Over 40 years and millions of happy customers we are still defining natural beauty care with style The brand stock some really interesting shampoos and conditioners. Amongst them is their Biotene H-24 range, promising thicker and fuller hair naturally. What really caught my attention about this line is the ingredients, which include biotin and peptides to promote hair growth. In this review, I’m delighted to introduce a very special baby and toddler shampoo. Enfance Paris Gentle Shampoo is one of the nicest shampoos my little ones have had the pleasure of trying. Since this is my first encounter with Enfance Paris, let’s learn a little bit about this brand. A child’s skin is the most precious there is… French mother Agnès Laffourcade created Enfance Paris to develop the products she couldn’t find in the stores for her children. What makes the brand unique is that its organic clean skincare products are tailored to different ages of children, from birth to adolescence. Since both my children are under 3, I’ll be using those aimed at the 0 to 3 range. The focus is on caring for delicate skin with gentle beneficial aromatherapy-based formulations and natural vegetable butters. I’m so impressed with the quality of the brand. Firstly, all products aim…
In this post I’m sharing my review of the super-luxurious Rahua Voluminous Shampoo and Rahua Voluminous Conditioner. You should definitely read this post if you’re considering investing in this expensive duo. I first came across Rahua because my blogger friends posted reviews about their experiences with the products. Excited by the buzz, I bagged myself a sample. Intrigued by the brand, I then invested in Rahua’s fabulous natural hairspray. My hair is decidedly normal, but it’s fine and somewhat thinning. For the past 2 months, I’ve experienced some pretty severe postpartum hair loss. And due to stress my psoriasis has flared again, leaving my scalp irritated and dry. It’s a tricky situation, though, as overly moisturising formulations tend to leave me with greasy roots. I don’t like to wash my hair every day (lazy mama), so that’s always a consideration when choosing a shampoo and conditioner. What I really wanted…
Natural hairsprays are the answer to those looking to lead a cleaner lifestyle. We all know that hairspray is a must to set your style, increase its longevity, and control stray hairs. But many conventional hairsprays contain less than desirable ingredients for those trying to live a cleaner life. Read on to learn why natural hairspray is a better choice for you, your children and the environment, plus my top picks of natural hairsprays to choose from. Why you should choose natural hairsprays Most hairsprays add volume and texture and help to give your hair a finished look and feel. But the biggest concern with some conventional hairspray should be the safety warning it comes with, including irritation to skin and eyes, and drowsiness. Synthetic fragrance could also cause concern because its formula need not be disclosed by the manufacturer. Many natural hairsprays use naturally-derived fragrance. In some natural hairsprays…
Have you ever felt trapped in a cycle of over-washing where you absolutely have to wash your hair every day? Not only that, but your hair doesn’t look that great for it? Disclosure: this post contains references to products I’ve chosen with my credits as a LoveLula Accredited Blogger. My views are honest and my own. Owned and run by Tabitha and Dennes James-Kraan, the multi-award winning system encourages proper cleansing and conditioning only 2 to 3 times a week, with dry shampoos in-between if needed. There’s also a fabulous hair oil for another level of nourishment. There’s some solid wisdom behind the Tabitha James Kraan system. Hair thrives when it is nurtured by nature.…

Earlier this year, I got balayage into my hair, so was in need of a shampoo that would support my new colouring. I always go for shampoo without SLS, silicones, and unhealthy preservatives. This time, I chose Lavera Colour and Shine Shampoo, since it supports colour-treated hair with a whole bunch of lovely ingredients. Of course, the best way to protect hair and its colour is to keep it covered up. Not possible most of the time, I hear you say. That’s where products come in. Moisturising is the best way to keep the colour in your hair. That means using a really good shampoo and conditioner specially made with colour-treated hair in mind. You can always try washing your hair less frequently, if you can stand it. Try some of these tips for keeping the colour in your hair. There’s some great advice in there that applies to us…
This week, we booked my toddler’s first haircut. It’s safe to say I’ve been quite anxious about it all week. If you’ve been following my blog or Instagram, you’ve probably experienced the loveliness that is my son’s hair. It’s beautiful, and fast becoming part of his personality. But it does seem a little untamed when he’s next to his peers with their neat haircuts. I often ask myself, should we get his first haircut? Then, my I berate myself. His locks are so precious, how can I contemplate getting them cut? They’re soft, slightly curly, and beautifully wild and natural. I’m feeling hesitant about my toddler’s first haircut – especially since he’ll lose those beautiful first baby curls and may come out with a grown-up look. My worries are that a haircut will somehow take something away from Jonah, and that changing his look might change how I feel about him.…
