Welcome back, my dear! In today’s post, I’d like to share some of the best baby skincare products for 2023. We all want only the best for our baby’s skin – but with so much choice and conflicting advice about what to use, how do we pick only the best baby skincare products? And more, how can we choose brands we can rely on because they’re so well loved by parents? In this post, I’ll reveal all. But first, do babies even need a skin care routine? Why your baby needs a skin care routine Your baby absolutely needs a skin care routine. `Even if the routine is as simple as bathing and protecting their skin with a simple emollient, if they need one. And if you’re outside in the cold and windy weather, and especially in winter, your baby will definitely need a little more care. Why? Baby skin…

Welcome back, my dear empties lover! And welcome to my March 2022 natural beauty empties. This month’s empties post is a little bit different as it’s in collaboration with my beautiful friend Renata at Green Life in Dublin. She is a doyenne of green beauty and everything healthy, and a lovely lady too, so do check out her blog and YouTube channel. You can find Renata’s empties post for the first quarter of the year. There are so many goodies here – some new to me (Living Libations Everybody Loves The Sunshine With Zinc Beach Balm sounds great!) and some already loved (Better You Magnesium Oil)! The empties came thick and fast through the whole of March. I actually can’t believe how many natural skin and hair care products I finished off! Perhaps because I know we’re moving house soon, I’m so eager to whittle my stash down. This month…

Hi again, empties lover! And welcome to my December 2021 natural beauty empties. If you’ve been following my blog, you’ll know we have a new(ish) baby in the family. Lydia is doing really well, and since her nap times and wake windows have become a little more defined, I’ve managed a little more chill-out time in the bathroom. Of course, no school run means more time in the morning for skincare. I’ve even enjoyed the odd face mask or relaxing bath in the evening. It’s so important to find time to relax, especially with all the Christmas prep! This month I have a small collection of empties, yet it contains two of my absolute favourites – Dafna’s Recovery Cleanser and Lilfox Couture Haute C Serum. There’s also nipple balm, coconut oil, kids’ body wash, and more! Let’s take a look. December 2021 natural beauty empties Dafna’s Recovery Cleanser This gorgeous…

Hello again, empties lover! And welcome to my September 2021 natural beauty empties! It’s been an interesting month where I tried to minimise trying too many new products and blogging about them, but failed! Sometimes it’s hard to slow down with the things I love! Our darling new baby is due in just 2 weeks, so I’m understandably wanting to wind things down. But on the other hand, Cara started at playgroup so I have a little extra time before bubs comes earthside. I have a modest amount of empties for you this month. I’ve been masking most nights through September to try and carve some relaxation time, plus use up some of my huge mask stash. So, in this month’s empties you’ll find a sumptuous honey mask, refreshing floral mist, anti-ageing facial oil, and more. My kids used up a creamy body lotion and body wash. Shall we take…

Hello again, my friend! Welcome to my January 2021 natural beauty empties. What to say about January? The lockdown, supporting my husband working from home, worrying about all our health – it takes its toll. But skincare, as usual, is a beautiful distraction and – we had snow! It was so good to frolic in the white stuff, have fun, and forget about lockdown, just for one day. This month, I used up a beautiful gel cleanser, all-in-one balm, ginseng face tonic, and more. My littles used up a gentle hydrating body lotion and a baby sleep rollerball. I hope you find my January empties helpful! January 2021 natural beauty empties D’Alchemy Purifying Facial Cleanser One of my favourite gel cleansers. It’s great during times of hormonal breakouts since it mildly exfoliates and contains soothing ingredients. I really love the softly foaming texture and the orange and vanilla scent. You…

Hello again, my beauty friend! And welcome to my December 2020 natural beauty empties! What a year was 2020. It goes without saying that it’s been hugely challenging. Like many, I’ve found it helpful to try and focus on the positives. We’ve learned more about ourselves in 2020 than any other year, discovering just how strong and resilient we are. Life might not be exactly as we want it to be, but we can embrace what we do have. Time with friends and family is limited, but the limitation is reducing the spread of the virus. And it won’t last forever. Gratitude turns what we have into enough. – Anonymous 2020, you helped me to scale back my expectations; to celebrate the little moments of calm and reflection. And I really appreciated the extra time I had for self-care and wellness activities. Yet, I am so very glad to move…

Many large toiletry manufacturers are jumping on the natural skincare band wagon by creating natural baby care products. But can these products really be trusted? Nobody wants to purposefully expose their child to harmful chemicals, but the truth is that many personal care products designed for babies and children still contain unhealthy ingredients. Large brands know that parents are looking for safe skincare options for their children, and they wrap a wolf in sheep’s clothing through what is known as “greenwashing”. Greenwashing is the term used to describe the duping of customers into buying something they believe is natural and healthy, when in fact they’re buying something that contains unhealthy ingredients. How can we as parents be sure that the “natural” brands we use are truly healthy? Well, a bit of detective work is all it takes. Try these four tips to help you find truly natural baby care products.…
