Hello again, my friend! Welcome to my January 2021 natural beauty empties. What to say about January? The lockdown, supporting my husband working from home, worrying about all our health – it takes its toll. But skincare, as usual, is a beautiful distraction and – we had snow! It was so good to frolic in the white stuff, have fun, and forget about lockdown, just for one day.

This month, I used up a beautiful gel cleanser, all-in-one balm, ginseng face tonic, and more. My littles used up a gentle hydrating body lotion and a baby sleep rollerball.
I hope you find my January empties helpful!

D’Alchemy Purifying Facial Cleanser
One of my favourite gel cleansers. It’s great during times of hormonal breakouts since it mildly exfoliates and contains soothing ingredients. I really love the softly foaming texture and the orange and vanilla scent.

You should check out the entire D’Alchemy range for mature skin, it’s a firm favourite of mine.

oMoi Skincare All-In-One-Balm
I tried a few products from oMoi skincare a few years back. I really love this softly melting balm that can be used anywhere, face or body. The texture is so divine, creamy, buttery – and just like a balm should be!

The fragrance is absolutely gorgeous and based on neroli essential oil. Balm lovers will really enjoy this one.

Martina Gebhardt Ginseng Tonic
Since I only received this toner when I reviewed Martina Gebhardt in December, I surprised myself at how quickly I used it up!

It’s a refreshing toner especially for demanding, tired or sluggish skin, and includes lovely ginseng, myrtle, and linden extract. I feel like this toner really peps up my skin up while being refreshing. I’d definitely buy it again!

Typology Acide Hyaluronique 3% + B5 2%
A lovely little serum that brings hydration to parched skin. The texture is a little syrupy compared with other hyaluronic acid serums I’ve tried, but the finish is completely non-sticky.

Check out my review of this and many other Typology skincare products. I love this minimal and affordable skincare range, and there’s definitely something for everybody.

Benecos Natural Lip Balm Vanilla
This came in a Benecos Winter Dream Gift Box I chose for Christmas a couple of years back.

The natural lip balm comes in at under £3, but I really love it! My 2 year old loves it too, and since it’s not too mushy it’s a bit more forgiving for a little one to use. It smells beautiful, too! Definitely a bargain lip balm!

Zenon Kition Rosehip Seed Oil
This was a lovely cold-pressed rosehip seed oil from Zenon Kition. Rosehip seed oil makes a great skincare choice, age-proofing skin by boosting collagen production while increasing moisture day to day.

Unfortunately this indie brand is no longer with us, but you can follow the beautiful founders in their Cypriot life over on Instagram.

Saskia’s Flower Essences Combination Custom Blend
Have you heard of flower essences before? They’re a bit like Bach’s Rescue Remedy, although I believe they’re not strictly homeopathic.

More, they capture the vibrational energy of different plants. The essences are said to help us unlearn old patterns and bring awareness to problems to help rebalance your whole being.
I chose this combination for myself when I was finding life with 2 little ones very hard. It’s bindweed (release), borage (I can cope), cherry plum (I allow calmness), impatiens (bringing patience), and weld (I see the bigger picture).
These plants and their qualities become a mantra to depend upon when the challenges arise. Taking a moment to reflect on them while taking a few deep breaths really helped me out in times of need.
I highly recommend Saskia and her essences. She can even dowse for which essences may help you most!

Organii Aftersun Cream
What a very lovely little aftersun this is. Perfect after sun exposure, and we actually used it throughout the year on dry little faces and hands.

Organii is a fabulous family friendly and affordable brand to try.

Humble Sweet Pea & Verbena Hand Cream
This appeared in the LoveLula June 2020 Beauty Box. It’s an incredibly rich and hydrating hand cream that really stands up to cold winters.

It’s fragrant as well, but the fragrance is a little strong. If you like it that way, great! I often got positive comments on the lovely fragrance. Affordable and indulgent.

Childs Farm Baby Moisturiser
I’ve had this one on the go for a while – it came in an Ecocobox subscription box for mums and their babes.

It’s a lovely hydrating moisturiser for little ones. Admittedly, I used it more frequently than they did!

Natura Siberica Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
This was a natural hair care pick for my husband, who used to have a flaky scalp until he discovered it!

This anti-dandruff shampoo works well and the bottle lasts a long time, making it great value for money.

Natura Siberica Cooling Foot Cream-Peeling
I bought this one on a whim and it turns out to be a lovely little foot scrub.

It refreshes and cools while natural pumice buffs away rough skin.

Sea Magik Epsom Spa Salts
An epsom salts bath is a great way to get a dose of magnesium and is perfect to wind down before bed.

You can pick these up easily and cheaply in supermarkets.

Mia & Dom Sleep Baby Sleep Remedy
Well, my 2 year old daughter has quite a thing for aromatherapy rollerballs! And so part of our toddler bedtime routine is to oil up our tootsies!

This one contains chamomile and lavender to relax little minds and bodies before bed.
Unfortunately Mia & Dom is no longer operating, but you can look at the product on Amazon. Try Mummy Loves Organics Sleepy Feet for a great alternative.
Terre Verdi AcquaDiRosa Balancing Mist
I recently became an ambassador for Terre Verdi and have been enjoying several full size products along with this sweet tester of AcquaDiRosa Balancing Mist.

I’ll be reviewing the full size product really soon, so stay in touch to hear about it. If you’re interested to try any Terre Verdi products, you can take 15% off with my code NatBeautyWBaby15.

Arcana Skin samples
Goodbye beautiful samples of Kilda Thalassic Detox Mask (best results from a mask in a while), Veil of Rest Vitamin Recovery Serum (great for dry skin in winter), and Nine Herbs Charm Clarifying Face Serum (fantastic during hormonal breakouts and ever so refreshing).

They came in the Arcana Skin Discovery Set.
I really enjoyed these trial sizes, and I love the values of this mystical plant-loving brand, too. Full size versions are on my wish-list!
Typology fragrance samples
Ah, these little Typology fragrances are so lovely, and incredibly natural smelling.

They can be worn alone or layered with other fragrances in the range to give a bespoke blend. So much fun for natural fragrance lovers!

The Typology sounds lovely, I could use some extra hydration
You have some great things here. I might have to give some of these a try. I need that foot cream!
These are great recommendations! I’d really like to try the lip balm
Great to see how many products you really loved. I will have to check out the Mia & Dom Sleep Baby Sleep Remedy.
As someone who doesn’t have a lot of knowledge when it comes to beauty, I’ve noticed that natural skincare does wonders! Thank you for the suggestions.
