Welcome back, my dear empties lover! And welcome to my March 2022 natural beauty empties. This month’s empties post is a little bit different as it’s in collaboration with my beautiful friend Renata at Green Life in Dublin. She is a doyenne of green beauty and everything healthy, and a lovely lady too, so do check out her blog and YouTube channel. You can find Renata’s empties post for the first quarter of the year. There are so many goodies here – some new to me (Living Libations Everybody Loves The Sunshine With Zinc Beach Balm sounds great!) and some already loved (Better You Magnesium Oil)! The empties came thick and fast through the whole of March. I actually can’t believe how many natural skin and hair care products I finished off! Perhaps because I know we’re moving house soon, I’m so eager to whittle my stash down. This month…

Hello again, empties lover! And welcome to my September 2021 natural beauty empties! It’s been an interesting month where I tried to minimise trying too many new products and blogging about them, but failed! Sometimes it’s hard to slow down with the things I love! Our darling new baby is due in just 2 weeks, so I’m understandably wanting to wind things down. But on the other hand, Cara started at playgroup so I have a little extra time before bubs comes earthside. I have a modest amount of empties for you this month. I’ve been masking most nights through September to try and carve some relaxation time, plus use up some of my huge mask stash. So, in this month’s empties you’ll find a sumptuous honey mask, refreshing floral mist, anti-ageing facial oil, and more. My kids used up a creamy body lotion and body wash. Shall we take…

Hello again, beauty lover! And welcome to my June 2021 natural beauty empties. It’s where I post about all my used up products for the month. And this month I have a huge collection for you! In June I used up a gorgeous vibrant exfoliant gel to milk mask, effective solid conditioner bar, beauty sleep facial oil, and more! My children used up a soothing calendula oil and a lovely SOS face cream. Shall we dive in? Let’s go! June 2021 natural beauty empties Native Essentials SOLE Gel to Milk Mask Native Essentials brightly coloured and interestingly textured exfoliant and mask is easily one of my favourites this month. The citrus vanilla fragrance and bright yellow colour flecked with charcoal beads is so much fun to use. What I love most about it is that it takes just 5 minutes to get smooth and perfectly glowing skin. Learn more about…

Hello beauty! And welcome to my May 2021 natural beauty empties! In my empties posts I share all the beauty products I used up in a month. And this month I have a fantastic collection of well rounded empties for you. In May, I used up a gorgeous Nordic balm cleanser with arctic bilberry, a silky foot balm with mint and pine, a gentle and hydrating CBD face cream – and much more. There’s also a makeup item, hair care products, and an item from my children. Would you like to learn more about them? Let’s do it! May 2021 natural beauty empties Flow Balm to Milk Facial Cleanser Flow Balm to Milk Cleanser is a gorgeous dual textured cleansing balm that’s yellow, thick, oily and satisfying. It starts as a thick gel to massage in to the face, shifting makeup and daily grime. On contact with water, the cleanser…

Welcome back, empties lover! And welcome to my February 2021 natural beauty empties. It’s that time of the month again where I share all the natural beauty products I used and loved! This month I finished up a well-loved grapefruit perfume that’s been in my collection for at least six years, a sumptuous radiance boosting face cream, multi-tasking facial oil, and much more. I hope you enjoy my February 2021 natural beauty empties! February 2021 natural beauty empties Love & Toast Sugar Grapefruit Perfume I’m not too sure about the green creds of this fragrance, although I’ve read that it’s organic and somewhat clean. But I loved it so much – it definitely deserves the top spot in my empties. Margot Elena creates such beautiful brands with artful designs that are easy to fall in love with. And it was certainly love between us, with the pretty design of the…

Hello again, my friend! Welcome to my January 2021 natural beauty empties. What to say about January? The lockdown, supporting my husband working from home, worrying about all our health – it takes its toll. But skincare, as usual, is a beautiful distraction and – we had snow! It was so good to frolic in the white stuff, have fun, and forget about lockdown, just for one day. This month, I used up a beautiful gel cleanser, all-in-one balm, ginseng face tonic, and more. My littles used up a gentle hydrating body lotion and a baby sleep rollerball. I hope you find my January empties helpful! January 2021 natural beauty empties D’Alchemy Purifying Facial Cleanser One of my favourite gel cleansers. It’s great during times of hormonal breakouts since it mildly exfoliates and contains soothing ingredients. I really love the softly foaming texture and the orange and vanilla scent. You…

Welcome back, beauty lover! Today, I’m sharing my at-home spa day with Martina Gebhardt! Christmas preparations are tiring this mama out. I’m sure you can relate? When life gets like this, I like to schedule in some down time – just for me. To help me take that precious time, my husband took our children to see their grandma so I could have an afternoon of recharging and regrouping. Visiting a spa is one of my favourite things to do. But with us being in tier 3, it doesn’t make much sense to visit a spa. Nor is it something I can afford to do at the frequency I need to do it! But with a few select skincare items and some spare time, I can definitely make the experience real at home! Even if I only have a face mask, I can recreate the spa mood to help me…

Welcome back, dear friend. Today I’m sharing something a little different. This post is about using natural products for COPD wellness to help my stepmother, B. She sadly suffers from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD) and cancer, and is receiving end of life care. I wanted to put together a care package of wellness and skincare products to boost her health and energy levels, relieve her symptoms, and bring comfort without disrupting her medical treatment or skin care preferences. Note that I am not a medical professional, and you should always consult a doctor before introducing new supplements. About my step mother B is 72 and she and my Dad have been married for 22 years. My dad is her full time carer and receives occasional support with her care. They live in Devon, by the sea, where B can get sea air daily through the open window. Her long-term…

Goodness, how has a whole month passed since my last skincare empties post? What with Valentine’s Day just gone, and Mother’s Day fast approaching, it’s been a very busy month for me and my blog. I hope you’ll enjoy reading my February 2018 skincare empties! I’ve gone through fewer products this month than last month. I’ve been focusing on using Jonah’s bath products in my shower, since his body wash tubes have been open since January last year, and aren’t smelling as perfect as they should. I also have some lovely new natural toddler sleep products to try for Jonah, so please do subscribe to my blog or follow me to keep up to date. So, let’s go through my February 2018 skincare empties. Full size natural skincare products Odylique Gentle Herb Shampoo I do like Odylique Gentle Herb Shampoo, and I appreciate what is good about it. As well as…

My husband gifted me this Martina Gebhardt Propolis Cream last Christmas. It’s a bit too rich for daily use on my combination skin. I use it when my skin is feeling in need of extra moisturisation, for instance after a clay mask. I also use it in winter when my skin gets drier. It’s so rich that I use it as a general moisturising cream for my hands, feet, and elbows. I also really like to dab a bit of this cream on a spot once it is healing. I’m convinced it improves the look of marks on my face. The ingredient propolis is what prompted my husband buy it. We’d used propolis supplements to help with egg quality when trying to conceive Jonah. Could it have good effects applied topically, too? After unwrapping it, I immediately checked all the ingredients. Being pregnant, I didn’t want any nasties in my…
