For the last few weeks I’ve been using a wonderful face oil that’s quite different to other face oils I’ve used until now. Introducing Beauty Sleep Elixir – Beuti Skincare’s flagship face oil.

Beauty Sleep Elixir has a natural blend of 14 plant-based oils, including a Caribbean coral extract, which is a powerful anti-inflammatory as it neutralises the enzyme responsible for skin ageing, plus a sandalwood nut kernel oil to help prevent collagen and elastin break down.

The Duchess of Cambridge used it during her hospital stay while having her second son (source). As most mamas know, going through labour along with a stay in hospital can certainly upset your skin. Clever Kate knows that a face oil will help her look and feel better. This is especially good for her given the scrutiny the royal receives when she steps out of hospital!

PS, if you’re looking for other hospital bag essentials < head this way.

Since this is my first time using Beuti Skincare, let’s have a look at this brand.

Beuti was founded by Leila Aalam, an experienced aesthetician looking for results driven, healthy, yet affordable skincare. An allergic reaction to a skincare product motivated Leila to create her own skincare line. Beuti was born to heal, nourish, and treat sensitive skin issues for supple, smooth, and glowing skin. The brand stands for skincare with anti-inflammation at the heart, with proven actives to deliver results.

Let’s now take a look at the claims made by this fabulous natural oil.

Supporting skin barrier function, Beauty Sleep Elixir is packed with antioxidants from seed and fruit oils that work to combat redness and inflammation. The oils include camellia oil and seed oils from chia, bitter cherry, strawberry, pomegranate, blueberry, cranberry, and raspberry. There’s also sea buckthorn fruit berry oil, and lavender, geranium, and neroli essential oils. The oil is 98% organic.

Interestingly, the oil contains Caribbean coral extract (sea whip), a powerful anti-inflammatory which neutralises the enzyme responsible for skin ageing. Don’t worry, it’s harvested from sustainable sources.

The sandalwood oil used in the formulation helps to prevent collagen and elastin break down.

Despite the name, Beauty Sleep Elixir can be used day or night. At night, it works to support skin’s renewal system with vitamins, minerals, and a complete range of omega oils including 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9 for glowing morning skin.

In the day, it works as a brightening pre-makeup primer and treatment for pesky skin breakouts.

My experience using Beauty Sleep Elixir

Beauty Sleep Elixir comes in a pretty frosted glass bottle with a dropper. The colour is beautiful deep orange.

Drops of Beauty Sleep Elixir

So I dispense 4 drops in my PM routine and 2 drops in my AM routine. The fragrance is cheerful – berry fruit, slightly floral, and citrus. The feel is silky and light. This is not a heavy oil.

After application the oil sinks in quickly and leaves a non-shiny glowing finish. My fine lines and wrinkles are minimised by this oil.

And let’s talk about hormonal spots that pop up at the time of the month. Yup, Aunt Flo returned this month since having my daughter November last year, yet this oil controlled my breakout perfectly.

Read on to learn the ingredients plus my final verdict on Beauty Sleep Elixir.

Final thoughts on Beauty Sleep Elixir

I’m really enjoying this unique and anti-inflammatory oil as part of my skincare routine. I love that it reduces inflammation from spots while keeping my skin nourished, soft, and smooth. I really like the unique ingredients I haven’t found in another skincare product, like Softalia and sea whip.

So is it worth the hype? My skin looks and feels great, and if it’s good for Kate, I’m all for it!

Natural and affordable face oil Beauty Sleep Elixir was said to have been used by Kate Middleton during her hospital stay. But is it as good as it's made out to be? #faceoil #naturalfaceoil
