soft and comfortable. A definite favourite!

Artio Skincare Kids’ Wash
The Artio Skincare Kids’ Wash is so gentle and nourishing for young skins, but in fact is suitable for the entire family.
It contains wild-harvested Moroccan oil and vitamin E to care for the skin. I also love that my kids find the pump so easy to use and can wash their hands independently.

#LipGlam 100% Natural Lip Balm
This simple yet effective lip balm contains just 2 ingredients – lanolin and argan oil for deeply moisturised and protected lips – and anywhere else you need it.
It was one of the finalists in the lip category for the 2020 CertClean Clean Beauty Awards.

Terra Seaweed Face Cream
I shared my thoughts on Terra over on my Instagram last December.
This cream is so beautiful and pillowy! It’s probably best suited to dry skin or winter use, but using only a small amount daily means soft and hydrated skin for me. The packaging is beautiful, too!

Black Palm Moonage Daydream Sandalwood Facial Toner
Another gorgeous product from Black Palm – this facial toner with sandalwood.
It’s a really nice spritz spray to cleanse the atmosphere while bringing a sense of grounding and refreshing the skin.

Scrubbingtons Bug Off Moisturising Hand Sanitiser Foam
We really love Scrubbingtons – such cool funky products that enable kids to clean themselves while protecting their delicate skin.
This hand sanitiser was a real winner! The foam is easier for kids to use since it doesn’t drip off like a gel or get in their eyes like a spray. The smell is gorgeous, too!

Honestly Bare Skincare Cocoa Hand Butter
What a beautifully melting hand butter from Honestly Bare. I reviewed it in full over on my Instagram so do take a look for my full thoughts.
In a nutshell – I love it! Check out Honestly Bare’s Etsy store for more skincare treats.

Botanico Vida Omega Oil
This Botanico Vida Omega Oil has to be the perfect massage oil during pregnancy. According to the brand, their oil is the only 100% natural and clinically proven stretch mark, dry skin, and scar treatment on the market.
I love how moisturised and supple my skin feels after using this oil, and the refreshing lemon fragrance is a perfect natural pick me up.

Alteya Organics Diaper Rash Cream
Oh the life we’ve had out of this lovely nappy rash cream from Alteya Organics! My son used it, and my daughter used it too.
Now they’re both (mostly) out of nappies and we used it up on rashes and stings. It smells amazing and I feel it helps soothe and heal my children’s skin.

Weleda Agrume Fragrance
It’s such a shame that these lovely fragrances are discontinued by Weleda. They’re the perfect natural fragrance to use in pregnancy.
Agrume was light, refreshing, yet more long lasting than a body spray. For the next closest thing, I recommend looking at the Weleda Sea Buckthorn range or deodorant range.
Weleda Deodorants
Tisserand Lavender & Chamomile Bath Oil
This pampering bath oil from Tisserand came in the Ecocobox subscription box for mums and babies.
You don’t need me to tell you how bath oils are really helpful in pregnancy for all over moisturising, especially for hard to reach areas!

KEEP COOL Soothe Phyto Green Cleansing Water
KEEP COOL Soothe Phyto Green Cleansing Water is a really gentle Korean micellar water that cleanses without irritating the skin. I don’t try to remove makeup with this – I just use it for morning cleansing followed by a brief splash of water.
While I wouldn’t consider it natural – it contains PEGs – it does contain some very lovely natural ingredients such as green tea, bamboo, and centella asiatica.
Sante Balm Care Hair Mousse
Perhaps one of the oldest products in my collection! It’s not that it wasn’t good, it was! As both a mousse and a care product with moisturising moringa.
However, it’s been discontinued now so I’ve linked to the next closest Sante product below.
Sophie the Giraffe Baby Oil and Face Cream
I admit to finishing these on my kids behalf. Despite the name of my blog, my kids actually use very little skincare as they have no skin problems. Aside from sunscreen of course – they use plenty of that!
I think Sophie the Giraffe skincare is sadly discontinued now, which is a shame as they’d make such lovely nursery gifts. But if you’re looking for children’s skincare including baby oil and face cream, I can’t recommend Weleda highly enough!
