Welcome back, beauty lover!
It’s empties time again! August saw a wonderful mix of different kinds of natural beauty. My favourite product is a loose mineral foundation I simply can’t live without. It’s the best I’ve tried and I recommend it to everybody – MoMineral Loose Mineral Foundation!
There’s also a silky balm to milk cleanser, sexy botanical tincture, hydrating green serum, blueberry cleanser, light moisturiser, chamomile herbal soap, and grapefruit essential oil. You’ll also find travel size invisible sunscreen, rose hydrosol, and a de-bloat supplement sachet.
Are you ready to make friends with these natural beauties? Let’s go!
August 2020 natural beauty empties
MoMineral Loose Mineral Foundation
This is absolutely my favourite mineral foundation right now. There’s a MoMineral foundation shade for everybody – whether you are very pale, or very dark. No more struggling to find a matching shade!

Not only are the shade options spot on, the foundation is 100% natural and filled with gorgeous clean ingredients. The matte finish foundation suits my skin tone perfectly, covering imperfections but not masking my skin. It doesn’t settle in my lines, and wears well over the day without becoming patchy. I get so many compliments about my skin while I’m wearing it!
I feel like this foundation actively calms my skin with soothing kaolin and zinc oxide, while providing medium coverage, healing blemishes, and providing sun protection. It’s so easy to apply with a soft kabuki brush.
The sample service is amazing. For just £1.50 you can try 5 shades from the 25-strong collection to wear and love at home before committing to a full size product.
As for MoMineral, championing natural beauty for all comes easily.
I grew up in Nigeria, at a time when the use of natural products was simply part of our everyday routine and not necessarily a luxury.

Odylique Silk Touch Cleanser
This gorgeous vegan cleanser is something of a marvel. Odylique Silk Touch Cleanser removes makeup and deeply cleanses whilst rehydrating thirsty skin. It goes on as a rich balm, then transforms into an easy to rinse milk upon contact with water.

I love the texture of this cleanser, and it smells absolutely beautiful. It’s very relaxing before bed. Needless to say my skin feels so deeply cleansed with no traces of makeup and no residue. A definite repurchase and a cleanser that comes highly recommended.

Blooming Blends Be Sexy Tincture
This fantastic tincture contains herbs including ashwagandha and shatavari to boost libido. I used the bottle up within a month, and I promised to give my final verdict once I finished the bottle. Did I feel sexier? Yes, I did! It boosted my overall energy and stamina which had knock on effects in, erm, other areas!

I’d definitely recommend Blooming Blends Be Sexy. See my full review for a rundown of the herbs used and how they can help relight your inner fire!

Ere Perez Quandong Green Booster Serum
This is a very nice serum indeed. It promises to boost skin with an antioxidant-rich blend of superfood ingredients to support a healthy, glowing complexion.

Ere Perez Quandong Serum hydrates and calms my skin beautifully in the morning after using glycolic acid the previous evening. I think with long term use this serum is insurance for skin given how rich in nutrients it is.

Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser
This was a birthday present from my lovely husband! I wasn’t familiar with Glow Recipe and I was a bit worried this would contain ingredients I wasn’t happy with, but it’s beautifully formulated with clean and helpful ingredients.

It’s a gorgeous jelly cleanser with a sweet fragrance that foams to cleanse while hydrating the skin and exfoliating too with blueberry extracts and gentle AHAs. I’d definitely repurchase this fun product!

Dafna’s Moisture + Light
This moisturiser from Spanish brand Dafna’s is very nice indeed. Described as a natural aromatherapeutic cream with a silky texture and fast absorption, my skin feels comfortable all day wearing this. I also love the packaging – a cute and eco-friendly UV protective glass pump bottle.

The light facial lotion is based on 19 natural active ingredients with curative qualities including hyaluronic acid, calendula, neroli, and ivy extract. I’d love to explore more from this brand!

Kear Chamomile Herbal Soap
I reviewed the Greek natural skincare brand Kear a few months ago and we’ve been enjoying using their lovely soaps that are based on ancient Greek recipes.

I really love how this soap holds its shape in the soap dish after use. It smells gorgeous, too!

Mádara Plant Stem Cell Antioxidant Sunscreen SPF30
This one came in the LoveLula August Beauty Box. It truly is an amazing sunscreen. It’s easy to apply and blends invisibly so is suitable for most skin shades.

This is definitely on my wishlist for next year after I’ve used my other SPF30 sunscreens.

Balm Balm Rose Hydrosol
If you’ve followed my blog for a while you’ll understand my love for rose hydrosol.

Balm Balm Rose Hydrosol is one of the best I’ve tried. It took me no time at all to use this handy travel size up!

Please excuse the look of this essential oil, it has been in my collection too long.

Don’t let the appearance put you off. This is a really good quality essential oil at a value for money price.

The Nue Co Debloat Food + Prebiotic
This came in the Naturisimo Vegan Discovery Box that I bought a few weeks ago. It’s touted as a “bestselling digestive formula” and comes in single-serving sachets for travel-friendly dosage.

I’m still not convinced it helped with my premenstrual bloating, but I love the beneficial ingredients.
Digestive enzymes, turmeric, cinnamon and ginger work together to relieve an uncomfortable tummy. There’s also marigold flower to soothe and prebiotic inulin to feed good bacteria. I have 2 more sachets to try before I make my mind up!

I love the concept of sharing your empties! And I am also a big fan of mineral makeup, so thank you for the recommendations!
I can definitely use a little update to my beauty routine. Thanks for all the great suggestions will check them out
I love those samplers where you get to try multiple products or shades at once. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these brands.
Sounds like a great collection of empties! Some of them I have tried too, like Ere Perez Quandong Serum, so I know how good they are. Others like the mineral foundation got my curiosity piqued, it sounds really good. And as always, seeing Your post, I know it is time to do mine now 🙂
I love that the products are inclusive of all skin colours!
Im loving the idea of a few samples for a few bucks. I wonder if we have that in the US. I have not been doing anything for my face – other than washing it! I love reading about peoples person experience with this stuff to figure out what really works.
