This month I finished up a well-loved grapefruit perfume that’s been in my collection for at least six years, a sumptuous radiance boosting face cream, multi-tasking facial oil, and much more.
I hope you enjoy my February 2021 natural beauty empties!

Love & Toast Sugar Grapefruit Perfume
I’m not too sure about the green creds of this fragrance, although I’ve read that it’s organic and somewhat clean. But I loved it so much – it definitely deserves the top spot in my empties. Margot Elena creates such beautiful brands with artful designs that are easy to fall in love with.
And it was certainly love between us, with the pretty design of the bottle and the beautiful notes of pink grapefruit, orange citrus, warm musk, and lily.
It made an essential purchase maybe six years ago or more when I saw some research that grapefruit fragrance makes a woman appear more youthful to men. Yes, I’m probably silly for buying into this one! But I had to test the hypothesis, of course!
To me, the scent is somewhat sharp and not very complicated. Perfect for light breezy days hanging out with the kids who don’t want to be over-perfumed. And it was with sadness I noticed that this perfume was starting to change, so I decided to make an effort to use it up. Unfortunately, it’s not available any more, but I have a tiny squirt left in the bottle should I ever need a fix.
Now to find a new grapefruit fragrance that ticks my green boxes! Happy to hear your recommendations in the comments.

The Rose Tree Radiance Face Cream
This is one of my all-time favourite moisturisers. It’s so rich, silky, and hydrating for skin in need of a boost!
I featured it in my Christmas Gift Guide 2019 and have been savouring it ever since!

Pamoja Restore Multi-purpose Beauty Oil
I really enjoyed this mini face oil from Pamoja, described as a gentle yet potent oil for skin, hair and nails.
With nourishing Columbian Kahai™ oil and organic sacha inchi, and the fragrance is a real treat, with vetiver and sandalwood.

Purdy & Figg Hand Sanitisers
The delightful Purdy & Figg Hand Sanitisers have been an amazing discovery and really turned my idea of what a hand sanitiser should be upside down!
This month I finished off Charlotte’s Floral and Citrus. I still have another bottle left in my stash to enjoy!

Green People Nordic Roots Hyaluronic Booster Serum
I wasn’t sold on this basic but effective hyaluronic serum at first, but it gradually won over my heart. I reached for it way more than I imagined I would and find its comforting texture and fragrance-free formula very soothing indeed.
A really lovely serum to bring a hydration boost to any skincare routine.

Inika Organic Phytofuse Renew Resveratrol Serum
I love everything about Inika Resveratrol Serum – the packaging, the texture, and the fragrance which is smoky and rosy. It comes with a stack of benefits including collagen boosting, firming, and anti-ageing, and contains a whopping 14 precious botanical oils.
I couldn’t say whether I noticed a huge difference in my skin from using the serum, but it certainly did what a good serum should, such as boosting moisture, and temporarily softening fine lines. I think I’d like to try it again to see the long-term benefits!

Alteya Organics Centifolia Rose Water
Alteya Organics make the most beautiful rose waters, and this one is no exception.
I like to always have some handy for soothing, hydrating, and to mix with powder masks.

Benecos Winter Dream Shower Gel

Organii Cream Soap Verbena & Lemon
These soaps are a great plastic free alternative to liquid soaps. They’re fruity, gentle, and long lasting.
This verbena and lemon soap is so refreshing, and makes hand washing a delight.

Eco by Sonya Glory Lips Lip Balm
This interesting lip balm was a contender in the Clean Beauty Awards 2019 where I was on the judging panel for lip care.
What I love most about about this lip balm is the chunky format. And actually, it was great for my daughter, who is only 2, to handle and apply herself. It makes a great balm stick for dry parts of the body. The coconut and mango flavour is nice, too!

Dr Botanicals Hemp Moisturiser
A nice light moisturiser for days when you don’t need anything too heavy. It came in the LoveLula September 2020 box. The fragrance is so delicate and refreshing. I think this moisturiser with balancing hemp seed oil would work best for oily and combination skins.
I’m not sure why, but Dr Botanicals is no longer available on LoveLula.

Sukin Natural Deodorant Ocean Mist
This refreshing spray-on deodorant mist has the delicate fragrance of violets. Zinc phenolsulfonate helps to prevent bacteria growth.
However, it’s the kind of deodorant you would need to apply again later in the day to stay odour free.

Urban Veda Soothing Facial Oil
I enjoyed this spicy facial oil from Urban Veda. I don’t think I would buy it again because although the fragrance is absolutely beautiful, it’s a little too powerful for me in a facial oil.
But I love the ingredients including carrot seed and patchouli oils, and of course Ayurvedic skincare tailored to one’s “dosha” is super appealing!

Antipodes Rejoice Light Facial Day Cream
I really love Antipodes skincare, but this trial sized cream didn’t win me over. The let down is in the application. Firstly, it has quite a strong fragrance of cinnamon and vanilla, which is almost animalistic.
And I also found it hard to apply. The cream would smear over my face and sit there for some time until I had to rub it in with pressure. Once on, it moisturises just fine. But application is really important to me. What a shame, because I love so many other Antipodes products!

Lime & Lilac Light Face Oil sample
This is a really lovely neroli and frankincense facial oil designed to increase cell renewal and collagen production.
I’d really like to try more from Lime & Lilac!
Martina Gebhardt Salvia Face Lotion & Mask samples
Really enjoyed these little samples that came with my package from Martina Gebhardt.
Even though intended for oily skin, I found they did a great job brightening and softening my skin. They smell so natural too!

I haven’t heard of some of these products. But they sounds so nice. I love the packaging as well. Thanks for sharing.
Does the lime and lilac face oil have a scent or is it super mild?
It’s fragranced with neroli and frankincense essential oils, it’s really lovely. Not too strong.
