Welcome back, my lovely friend! Today’s share is one very close to my heart – it’s the beautiful plant-based fragrance especially for mothers – it’s Nurture by Abel Odor! I’m so excited to share it with you, because this 100% natural fragrance makes the perfect choice for all mothers, and especially expecting ladies and mothers of young babies and children. Soft, cocooning, grounding, nurturing ~ like a hug from my own mum and the thoughts of the love between me and my little one. As a pregnant lady (38 weeks and counting!), the last thing I want is a heavy fragrance. This is also true while breastfeeding. Nurture is everything I could want from a fragrance. It’s light, yet it has longevity. Nurture is a fragrance that sits very comfortably without overloading my senses or overpowering my ability to take in other scents in my environment – such as my…

Welcome back, skincare lover! Today’s post is all about a pregnancy skincare discovery I’m super excited to share – it’s Natalia pregnancy skincare! Now, at the beginning of September, I’m almost eight months pregnant – woohoo! And, as all mamas can attest, the third trimester of pregnancy is a seriously tiring time. Yet, it’s also extremely exciting! Everything feels a bit more real – and with labour looming and pregnancy niggles amplified, it’s nice to find products that can help ease those pregnancy discomforts and prepare me for labour. I first came across Natalia when I was pregnant with Cara in 2018. I bought their lovely labour massage oil intending to use it at hospital. Helping you connect positively with your changing body through positive touch, whilst caring for and nourishing your skin, and at the same time supporting you physically and emotionally with uplifting aromatherapy. Unfortunately, everything went so…

Do you love neroli skin care products? Me too! Neroli is uplifting, romantic and calming. Perfect for post lockdown emotional support. And so many natural beauty bloggers love neroli skin care too! One of my favourite memories as a young girl was sitting under my mum’s mock orange tree in the garden, listening to the bees buzzing around the fragrant blooms. When mock orange (aka “Philadelphus Virginalis”) is about to blossom, my thoughts turn to neroli (aka Bitter Orange, “Citrus Aurantium”). My favourite way to enjoy the benefits of neroli is in skin care. My favourite place to shop them? LoveLula of course! So this post is all about neroli – what it is, neroli skin care benefits, and my roundup of blogger neroli skin care favourites. What is neroli in skincare? Neroli in beauty care is created by adding neroli essential oil or hydrosol to skin and hair care…

Welcome back, natural beauty lovers! Today, I have a very special share for you. At first glance, Maison Sybarite could be any fine fragrance range. Glossy editorial style photography on a beautiful website, striking and elegant bottles, inviting and sumptuous fragrance names like Bed of Roses and Opulent Wood. Yet, delve a little deeper and you’ll find a fragrance company with very different ideals at its heart. The first water-based fine fragrances Maison Sybarite is the first water-based fine fragrance brand. Developed by Master Perfumer Antoine Lie with conscious natural beauties in mind. We can enjoy fine fragrances that reduce the use of harmful ingredients, are mindful of their environmental footprint, and are vegan and cruelty free. This fragrance speaks to the very soul of goodness. Once the perfume has become your ally, it will always lift you up. Not only are the fragrances conscious, but they never compromise on…

Hi, it’s nice to see you here! Today, I’m talking about female fertility and using a home fertility test kit. Some months back I was approached by LetsGetChecked who wondered if I’d like to try one of their at home health tests. LetsGetChecked have been offering personal health tests in the UK since 2016. They use the world’s best accredited labs and tests range from sexual health, wellness, vitamin status, lyme disease, and more. Go straight to my discount code for LetsGetChecked! Since most of my readers are women planning or parenting little ones, I was beyond interested to try a home fertility test kit. Our family is complete and I just turned 40, but I still have fertility curiosity, like am I still fertile even though I’m breastfeeding? Am I approaching menopause soon? How quickly is my fertility declining? When can I expect to see menopausal symptoms? I admit,…

Are you pregnant and suffering with uncomfortable swollen feet, or feet that cramp painfully during the night? If so, then I really hope my DIY pregnancy foot scrub can help you as much as it’s helped me! Disclosure: this post contains references to PR gifted products. My views are honest and my own. My scrub contains beneficial ingredients known to help with swollen and cramping feet. Like other foot scrubs, it will help keep your feet lovely and soft. I’m 39 weeks pregnant now, so my feet love this gorgeous scrub. I adapted it from a post by the lovely Wellness Mama, specifically with pregnancy feet in mind. How can a pregnancy foot scrub help? First, epsom salts slough off dead skin and help with cramping by replenishing magnesium levels. Tamanu oil aids drainage and circulation. To soften rough skin, add calendula, olive, or almond oil – I prefer calendula for its ability to soften…

Welcome back, my friend! Wondering what’s essential in the postpartum period? Take the guesswork out of your post-pregnancy planning – here are the postpartum essentials you’ll want to stash at home and pack in your hospital bag in the UK. As an experienced mum of four children, I love sharing what worked for me postnatally. I took so much needless stuff to hospital with my first child – I wish I knew then, what I know now! The postpartum period is such a beautiful and special time. But it can be overwhelming, too – especially as a first time mum. After all, not only have you just given birth – whether vaginally or via c-section, you’re experiencing huge physical changes too. A drop in hormones often leads to mood swings – baby blues are a real thing! And not to mention – you now have a brand new little one…

Welcome back my friend! In this post, I’m sharing the labour essentials that have got me through four unmedicated Hypnobirth labours. I first shared this post while expecting my second baby in 2018. We’ve welcomed two more babies since then, so I’ve had plenty of trial and error finding out what products are worth your money, and which are not. These are the items you’ll use to make your Hypnobirth labour easier and more comfortable! A useful tip: I take my labour essentials with me separately so I can access everything easily without it getting mixed into my other postpartum and hospital bag items. Having these items in an easy to access pack makes me feel so well-prepared in my final weeks. I hope you enjoy reading about them! Labour essentials checklist Here’s the list of essentials: Birth preferences and notes Undoubtedly the most important part of your labour essentials!…

Since I’m a few weeks into my third trimester, I thought it would be a good time to share my third trimester essentials and a 7 month pregnancy update. The third trimester brings a whole new set of needs, doesn’t it? For me, it’s all about preparation. Things are about to get real! There’s the practical preparation, like washing my baby’s clothes and planning who will care for Jonah. But there’s also the physical and emotional preparation for labour, birth, and life with a newborn! During my third trimester with Jonah, I followed a HypnoBirthing course with my hospital. This pregnancy, I’ve used the same HypnoBirthing practise since the start of my third trimester. I have a nice daily routine of listening to affirmations, breathing practise, guided relaxation, and drinking raspberry leaf tea. Soon, I’ll be doing perineal massage and eating dates. Third trimester essentials checklist Emotionally, I’ve been up and…
