Hello lovelies! This month I started receiving the LoveLula box again, so I’m giving you the June and the LoveLula July 2020 Beauty Box reviews all in one month! I’ve been busy trying lots of lovely new goodies.
The July LoveLula Beauty Box is full of natural beauty products to cleanse and soothe, which works so well given the current need to keep hands spotlessly clean. I’m so happy to be able to share this wonderful natural beauty subscription box again!
July’s subscriber box contains 3 full-size products and 1 travel size natural beauty product. The value of the box is £46, but it costs just £14.95 as a monthly subscriber. Subscribing makes a lot of sense because you get to try lovely natural beauty brands at a great discount.
There’s an organic shea body butter from Laidbare, tea tree Castile soap from The Castilian Soap Company, Urban Veda soothing sandalwood night cream, and a super handy travel size rose water from Balm Balm.
Enjoy my review of the LoveLula July 2020 Beauty Box!

Balm Balm Rose Floral Water Hydrosol travel size
Let’s start with my favourite item from the box – we are no stranger to each other. It’s Balm Balm rose hydrosol!
I love this hydrosol! I reviewed it with several others in my roundup of rose floral hydrosols. In fact, it came out on top of this roundup because it’s so pure in fragrance. I really like the dark glass bottle and its pump mechanism, which sprays quite finely. I don’t like getting too drenched when I spray it directly onto my face.
This cute travel size will come in handy for my bag. I use it to refresh, tone, fragrance, and generally uplift my spirits. It really is a desert island product. Hydrosol is so versatile, because at home you can do all sorts with it by using/mixing it with other products, for instance to mix powder masks, before face oils, etc.
This is such a welcome addition to the July box. Thank you, LoveLula!

Laidbare Organic Shea Body Butter
Laidbare is a lovely value for money brand – they always offer up effective products for your outlay. This butter is new to me, so I’m super excited to try it for the first time.
It promises to create a “rich moisturising experience that is indulgent beyond measure to encourage renewed, glowing, soft and supple skin”. Sounds great!
I love that along with shea it also contains cocoa butter, avocado oil, and rosehip oil. A peek at the ingredients also reveals some vitamins – a stabilised form of vitamin C, niacinamide (aka B3, reduces inflammation) and pyridoxine (aka B6, may help with eczema and psoriasis).
This organic shea body butter took me completely by surprise! I was expecting a thick, oily shea body butter that would take a long time to sink in. This product is not that! It contains water, so it’s less of a balm and more of a rich cream. It has Laidbare’s lovely signature fragrance (although there is “parfum”), and silky feel that’s really very nice indeed. The butter comes in a handy reduced size plastic tube.
It absorbs quickly and and leaves no greasy after feel. My skin is left soft and comfortable for a couple of hours (on my hands, at least).
This is a gorgeous body butter that does the work of a heavier balm plus contains skin-loving vitamins – all at a wonderful price. Definitely one to try for yourself!
The Castilian Soap Company Natural Castile Soap with Tea Tree
I reviewed The Castilian Soap Company Lavender Castile Soap back when the brand first debuted on LoveLula, so I was really happy to find this limited edition Castile soap in a clear bottle inside my box.
This is a true liquid soap made with high quality natural vegetable oils. It contains tea tree oil, a known natural antiseptic. It’s touted as particularly suitable for skin conditions such as acne and psoriasis.
Although it’s housed in plastic, the packaging is very useful. It’s lighter than it looks, so my 4 year old can handle it. And while the bottle is full, you can squeeze the bottle to get the soap out without inverting it. The texture is thicker and more gel-like than other Castile soaps.
My whole family has used this for a week in our bathroom and we love it! We experienced clean and soft skin left with a delicate fragrance. It also makes the most amazing makeup brush cleaner.
Clean hands are a goal for us all right now, and you can’t go wrong with a natural multi-tasking cleanser like this one.
Urban Veda Soothing Clarifying Night Cream
Last but not least, this soothing night cream from Urban Veda. I’m already familiar with this range, since Urban Veda sent me a box of goodies from their soothing range for sensitive skin to try.
This is a good night cream that promises to plump and repair overnight with deeply moisturising sandalwood, harmonising ylang ylang, and balancing palmarosa. The cream aims to fight fine lines, dehydration, and elemental damage. The gentle fragrance of rose geranium helps to calm mental fatigue.
Urban Veda Soothing Clarifying Night Cream comes in a glass jar, and I use a spatula to avoid dipping my fingers in. It has a comforting traditional “cream like” fragrance, lightly spiked with ayurvedic spices. It’s easy to apply, and soft and pillowy like a good night cream should be.
This night cream certainly makes a soothing and comforting finale to the day. And it’s not too rich, so it’s great when you want to layer up with a face oil afterwards.
The only thing I don’t like about this night cream is the alchol denat used in the formula. This is generally seen as drying for the skin, although I haven’t noticed this effect personally.
Urban Veda is a really interesting brand and they have other lines to cater for all skin types, so its well worth a look to find one to suit.

These look like useful products (I love rose water) and everyone needs moisterizer. I feel like these subscriptions always start out awesome, and then fade….
Such a great value for money, the rose spray sounds amazing for summer!
I’m very interested in that natural soap. I’m really sensitive to soaps and products with too many chemicals in them. I’m going to have to check it out.
I would love to try that night cream!
I use rosewater daily especially on sunburns if I get them or my kids get them. This looks like a great box. I might need to look into it.
