“Choosing the best blanket for a baby” is a collaborative post. To ensure a comfortable life for a newborn, you need to take care of many things. One of them is healthy sleep, which is impossible without the right baby blanket. This article details how to make the right choice of blankets for newborns. Newborns are sensitive – so the choice must be approached with all responsibility. To create a safe environment for the baby, you need to make sure that the blanket meets certain requirements. Temperature. The warmth of the product must correspond to the temperature regime – the baby should not freeze or overheat. If the baby is born in the summer, an easy option during the first months is enough. If in winter – buy two options. Lightweight for indoors, warm for walking. Size. Do not choose too small – the baby will not cover completely. You…

Hello again, empties lover! And welcome to my September 2021 natural beauty empties! It’s been an interesting month where I tried to minimise trying too many new products and blogging about them, but failed! Sometimes it’s hard to slow down with the things I love! Our darling new baby is due in just 2 weeks, so I’m understandably wanting to wind things down. But on the other hand, Cara started at playgroup so I have a little extra time before bubs comes earthside. I have a modest amount of empties for you this month. I’ve been masking most nights through September to try and carve some relaxation time, plus use up some of my huge mask stash. So, in this month’s empties you’ll find a sumptuous honey mask, refreshing floral mist, anti-ageing facial oil, and more. My kids used up a creamy body lotion and body wash. Shall we take…

Hi beauty lovers! Have you heard of Plastic Free July? Plastic Free July is a movement to reduce the amount of plastic waste we produce. The challenge is to refuse single use plastics in July. As a family, we are mindful of the impact of our plastic waste and have been reducing single use plastics for some time. But there’s still huge room for improvement. The most offending single use plastics we still use as a family are without a doubt wet wipes and disposable nappies. I know how harmful they are for the environment, but sometimes getting through life with little kids seems more important. Can you relate? How does this help you? Maybe you’re in the same position as me. We can’t promise a plastic free July, but we can make a start implementing some changes for life. This is what it’s all about! …The truth is that…

Welcome back, beauties! Today it’s time to share my current loves from a long-time favourite natural beauty brand. Hello, Lavera skincare! Lavera is one of the first natural beauty brands I tried. I return to Lavera skincare again and again for certified organic products that are such great value for money! One of my favourite things about Lavera is that all their beauty products are certified organic by NaTrue. Everything is 100% natural and organic, and nothing is tested on animals. You won’t find any parabens, SLS, phthalates, mineral oils, or petrochemicals in Lavera beauty! The brand was founded by Thomas Haase in 1987. In founding Lavera, he discovered his lifelong dream of organic and natural beauty care for all. To me, nature is the only true way to beauty care. For me, lavera stands for true, natural beauty care – pure nature – my concept for beautiful skin. Thomas…

It’s time for my July 2019 natural beauty empties! I do love sharing my empties. There’s something so satisfying about finishing a natural beauty product to the last drop. I love recapping it all, and I hope you might find something you like amongst the treasure trove of items. I’ve used up quite a few products this month. I had a huge sort out of my stash which was very rewarding. We also bought new bathroom storage, which prompted a resurfacing of some close-to-empty products to finish up. My favourite product this month is a special skin treatment called bakuchiol. It’s an amazing replacement for retinol that’s safer for mamas who are pregnant or breastfeeding. There’s also a luscious balm, rose water, adult and kids toothpaste, epsom salts, face mask powder, body lotion, and face cream and mineral powder samples. I hope you enjoy my empties, and if you have…

It’s been like Christmas for me this month with 2 gorgeous beauty boxes to review. The LoveLula March 2019 Beauty Box is a real treasure trove of skincare and makeup from both well-known and new brands. The March beauty box contains 4 full-size natural beauty products and 3 sample sachets. It’s worth a whopping £70, but costs just £14.95 as a monthly subscriber. When I got the box in my hands this month, I was startled at how light it was compared with previous months. It took a few moments for me to realise that this box must contain MAKEUP! How exciting! So let’s have a look at this month’s fabulous box! Mádara Deep Moisture Gel I’m a big fan of Mádara natural skincare, especially their cleansers, so I was really excited to find this light gel moisturiser in the box. It’s intended for oily and combination skin, but I…

In this post, I review the healthy and delicious Copura Coconut and Aloe Toothpaste. I don’t review toothpaste very often on my blog. I have quite sensitive teeth and I need to use a sensitive toothpaste once a day to keep my teeth calm. As I’ve mentioned in other toothpaste reviews, I’d love a natural brand to bring out a natural toothpaste containing the magic ingredient potassium nitrate. Maybe I should DIY it. Anyway, that’s another post! Disclosure: I was gifted Copura Coconut and Aloe Toothpaste by Copura. My views are honest and my own. I use natural toothpaste once a day, so I was happy to try Copura Coconut and Aloe Toothpaste and excited to see how it could benefit my teeth and mouth. Most people know about the dental benefits of coconut and aloe, they’re such lovely ingredients. Copura claim the ingredients will provide a complete new oral health…

In this post, I’d love to share with you healthy ways to prepare for a second pregnancy. Yes, we’re trying for another baby! We’ve been trying for 4 cycles so far! This post will focus on the healthy things you can do to get your body ready for a second pregnancy, and is especially relevant if you’re a breastfeeding or older mum. I hope you’ll find this post really helpful! In another post, I’ll also talk about my worries and fears, and how I can overcome them. They’re worries shared by virtually all pregnant women – I’m sure you mamas can relate! I will link to that post once it’s completed. Some backstory: it took 15 months for my fertility to return after Jonah. I do think it’s awesome that for many women, breastfeeding controls fertility. Our bodies know whether or not we’d be able to cope physically with the…

In this review, Jonah tries out Green People Children Spearmint and Aloe Toothpaste. We’re huge fans of Green People and use their products daily. I completely trust them with my own and my family’s skin and dental care. Jonah’s teeth came through on Christmas day 2016 when he was just over 6 months old. As with most babies, it was the bottom two at the front to come through first. We started brushing Jonah’s teeth everyday since he cut his first tooth. Although I use fluoride toothpaste on myself, I don’t want to use fluoride toothpaste on Jonah. So I chose his toothpaste very carefully. On one hand, I consider fluoride a beneficial ingredient to help with tooth decay. On the other hand, Jonah is too young to know to spit his toothpaste. The EWG recommendation is to avoid fluoride on children under 2 years old. Fluoride is not the…
