Welcome back, lover of beauty! Today I’d like to chat about a well loved brand that’s taken me way too long to try – it’s Nourish London skincare!

I’ve known about this brand for a while – they’re one of a handful of natural beauty brands to sell in major retailers and are the darlings of many of my influencer friends on Instagram.

My heart leapt when the brand offered me the chance to try their products! Of course I fell over myself for the chance.

Who are Nourish? This British organic skincare company quite rightly believe that healthy skin is beautiful skin.

Offering scientifically crafted, highly effective, organic, vegan & cruelty-free skincare powered by ingredients from nature.

In the range you will find face, body, and wellbeing products independently certified by the Soil Association and Soil Association COSMOS Organic.

Created by Dr Pauline Hili, a renowned expert in organic skincare with over 30 years experience, Nourish Skincare London is the natural beauty line with kindness at the heart of everything they do. Not only is the entire line 100% vegan and cruelty free, but the brand uses responsible packaging and supports fair trade, too.

I tried three products from Nourish – the Kale 3D Cleanse, Protect Replenishing Peptide Serum, and Radiance Firming Facial Oil.

Shall we find out how we all got on? Let’s do it!

Nourish London Skincare

Kale 3D Cleanse

Have you ever tried a colour changing cleanser before? Let 3D Kale Cleanse take you completely by surprise! This COSMOS certified supercharged cream cleanser cleanses the skin while protecting it from environmental damage.

Kale 3D Cleanse

Kale 3D Cleanse contains hydration boosting hyaluronic acid, probiotics, and oxygenating extracts that Nourish claim will energise and refresh the skin. The kale and griffonia extracts in the cleanser help to detoxify the skin. Their antioxidant qualities protect skin against pollution and the signs of ageing.

Using Kale 3D Cleanse

The cleanser comes in a beautiful sturdy clear glass pump bottle. I can see the pearly white contents. To start my cleanse, I hold a warm cloth to my face to dampen it, then dispense a pump into my palm.

Smoothing the cleanser over my face, I meet the cleanser’s beautiful fresh fragrance (it contains essential oils of frankincense and myrrh). I think I can smell something a bit green, like kale. It only takes a few seconds of massaging to reveal the colour change element – the cleanser has changed colour from white, to green!

At this stage, I remove the cleanser with a cloth, but rinsing away is fine too. Be warned that it makes a mess on a face cloth!

The cleanser contains titanium dioxide, which is a bulking and whitening agent – and mica, which gives it its pretty sparkle. I do love the beautiful texture, but titanium dioxide and mica are something I struggle to take off with cleansers, so it seems counterproductive to include them in a cleanser. I guess without these ingredients, the cleanser wouldn’t start off white and sparkly. But it feels like something extra for me to remove!

All this said, it does a great job at removing all my makeup, especially around my eyes. However I do get some stinging and watering when removing makeup close to my eyes with Kale 3D Cleanse.

My skin is left clean, soft, and without a trace of makeup. There is no residue left behind, but I always follow with a second cleanse if I’m wearing SPF or makeup.

Being completely honest, this is not one of my favourite cleansers because of the stinging in my eyes – but I do appreciate its unique action and antioxidant qualities. I think I’ll save this one for makeup free days!

Overall verdict: A unique colour change cream cleanser that cleanses effectively while protecting skin with antioxidants.

Protect Replenishing Peptide Serum

Protect Replenishing Peptide Serum is one of several serums in the Nourish London Skincare range. This one is intended for dry skin and is touted as a super hydrator and collagen stimulator with firming and smoothing qualities. Perfect for a 40 something mum with tired skin like mine!

Protect Replenishing Peptide Serum

I absolutely love the citrus hit and vitamin C aspect of this plumping serum. It boasts potent vitamin C antioxidant properties thanks to fresh organic Sicilian lemon, orange, and mandarin oils. Vitamin C is known to protect the skin from harmful free radical damage brought about by stress and pollution.

Using Protect Replenishing Peptide Serum

The serum comes in a clear glass bottle with a pump. As you can see, the bottle is really attractive. To protect the contents I always keep mine inside the original packaging and away from sunlight. The serum is fresh, juicy, silky, and light in colour. It smells so beautiful – the mandarin really comes through and is so cheering at the start of the day.

Texture of Protect Replenishing Peptide Serum

I apply a large drop all over my face and neck. The serum glides over my skin and dries quickly leaving no trace. It leaves my skin soft, smooth, super plumped, and hydrated. My fine lines are definitely thanking me for this serum!

Overall verdict: a light and refreshing hydrating citrus serum perfect for dry and mature skins, with peptides to stimulate collagen and vitamin C to protect the skin.

Radiance Firming Facial Oil

Finally, let’s look at Nourish Radiance Firming Facial Oil. This rosy scented facial oil promises to lift, firm, and hydrate the skin. It contains omega rich oils including pumpkin seed oil, which is said to improve the tone and radiance of the skin, and macadamia nut oil to help reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Radiance Firming Facial Oil

Nourish include French marine algae extract in the formulation which they claim slows down the breakdown of collagen and elastin in the skin. These sound like some great ingredients for skin of any age!

Using Radiance Firming Facial Oil

Nourish Radiance Firming Facial Oil comes in a clear glass bottle with a dropper. I dispense 2 – 3 drops of the glorious golden oil into my palm and press and massage into my skin. The fragrance of rose and rose geranium are so delicate and soothing.

Texture of Radiance Firming Facial Oil

The oil feels super light on the skin, so light I can even use the face oil during the day. I love how quickly it absorbs – in no time I can apply my SPF in the day and there’s no oil slick on my pillow come bedtime. My skin feels velvety, well nourished, and I love the anti-ageing promise the oil brings.

I think my skin does look brighter for using these three Nourish products regularly. As for firmness, I’m yet to see an improvement, but I’ll keep you updated via an empties post.

Overall verdict: a light as a feather rosy facial oil that promises radiance and firming, all while soothing and nourishing the skin.

  1. I love using three step skincare like this. Especially when it ends with an oil which my skin just drinks up.
